Silencing Tenants for Speaking Up
I stayed at LiveIn @ Dormitorio Serpong, and what shocked me most wasn’t the smoking violations or unreliable wifi, it was how management handled our complaints.
For months, tenants raised legitimate concerns: cigarette smoke violating no-smoking policies, hallway lights left off for hours, and wifi running off another tenant’s electricity (yes, seriously). After trying to resolve it privately and getting nowhere, I finally voiced it in the group, and guess what? That’s when they took action. But instead of fixing the root cause long-term, they decided to punish the messenger.
My lease was terminated early because I “complained too much.” So apparently, asking for basic decency and safety is now a crime. There was no empathy, no accountability, just gaslighting and retaliation. They even claimed my complaints caused others to leave, without any proof.
If you’re thinking of staying here, know this: unless you stay silent and smile through the dysfunction, don’t expect respect. Because in this building, management prefers quiet tenants over responsible ones.
