Early days as I’ve only just ordered my sofa, but so far your website has been easy to navigate. I loved receiving the swatches and hot chocolate before I made my choice - a nice touch. I also appreciated not being pressured to go ahead with my purchase until I was ready to do so. I’m looking forward to the arrival of my new sofa.

Joe and his team made our visit not only extremely productive but very informative and enjoyable. We bought a sofa, bed and mattress.
Very patient and knowledgeable staff - real assets to Loaf... we also quite like the furniture too!

After the late delivery of my bed frame a couple of months ago, I removed my mattress for first time (Wincanton team member has ‘helpfully’ put it on bed before I’d seen the frame) to find the frame was incorrectly fitted, and the slatted part wouldn’t fit in. I called Loaf who sent a link to another provider to fix problem. Easy to book but they’ve now just cancelled my appointment for tomorrow. The whole experience has been stressful, disappointing, and puts me off using Loaf again. Charging premium prices for services that are below par, needs to be addressed.

The person who served us was slightly unprofessional complaining about her lunch break not being long enough. When we ordered our bed she didn’t check my email and she typed it in wrong so that I didn’t get a confirmation email. When I phoned up to get a confirmation email and correct the spelling the person didn’t update the records so I never got an email to my correct address to book delivery of the bed leading to a few weeks delay on the delivery of our bed. It’s a shame as the other staff in the store in Bristol were excellent but the person who ran our order through the til let the rest of the team down.

The lamp is fabulous the delivery was very prompt. However, your packaging is needs to be changed. It is. very unsustainable. Polystyrene and layers of plastic is not ok

Sofas are good. Service following sale is rubbish- expect automatic emails, AI bots and having to chase for a delivery date. You won’t get a person calling to confirm your very expensive order. Service in store was good.

Extreme sun damage fading.
We bought a sofa 6 months and in fairness we knew that the position of the sofa may get sun damage, but we were careful in the shop to ask about this. They said the fabric we chose was hard wearing and they had no experience of any issues and that all their sofas got sprayed with a protector.
As a precaution we do put the blinds down a lot (mainly to keep sun out of the room). However there is extreme fading of the sofa- embarrasingly so, where now it is grey and not blue.
Loaf dont want anything to do with it and says not their problem as its sun damage and no sofas should be touching any direct sunlight. Not covered with any guarantees or any consumer rights.
Its just not good enough for the price point and 6 months on with such extreme fading. If you have any type of sunlight in a room (which I imagine most do) I would highly rethink if you are about to get a Loaf sofa.

Loaf sofas are beautiful and the showroom staff are very helpful. But the aftersales service is poor. My first pair of Dixie sofas (a 3 and a 4 seater arrived after 9 months from date of order (btw, the lounge is by now expensively decorated to match the sofas) but on one the fabric was torn on the back of the sofa. Loaf offered to replace. After 8 weeks another sofa arrives, unbelievably torn in exactly the same place 🤷. Sofa can't replace, the fabric has run out. They offered to replace again with a different colour, I declined. They did offer a discount.
Now three years later the arms are wearing noticeably, I have no pets or children, Despite a £400 professional specialist clean, at my expense, they are starting to look shabby.
Loaf response, "sorry they are 3 years old now, nothing we can do. We do not offer a refurb service anymore"
My conclusion
Use your loaf before you buy.

Was greeted as soon as I entered the store by a very nice gentleman who then helped with fabric choices/ colours etc as I was coming to view a specific sofa and chair. Very knowledgeable and super helpful

Great experience at Wilmslow- friendly, knowledgeable staff and a well laid out showroom with a relaxed vibe. Loved the sweet treats too! Looking forward to the arrival of my new sofas.

my sofa arrived in November and one of the legs was unable to be attached because my sofa was manufactured with a missing leg insert. the installers told me to notify loaf and that someone would be sent to fix it. I have tried 4 times to get a response after I sent them images of the evidence and they have not replied. I feel like I am yelling into the void. Once they get your money, they don't care.
Also the seams on the sofa were very poorly sewn.

We recently visited the Redbrick Mill store and had the best experience from the second we walked in. The lovely guy (whose name escapes me but worked Saturday morn) gave us the run down of the sofa we liked but without the usual sales pressure you get at some stores. By the end of it he remembered our living room dimensions, made really helpful suggestions (it was clear he knew his stuff) and we had a good laugh too. Thrilled with what we’ve chosen and we can’t wait for the sofa to arrive!

All fine. Everything about the purchase experience is great. Just hope it wont arrive damaged as last time and cushions wont sink so low we cannot get out of it.
We are obviously crazy optimists
