I recently had an issue with my booking, as my accommodation was changed at the very last minute and in my opinion, slightly different from what I had originally reserved.
However, their staff, Andrew N, responded quickly to my concerns and showed genuine care in handling the situation.
While the change in accommodation was not ideal, the level of customer service I received helped turn a frustrating situation into a much more positive one.

Never again will we deal with Luxury Escapes for a tour. The worst communication from start to finish where it seems once they have your money they move on. We just completed a "DELUXE" 22 day Spain, Portugal & Morocco 2026 Odyssey with Seville, Porto and Sahara Desert Glamping. From the start of dealing with LE being pressured to become a Lux Plus member in order to get a cheaper cost, after paying the deposit, I checked on the website and the price had actually come down. A non member could get the tour $800 cheaper per couple than I paid. Provided them with a screenshot to be told that yes prices could fluctuate, read the fine print. In Madrid, our pick up from the airport was a non English speaking driver who dropped us in a back street "near" our hotel which we had to find on our own.
All hotels were 3 star at best, definitely not luxury. My husband and I were allocated twin beds as that supposedly had been requested - NOT! After being reassured this wouldn't happen again, it did on the tour. The bus for Spain and Portugal was fitted with toilets that the driver said we could use in an emergency, the tour guide forbad it. Both the driver and the "guide" both smoked at rest stops and stunk the bus with the cigarette smell that made sitting near the front unbearable. The "guide" was no more than someone who told us what time breakfast was and what time the bus left the next day. No commentary throughout our bus journey in Spain and Portugal, fell asleep in his seat most of the the time and didn't accompany the tour party on most of the excursions. At the end of the Spain/Portugal leg he bid farewell to us with no one having any details of the flight the next day to Casablanca. The tour members had to push him to find out.
The Morocco leg of the tour wasn't much better. The bus was old, had arm rests broken, some seats didn't recline and no USB ports for phone. The bus even broke down and when "fixed" there was no air conditioning. The same issue as in in Spain and Portugal with the driver and guide smoking and they had more photo op stops so they could smoke than requested stops by passengers for toilet breaks.
The Sahara Glamping which we were most looking forward to was a joke. Our unglamorous tent flooded when we had a shower, and there was no lock on the door if we left the tent. There was no "meal by the campfire under the stars" but rather crammed into a hot marquee tent with other tour groups.
Day 21 which was supposed to include lunch, didn't, which was an added expense. I brought this up with the tour guide who argued and dismissed me.
For a company that claims the word "Luxury Escapes" and uses "Deluxe" in describing their tours is misleading. There was nothing Luxury or Deluxe about this tour and at no time did any tour members feel like that they had the experience they imaged they would be getting considering what they paid for.

The Turkish component of our tour was fantastic. Wonderful tour guide (Fatih Develi) who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond expectations.
The hotels were a mix of fantastic to mediocre.
The whole tour was incredibly interesting and fun.
The Australian office for all our bookings, flights etc were appalling. Poor communication, disorganised and very hard to make contact with whether by phone or email. Often the information that was emailed or received by phone was incorrect or conflicting.
I would be cautious about using Luxury Escapes again for overseas.
I would highly recommend Small Group Adventures based in Istanbul, the 3 guides leading our tour were excellent.

Great tour. Outstanding guide. Covered all the important sites and more. Bus transport good. Fatih Develi who was our guide made the experience incredible. Unfortunately Luxury Escapes in Australia let us down very significantly. Poor communication. Conflicting information and worst was one luxury escapes agent to the next had no idea what was going on. We had no dedicated agent and it was luck of the draw if they could even understand what they had booked for us. They even denied booking flights which they had earlier booked. A complete shambles of an organisation. We will be reluctant to book with them again. People who live in Victoria reported ok service but interstate bookings beware. Thankfully our tour was a huge success thanks to the Turkish crew. No thanks to Luxury escapes

This used to be my favorite service - have booked multiple trips with them and recently joined LuxPlus. However now I would never recommend them to anyone - which is sad as all issues are in their control. Firstly, LuxPlus. I see this status when I logon as I only just joined in October 2025. For an upcoming trip to Thailand I received an email saying I could have saved 110$ if I was a LuxPlus member. When I inquired, they said I booked via Spain not Australia website. Huh?!? I travel all the time and book via their crappy app. Welcome to a global economy LE. Secondly, they gave me Gold status in December and I was about to enjoy these perks for the same upcoming Thailand trip. When using their atrocious help function in the app, I pointed out their own T&Cs suggest when one earns Gold it is for the remainder of that year AND an additional year. Their own T&C use an example of a June 30 2025 tier expiration earning Gold in March 2025 and therefore having the benefits apply until June 30 2026. Great except they downgraded me to Silver April 30 2026 after earning Gold in December 2025. No extra following year granted. I’m done with shady companies and terrible customer service. I will never again recommend Luxury Escapes after numerous referrals I have offered and am sharing my experience here, Reddit etc. so others can be fully warned.

We’ve just finished the Deluxe 15-day Best of Japan 2026 with Tokyo, Hiroshima & Osaka tour with Luxury Escapes.
We loved Japan but we were disappointed with the hotel accommodation and some of the meals that were included, they were not to a standard that we expected when we are doing a DELUXE tour with LUXURY Escapes.
On our first night in Japan we were supposed to indulge in traditional Japanese cuisine as a welcome dinner but were taken to a Peruvian Restaurant. Twice during the tour we were told lunch would be Soba or Ramen but this never eventuated.
We were also annoyed by the amount of time we spent standing around while our tour guide went off to buy tickets for trains, visits to castles, shrines and other tourist attractions. At Osaka Castle we waited 40 minutes while the guide queued to buy tickets. The tickets for all attractions and trains should have been pre-booked so we weren’t wasting time waiting around and then being rushed through places because we are now short on time to get to the next place.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable but very quietly spoken so if you weren’t standing right in front of her while she was speaking you missed what was being said. It would have been better if we all had ear pieces so we could hear what was being said without needing to be right in front of the guide.
We chose Luxury Escapes and paid a higher price than some other tours as we wanted a smaller travel group and a bit more luxury than the standard tour, but speaking to friends that did a similar tour to ours at a cheaper price we received the same standard as them.
After this experience we wouldn’t book another tour through Luxury Escapes.
