AVOID THESE CROOKS!

Like some other unhappy customers on here, I ordered the Cleo womens messenger bag. It too arrived in a crumpled plastic bag from China with no Leafy Souls branding, but a scrappy Ri YiHuang logo on the front. Very poor quality, certainly not worth a fraction of what I paid for it.
I emailed them to point out they were shonky and they offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase (no way would I ever buy from them again). Dont believe the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on the front page of their website.
These guys are crooks taking advantage of people wanting good quality, ethical and sustainable products.
I wouldnt even give this bag to the op shop ... straight to the rubbish bin it goes!!!

I am not 100% satisfied with this…

I am not 100% satisfied with this company's lack of full disclosure or the ability to TRACK the item. I had to wait 6 weeks for my delivery and that didn't include the 1-5 days they tell you it will take to process. I also had many correspondence with them via e-mail. Which I did get a response, but usually with little satisfaction. I told them they should post the time for delivery in bold print so there isn't any confusion. I had to go to a completely random page to see their money back guarantee. It tells you it may take 8 weeks with either an exchange or a store credit. Rare is a refund if ever. Now for the product. I was shocked to see that it was exactly what I expected. I love it. A bag that I can't remember the name of, but it turns out to be good. Would I ever order again. Probably, sadly pretty sure not! The 3 stars is that I received the e-mails, I received the product and I got what I ordered.

Excellent customer service - will definitely buy from them again

I think this company is really cleaning up its act as I have had wonderful dealings with them this past week! Yes, delivery took a long time, but I loved the faux leather jacket in light blue and the size was perfect, which is always a bit of a guess. The second item I ordered was a bag but not the colour I had hoped for. Their response was really quick, pleasant and helpful. I really think they are working hard to learn from their initial teething problems and could not recommend them enough based on my experiences and will order from them again!!

AVOID THE HEADACHE

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. You aren't getting a good deal. I bought the faux fur coat in November and did not receive until yesterday - that's almost 3 months. Also, don't think you're getting a luxurious feeling trench coat - the length in the images is deceiving, it only goes to the hips. The fabric that they used feels like dirty worn nylon, and if gotten in a lighter color be prepared for raindrop STAINS. The 'lining' on the inside is an absolute joke... Patchy, faux-fur Chinese garbage.
The customer service I received was absolutely terrible, they clearly have computer responses as I received the same message back twice in my complaint. Also, don't bother to try calling, they don't pick up and they definitely will not call you back.
It's a shame this company is monopolizing on the small market for vegan apparel, when the products received are clearly non-vegan.

Leather trimming.

I bought a Cleo bag, and the trimming on it is definitely leather, you just have to look at the reverse side to know! I also don't find it's various pockets usefully sized or located, and can't understand what you use the zipped flap for. A poor buy.

Very happy

I ordered the Cleo bag a few weeks ago and got the bag yesterday. I love it, it looks exactly like the picture. I was worried as I read some reviews where people had a bad experience with either wait time for delivery or the quality. I found the wait time wasn't that bad for an online purchase and the bag is exactly what I expected when I ordered it.

Terrible company

I’m now reading what I wish I would have known prior to ordering a Cleo messenger bag over 4 weeks ago. Still has not arrived!!!!! I messaged the company and told them I thought it was a scam and I got a reply that expressed everything to the contrary. I don’t believe it. Especially after reading the comments in this forum. If you are a lucky individual reading this before placing an order, do not purchase from this company. Stay away!!!!!

Regret ordering from this company

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering a vegan bag in December which has still not arrived.I sent at least four emails which were ignored. Believing the company might be bogus I contacted Facebook (where the advert had been placed). Within an hour I got an email from them saying that delivery could take five weeks. I still haven't received the bag but get daily messages from them telling me to order something else before midnight to grab a great deal. I still have not received my bag and will never order from them again.

Cheap Chinese Crap

Vegan, my butt. This is made-in-China junk. I paid $64 for a Cleo Messenger bag (regularly $225 -HA!).
It’s not worth $64, let alone $225.

