At the check in desk we were asked to sign for the car care report without actually seeing the car. When I protested I was told that the car was brand new, with no scratches and that they are not concerned with anything under 5cm. At pick up we took a 2 minute video of the entire car which had 8K on the clock - so not brand new! Arriving back we were confronted by 2 women who stood on the drivers side only - straight away pointing at something, almost as if they were expecting to see something. They approached me and pointed to the drivers door key lock which had been damaged. I explained that we only used the electronic key fob and never the mechanical lock. As I remonstrated with them my wife played the video which showed the damaged lock from pick up day 1. They then went straight to the other rear side of the car to find the tiniest pin-sized dent, again, almost like they knew it was there. Luckily that was on video too (so much for anything below 5cm). I wonder if the next renters will be as vigilant because it's clearly a ongoing scam. The car in question is a white Panda

Quick and smooth pick up of hire car, no queue, assistant ok although quite persistent at trying to upsell to a bigger car for €40 a day extra. Car Hyundai Kona, more or less brand new, well specced, clean and full tank of fuel.

Very bad customer service and car management!
My car had bumps, tyre pressure was down, in the end was asking for maintenance service (oil change).
The cherry on top was that I returned the car 300m (no one to check the car) from the airport office, where I needed to return the keys. If I wanted to follow-up on the check of the car, I needed to go back to the car park.

Car rented from Trapani airport, booked before arrival. Staff was nice, English speaking, waited even though due a delayed flight I arrived after the opening hours. Clear communication, protocol handed over when picking up the car, quick inspection after car was returned. Deposit returned as soon as the car was checked. I had my private insurance, no problem to Locauto. Good experience.

No a lot of trying to sell extras like insurances, friendly lady at the desk in Trapani Airport, new clean car though a little smaller than booked/hoped for (booked VW T-Roc or similar and got a VW Golf) Easy return - key in a box but no one at the desk, but a number to call and the lady confirmed that key in the mailbox was super🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏻 Why make it more difficult😉

The rental was really easy and straightforward. Took maybe 5 minutes to cover all the paperwork. The parking lot is about 5 minutes from the airport, so you have to walk a little and find your car on your own. The return was also quick and without any big issues. We had some issues to find a parking space upon out return as the parking lot was pretty full, but it worked out in the end

The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and able to accommodate our needs. The car was in great condition. The car return process was very easy even when it was outside office hours
