I had a great experience with my online visit. Why only 3 stars? I went for lab work as ordered and when I got there they had orders for a male and I am female. I tried to call the number from the lab and was told the number was wrong. I then had to do a whole new online appointment to get a new lab order (no complaints at all about my second appointment). New orders submitted without delay but not before I wasted FOUR HOURS trying to straighten it out. I would have spent less time if I had just gone to a physical location.

Have good customer service and they called me back several times until the issue was resolved.

Your doctors are not trained to handle preventative medicine. I have studied Lyme disease and tick borne infections for over a decade. I recently was bit by a western black leg tick (twice), and I came to your platform to get the CDC recommended preventative treatment- doxycycline 100mg BID twice daily for 10-21 days. Your staff only offered the 200mg single dose prophylaxis. This is criminal, as doxycycline is rather safe my situation called for it. I live in an area with high rates of Lyme and 6 other common tick vector diseases- all of which are improved by 6-21 days of doxycycline depending on the infection.
I have 2 choices: just wait and see if I get symptoms, spend thousands of dollars on testing, spend months arguing with doctors who don’t understand infection disease, spend months arguing with infectious disease specialists about Lyme and how it is not straight forward, and waste my time, and be stressed out, and waste all my resources trying to figure out how to get better - and some of these infections don’t get better if you wait too long, it’s a death sentence.
Or option 2: you put me on 100mg doxycycline twice a day for up to 21 days, and I avoid option 1 completely.
Patients dont come to you or doctors to ask permission to treat their health the way they want. They come to you, and you advise them, but ultimately let those in charge of their own health call their own shots with in reason. I came to you to get doxycycline that is appropriate for my situation. Instead you get me inadequate care and if I don’t like it I was told to go see my pcp. Screw that. That’s abusive, frustratingly angering, and unacceptable. Failing to treat my condition in accordance with CDC guidelines is criminal, because I have no more than 10 days from the date of the bit to get on the doxycycline. After 10 days infections like Lyme become systemic. Most of the time systemic infections have no symptoms until 10-40 years later something impacts your immune system - child birth, car accident, grief - and boom you have full blown symptoms, because Lyme disease is opportunistic like that.
Every doctor needs to study tick born illness, and the 83+ different infections that can be transmitted with a single tick but, many worse than Lyme. They need to be familiar with names in the field like Dr. Richard Howowitz. They need to understand that prevention is THE only option. It is the cheapest, and it is not worth risking. Any tick bit should be treated as exposing - with or without symptoms. The presence of symptoms does NOT indicate exposure or infection. Any tick bite should be treated doxycycline 100mg twice daily for 10 days at a minimum. The prophylaxis of a single dose of 200mg is only appropriate before exposure same day, or if the tick never go into the blood. My tick left a massive blood red and black nasty wound on my leg that looks necrotic. It got into my blood. They should have know what to do instead of argue with me because of your policy.
You should update your policy to reflect the reality of tick vector illnesses- erring the side of caution, to protect the livelihood of people, because that is your job. There is no excuse for ignorance. You are obligated.
As for me, I canceled my subscription and I bought doxycycline for fish, and I will be taking 100mg of that twice a day for 10-21 days, because I’d rather do that than risk my future in the hands of undereducated “health professionals” who don’t have my best interest at heart, who have no training in this area, and who think I come to them for permission rather than to serve me in my health journey.
Your doctors have a very toxic culture, ego, and privilege. They think they are in charge of their patients. They think patients do what they say because they are the doctor and somehow that makes them god. Well, I refuse. I wouldn’t blindly allow a doctor to dictate my health aren’t me when my health is my responsibility, and I suffer the consequences of those decisions. If someone comes to you and doesn’t know anything, that’s their choice. But when someone like myself comes to you and says this is what I want and here is the justified reason - who are you to tell me no? I tell you what I want, you advise me, but ultimately it is my decision. Like I said, I’m not asking permission, I’m telling you what I want. There should be ZERO reason to deny someone with a tick bite a full prescription of doxycycline when the risks without proper treatment are far beyond your nightmares. It’s insane the way I was ignored, disregard, told to go else where, told that I have no power, no control, and no choice. I do have a choice. And you can’t stop me.