Undoubtedly a scam

Edited: 22nd Jan. bag arrived today. It is absolutely awful. Cheaply made, came in a tatty plastic bag with nothing else. No infoformation on how to return etc. I very much suspect it is NOT VEGAN! There is a smallish circular leather like embossed panel on the front of the bag with the name RU YI HUANG. The company who have made the bag maybe!? Nothing to relate this product to 'Leafy Souls', which I believe is a dubious 'company. You could easily pick up a bag like this from a local market for £7.99. Certainly not happy at spending $50. Have requested return information and raised an issue with Paypal.

I started to look into this company further after ordering a bag just after Christmas which still has not arrived. I got a notification of shipping at the beginning of January with a shipping tracking number, ut nothing happened on the status until 14th Jan. despite several emails, no answer back which has raised my suspicions. I started looking into the company, but the details of who has registered the domain name leafysouls.com has been made private. It seems that the company registered for the domain name is in Panama. Apparently their 'regisitered' office is in Singapore, but their shipments come out of China. I suspect the product isn't even vegan as adverisited, although I ordered the bag because I liked it, not because it was Vegan. I think the whole thing is a complete scam and they are shipping shed loads of cheap bags out of China and charging customers $50 a bag. Beware!!!

Deeply unintelligent and un-conscious practices masquerading as ethical …

I agree with all of these negative comments. This company has zero integrity. First of all I’d like to suggest that if you haven’t already , go to the LeafySouls Facebook page and ‘report’ them as a scam and ‘unlike’ the page if you liked it ( I think this is possible) A lot of their web traffic comes via FB - they seem to have 17k + ‘likes’ on their page which is utterly astounding given that most people seem, like me, to take a dim view of them. It sounds as though there are enough disgruntled customers to warrant FB taking action. FB have strict rules and will act of enough people report their experience. I began to doubt the wisdom of my choice to buy a couple of bags from them when I started to receive ridiculous emails purporting to be a guide to veganism but were little more than deeply unintelligent , poorly written trash which seems to be inciting revulsion of non vegans - which in itself is hugely ignorant and unlikely to win over any hearts or minds or educate anyone. One of the emails was so ridiculous it was almost laughable - it was a guide on what to say to “That Guy “ who takes you out to dinner and he’s not vegan. It is so far off the mark of being the sort of reading material any intelligent vegan ( or otherwise) is likely to want , this illustrated to me that behind the scenes these people don’t give a stuff and are just churning out content which seems to be aimed at outdated stereotypes. If you have not already given them your money - don’t ! I heartily wish I’d given my money instead either direct to a charity and/ or bought from a more reputable company such as Beyond Skin . If my bags do arrive I will a) eat my (vegan) hat and b) let you know if they’re any good

If you see something you like on their website, stop and reconsider.

I ordered the Esther canvas bag on November 23, 2018, and just received it this week. The fact that I did receive what I ordered is the only reason I’m giving them two stars. I sent them an email on January 2 asking about the status of my order, and still have not received a reply.

As far as the bag is concerned, let’s say I’m glad I only paid about $45.00. These bags have supposedly been marked down for months, but there is no way they are worth $100 or more. I ordered one in red, the color I got is more of a plum/burgundy color, the strap that closes the bag on top is sewn crooked, and the lining is cheap nylon that sounds like paper crumbling when you touch it. I’m not going to bother to return it, because it showed up in a plastic bag with no receipt or return label, and Leafy Souls states on their site that they will rarely accept a return and refund. Judging from their lack of response to me and other reviewers, this is how they operate. I wish I would have stopped myself before I got taken in.

In short, take a look at other options before you order from them. You can get better vegan products for the same price from a responsive company that won’t take two months to ship.

This company is SCAM

This company is SCAM - If you order 2 items, they will send you only 1 and steal the remaining balance of the funds you paid them. They do this by NOT sending you an itemized receipt of the goods you purchased. Then they also advertise grossly marked down prices without specifying when the markdown occurred so that if you were to try to dispute the exchange of goods for your purchase, they can claim that the higher price of a single item (not both items), is what your actual purchase reflects. If you try to correspond with the company either by phone or email - you will not get a response...PERIOD. I have tried to contact this company on 4 separate occasions over a period of 2 weeks. No response what so ever. And the most egregious issue - They imply on their website that all their products are vegan. The product I received had straps all over it that were made of LEATHER. Completely unethical and disgusting.
