I rented a Peugeot 2008 Hybrid from Locauto at Bergamo Airport for a 10-day road trip. Everything went smoothly from collection to return. The car was in excellent condition, comfortable, economical, and ideal for a long journey. Overall, I had a positive experience with Locauto and would consider using them again.

The check-in & out was smooth and easy.

The rental company was very accommodating and allowed us to return the car at the airport for an additional fee, with the condition that we refuelled it ourselves. This was extremely helpful, as we were running late for our flight due to heavy traffic and would otherwise have missed it.

The staff at Bergamo airport was not friendly at all. We arrived early and they kept us waiting for 40 minutes saying the car wasn't ready. The lady at the desk was very arrogant. select the staff more carefully. Otherwise, the cars are very good, clean and the prices are acceptable.

We returned the car without any issues and were told that there would be no problems regarding the minor damage caused by the severe storm on 19 July 2026, which caught us while driving on the motorway between Milan and Verona.

The following day, I received an email requesting payment of €1,500 for what was described as "serious damage", based on a damage table in which I could not identify the specific damage they were referring to.

I opened a dispute, but I was informed that it would take up to 15 days to receive a response, while my credit card would be charged within 48 hours. This makes it extremely difficult to defend my case before the payment is taken.

In addition, the rental contract is entirely in Italian. It was my mistake not to ask for an English version. However, although I enjoy visiting Italy, I do not believe that speaking Italian should be a requirement for renting a car there. Or is it?

I believe you have scammers working for you who are trying at all costs to make a sale by intimidating customers just to earn themselves a bonus; this is damaging the company’s reputation, and I advise you to think about it. I’m satisfied with the car itself, but I’d give the employees who hand out keys at the check-in counter a 1 out of 10—I believe there are scammers working there.

The car was new and very comfortable Attention was fast and efficient. Pick up and drop off where very efficient.

It was uncomfortable to take the bus to and from P3, avalet service to the terminal would much improve the experience.

Easy to use, especially if you fill documents online in advance. The kiosk is at the Terminal of the airport, then you are directed to take a small free bus ride to the parking where all the rent-a-car companies store the cars. Easy and nice, thank you!

Perfect experience. The price was a bit more expensive than expected, but it was worth it considering i picked up the car on the spot without prior reservation. I have full insurance coverage with no hidden fees, and a highway toll pass was included in the price. The staff were courteous and professional, both the lady on the counter and the boy who handed over the car. The vehicle was new and clean. No cash deposit or credit card deposit was utilised.

We had no problems because we took full insurance.

we got stuck without a car and had to take a last second rental. the lady at the desk was super helpful, quick, gave us by far the best price.

Honestly, I recommend this rental company. Although the procedures are a bit slack at first when filling out the paperwork, the service adheres to the established rules. If you indicated you were picking up the car at 12 noon and you arrive at 11, arrive at 12 noon because the car isn't ready yet – and there's no point in arguing.

But I ended up getting a car with an automatic transmission, I think because of my driving experience and my previous experience with this rental company.

We rented a VW Polo Automatic from Locauto and received the exact model we selected, which was practically brand new with only 14,000 km on the clock. The vehicle was in excellent condition.

The staff at the airport counter was very friendly, helpful, and spoke fluent English.

My only complaints are related to their website and mobile app. I was unable to create a user account due to a system error. I reported this issue via email but never received a response. In the end, I had to complete the booking online as a guest.

Upon arrival, I went directly to Parking P3 to pick up the vehicle, but I was informed that I had to go back to the airport terminal counter to re-enter all my personal details—even though I had already provided them during the online booking process. The agent mentioned that this step could have been skipped if I had a user account, but as mentioned, account creation was broken.

Overall, the rental car itself and the customer service on-site were top-notch, but Locauto really needs to fix their website/app bugs and improve their customer email support.
