Fast and direct customer service
I spoke with Lara on the phone and she helped with hopefully flagging my bank account to be provisioned ASAP. Her customer service was great, to the point and helpful for me to understand why certain things aren’t automatically approved.
Danish bureaucracy makes it difficult to get things set up quickly in order to be a working immigrant in this country so hopefully Lunar can help me accelerate this process!

Any other bank in Denmark will provide you with a significantly better customer experience. DO NOT FALL FOR THE MARKETING
You can obviously not run a bank where you think it is OK to have an AI tell your clients it will take 7 days to get in touch with a human.
Right now, I am number 55 in a phone queue.
Also, Lunar automatically hiked me to a more expensive plan, which is illegal.

Stay away from this bank. Nothing is straightforward. Opening the bank account took forever, my husband and me moved to Denmark and applied the same day and went through entirely different application procedure. He still doesn't have the account open, almost a month after the application.
I've been trying to change the transfer limit to be able to pay a car I purchased, it seems impossible, with all the documents they asked for. I lived in 3 different European countries, I have never experienced this before.
I had to upgrade the plan to a payment plan to be able to call the support, as I can't wait 5-6 days for their AI to respond and to change the transfer limit.
The list is long. I will move to another bank as soon as possible
Update: both the processing of international transfers as well as of transfers within Denmark is incredibly slow. For days now my money is trapped somewhere in the system. I don’t receive the transfer of my own funds from my previous country, neither does the car shop receive the transfer triggered within Denmark ( 3 days already). My money is trapped by Lunar and their checks and I am unable to function properly. So to all expats moving to Denmark - don’t count on having your own money available any time soon.

Regarding your husband's application, if it has been in progress for about a month, it is often because additional information or documentation has been requested, or because certain details in the application require clarification. In such cases, we reach out through the app and sometimes by email to request the necessary information.
The overall processing time can also be affected by how quickly we receive the requested documentation and whether it meets the requirements needed to proceed. It is important to note that not one application is similar, and we handle them manually.
That said; I would like to take a closer look at your husband's case to review both the communication, the handling of the application, and the overall process to ensure a proper follow up.
Regarding the transfer limit increase, we do require documentation for larger limit adjustments as part of our security and compliance procedures. These checks are in place to help protect both our customers and the bank, and unfortunately they are not something we can compromise on.
I do, however, fully acknowledge that the process can feel frustrating, especially when you need to complete a time-sensitive purchase.
I'll be happy to look into both matters further to ensure that the communication, process, and handling of the cases have been appropriate. Also to make sure you get a proper follow up and the help you need.

I am sorry to hear if you have experienced a longer waiting time regarding your bank account.
This is not something we wish for to take long and our sign up team are working as fast and effective as possible, within the regulations they also have to follow in the application process.
If your application has been processing for longer time, it is highly because of some information in the application that has needed to be corrected. In these cases we reach out to our customers through the app and sometimes on email to notify that we need some information corrected.
When this happens the application will automatically take longer to be handled. Furthermore if we ask for extra documents and elaborations on some questions, this also affects the extended process time.
How quickly the customer get back to us with what we have asked for and if it is the correctly documentation also has an impact of the time frame.
I have requested for your contact information here on Trustpilot, to be able to identify your case and look into the communication, as we take this seriously, when you have been waiting for that long.
