Outstanding service from Jack Neo at Lawsons. I’d spent considerable time comparing merchants and specifications for a sizeable timber order, and Jack’s customer service stood out by some distance.

He was exceptionally responsive, patient while I refined the quantities, and proactively sharpened the pricing rather than simply processing my original request. When a final re-measurement meant I could reduce the quantity, Jack revised the order again and actually improved the unit prices too.

The result was exactly what excellent merchant service should achieve: the right specification, a better combination of lengths, substantially less unnecessary timber, an excellent final price and a confirmed delivery date - all made remarkably straightforward.

At no point did I feel pressured to place the order. Jack concentrated on helping me get it right first, and the sale followed naturally.

This was my first order with Lawsons, but based on Jack’s service it certainly won’t be my last. I’d happily recommend both Jack and Lawsons to friends, tradespeople and other personal contacts. First-class customer service.

I am writing about the Edgware branch of Lawsons. Charlie there always remembers me and very quickly and easily locates my historical orders to check if I ordered any item in the past and tries to improve on the prices.

Fast, efficient and delivered when promised

Order over the phone was easy, polite and reliable branch manager, english easy to understand.
Delivery lead time as expected, driver called and was polite and easy to understand.
Can’t put 5 star as couldn’t inspect delivered materials at time of review.
Following materials inspection - timber was in very good condition although for some reason the width and thichness of the rails varied slightly.
Worth shopping again there.

Tbh system is very slow you wait to be served blocks over other yard they take as long as it takes to drive over other and collects 2 different size blocks once loaded I pay !! 30/40 mins of day I won’t get back !! Staff helpful , friendly etc but system not great imo