This is about Stefan Pomrenke, MD not taking the time to thoroughly review my case and just referring me out because he was afraid of prescribing me medications. The antibiotics that were given did not work and instead of prescribing me alternatives like an antiviral, he chose to wash his hands clean off the case because he said my eyes looked.bad. I told him going to a specialist in person, they will just prescribe me antivirals. If I wanted to go in person, I would’ve done just that. But I chose to do tele-health because of the convenience, like everyone else. He wouldn’t help me so I had to beg my ophthalmologist to move our appointment that day and luckily she did. Guess what happened? She did an exam of my eyes and said all that’s swollen are my eyelids and not my eyes and that she didn’t know why I was told to have my eyes checked. She prescribed me antivirals. Surprise, surprise. Maybe get doctors that have more experience and are more willing to help patients that obviously are going the tele-health route for a reason and not a doctor who is fearful of writing prescriptions over chat.
Also one minor thing that bothered me with him was in the middle of our consultation, he asked if I needed an interpreter. I don’t think I stuttered during the chat nor was my English broken. My grammar is understandable. I know it’s not protocol to ask that because this isn’t my first or second time doing K-Health and never was I asked this question. If this is a “protocol” question to be asked, it should be asked in the very beginning and not in the middle of the chat after determining the patient can speak English. It’s like visiting a doctor in person and already chatting with them in English and the doctor asking if I need an interpreter in the middle of our consultation. Never have I experienced this through any type of doctor’s consultation whether online or in-person. It was just weird to me.

I had to wait over an hour for a doctor.. on the questionnaire you ask what meds work for me.. but the doctors never give the meds you have taken in the past.. they gave me one that made me very sick and I had to call you back and then they gave me the meds I suggested in the first place! This entire process could have been avoided had they listened in the first place. Thank you.

Had a uti and all they would tell me was to go to urgent care after I paid. Wouldn’t even prescribe any pyridium for the pain until I was able to get an appointment

This was a good experience. I was a little sad that they encouraged me to be seen in person, HOWEVER, they took an x-ray and saw that I had pneumonia so it was great that the Dr sent me to be seen in person!

Came for a second appointment. Sadly am NO stranger to infected teeth and have had more root canals and extractions than I would like to admit. Essentially for a follow up where I needed an alternative antibiotic because I am getting worse not better they wasted my time with their stupid AI chat that takes like 20 minutes, and then the doctor was not willing to change my antibiotic even. I’ll be going to a different virtual provider and if they don’t believe me either I will just go in person and if I must I will go to the ER.
we have a dental care crisis in the USA and feeling shamed for not going to a dentist, and a doctor essentially refusing to treat you because you can’t afford a dentist even though you are PAYING THEM FOR HELP to at least be able to eat and function… ugh. I have never felt so disrespected, belittled and ignored by a doctor. Someone needs to report these people to a health board that can see if they can shut them down if they’re just for stealing money and not giving what can help, which is what most reviews seem to hint to…
I wonder if the doctors are even freaking real at this point… thank god this is provided by my employer as a benefit and instead of money wasted for me it was just time but for those who are spending money… RUN!!!

This was the easiest most efficient process ever! I didn’t even have to do a video call which was so great when I was already feeling ill. I will definitely be using this again!

The app was helpful and made the process of explaining my symptoms easy. The doctor’s response time was fast. However, when you are chatting with an actual person they close out the cat way too fast. I had asked for a sick note and did not receive it. I had to open up my chat 4 more times and keep asking for my sick note. I was told it was sent, but I didn’t receive it until an hour later and 4 people later. I did confirm the email, I received the invoice just fine. I also checked my junk folder, nothing. It was very frustrating. I was simultaneously on hold on the phone with your patient customer service for 50+ mins no one answered the phone, the automated system said it would be a hold time of 3-5 mins, it was 50 and no one ever picked up

If you’re used to seeing a real doctor, expect your experience to be different than what you’re used to. I used this service because I was unable to see my regular doctor. They billed my insurance for one thing, whereas my regular doctor would have billed it for something else. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars and they’re unwilling to adjust it.

This visit was so convenient, quick, and helpful. It is not a priority for my husband to go out when he is feeling unwell, sometimes delaying or preventing rapid treatment, so this option was a gamechanger. Texting with a clinician in minutes with a simple diagnosis allowed fast diagnostics, a prescription being issued, and a faster recovery for my hubby. Thank you!!
