Took about 6 days to arrive. Just made my first lunch and love it! Love the Chefbox design, it's compact but still spacious and cooks really fast!
Was sent the wrong order in November. The company decided to ignore what I ordered & sent me an entirely different pot. I have had to open a dispute with PayPal as this company is refusing to acknowledge the problem & are dragging their feet sending me a returns label. Why should I return the order at my own expense? When your the ones clearly at fault? Never ordering from this awful company again
I ordered a Chefbox and became concerned when, five days later, it still hadn’t shipped. I sent an email to the company and they replied with what appeared to be an automated response warning me that due to staff shortages, delivery might be delayed.
It was eventually dispatched from China and arrived today (8 days after I ordered, so well within their estimated delivery range of 5-10 days). The packaging was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition.
I’ve just made my first meal in it and kind of had to wing it because you don’t really get a recipe book with it (just a timings/water guide for different types of food). I cooked chicken with garlic, ginger, honey, and red chilli paste with vegetables. I ignored the booklet and cooked it for 55 minutes and it was perfect. The chicken was as good as from our local takeaway and the veg was awesome.
So… it took a little while to arrive but it was well worth the wait. 😋
Worst customer service ever! I bought two of the travel boxes for work. The food didn't get that warm enough and it was too fussy. Also cleaning all the parts just wasn't worth it to me. So I packaged everything up, paid to ship it back to the company, and never heard a word after many attempts to reach customer service. I think it was a complete rip off.
I ordered an electric teapot from this company at the end of September. They sent me the wrong item. I've emailed them about ten times now over the past month+. They responded to one email ten days ago but still have not taken any corrective action-- ie. refunding my money for sending me an item I did not order. I don't trust this company one bit.
Itakico support emailed me after my initial review came out and they decided to send another unit to me in a few weeks. I sent them a video on the unit problem and sent it to the Support team. Few days later, the problem was resolved and I will get an another unit to replace the broken one. I elevated my review to 5-stars on returns.
Only 2 stars as the unit arrived intact but the power cord does not fit into the cooker. It is so loosely fit, that it easily falls out when trying it out. Emailed Support but no response as i want to return or exchange. Another useless toy that cost $62 dollars to be regifted during christmas, ho, ho, ho
Shipping was faster than expected. The instructions were general and terrible but YouTube helped a great deal. Customer service was decent as they helped me download the recipebook that was supposed to be included. The product itself works great but the whole post purchase experience could be better…
too light weight and bowl is not removable not cleaning return postage $32.88! Not much refund after that cost to return. If I get any.
OCTOBER 6TH. STILL NO RESPONSE ON REFUND!
OCTOBER 11TH, STILL NO RESPONSE OR REFUND!
Had the original Pro for years and decided to give the smart ones a try. Definitely an improvement overall but takes a bit of getting used to. May try the smart jumbo one next!
Item stopped working within 2-3 weeks from being received and was only used 2-3 times. I sent in an email (coz there’s no other way to contact them as the phones don’t work) and that was waaaaaaaaaay back July 4th. I didn’t receive a response till July 10th, and now, after providing proof that the item is defective. Still no response, replacement, or refund. I have ordered from itaki.co before but now…. Makes me want to bring my business elsewhere!🤬
Stopped working on the second try. Plastic piece that is supposed to fit snugly is too warped and leaks water everywhere, so you have to keep refilling it and food takes forever to cook. Electric button pad nonresponsive and does whatever it wants. Cheap Chinese crap.
COMPANY WONT EMAIL ME BACK AFTER SENDING ME WRONG ITEM
The collection was a bit overwhelming from their cheap models all the way to their higher end ‘smart’ models. I got one of their ‘classics’ and the bento GO 2.0 as well as a ramen pot(stainless steel cooker with the handle). My favourite would have to be the ramen pot followed by bento GO 2.0 as a close second. The ramen pot heats up extremely fast and versatile and I find myself using it almost everyday. The Bento GO 2.0 is great for work when you want something fresh and cooked on the spot and it’s also surprisingly good quality and well made. The classic looks a little on the flimsy side but can’t really complain given the price. It does what it does but I’ll probably be giving that one away. The manual leaves more to be desired given how many functions the GO 2.0 has so I am still learning all the features but overall it’s been a great experience so far. Will recommend to family and friends and probably getting a few more ramen pots as gifts. Very convenient !
Total rip off. $25 Amazon item selling for $65. No costumer service what so ever.
This product was a little pricey, but from everything I saw online it looked premium and well-built. That is not really the case. The outside shell has a lot of visible and tactile seams where it's clear that the various molded plastic bits were joined together. The top and bottom parts of the plastic outer shell also do not meet cleanly, meaning there are gaps.
The metal containers themselves (the part that touches the food) are fine and decent quality, but I do worry that I can't use too much force cleaning them otherwise I may bend them, since the metal is thin. However, they are replaceable and you can use any food-safe, heat- (steam-)safe container that will fit inside the plastic shell. The plastic lid that goes on top of the metal container has a silicone band that is meant to keep the container sealed; however, when cooking, the plastic lid is not rigid enough so it bends due to air pressure from the heat, disrupting the seal. Since the lid bends inwards, you also have to awkwardly dump the hot water off the lid before removing the containers from the shell / heating element prior to eating.
Overall this is not really practical for one of its main stated use cases (cooking/heating your lunch conveniently at your desk), since there are a lot of elements to take off, take apart, and find a place to set down before you can eat, and the food containers are quite hot to handle after being steamed. Since the outer shell has gaps and is not water tight (not including the steam vents at the very top), water can slosh out of the sides of the container if it is moved, so it is also awkward to transport the whole container together after your food has been cooked, if you would like to go gather with co-workers for lunch, for example. However, I have found it nice and convenient for cooking a single person's lunch at home.
This was one of those late night impulse buys on Instagram and honestly I was a little regretful the next day thinking it was another gimmick but it came super fast, less than a week to Denver! Been using it almost everyday since, rice comes out perfectly every time and shocking part is it actually cooks meat well! Easily most useful thing I've bought in a while its a game changer for me!
Upon receiving and inspecting the product, I was immediately dissatisfied with its quality. The item is constructed from what appears to be cheap, flimsy plastic, which does not align with the advertising on the site. Furthermore, I have serious concerns about its safety for food-related use, a primary reason for my request to return.
On the day I received the product, I attempted to contact the customer service through the online portal on the website to initiate a return and refund process. Unfortunately, my efforts to reach out were unsuccessful. This lack of response is concerning, especially considering the advertised 24/7 customer support line and the guarantee that all messages will be responded to within two business days. My subsequent attempts to contact the team via phone calls, where I left voicemails, and emails, also went unanswered. So much for 30 days guarantee.
Only later did I realize that many others are having issues with the company’s products and customer service. This pattern raises significant concerns.
Given the product is expensive as well and the stark discrepancy between the advertised and actual quality, coupled with the complete lack of customer support despite clear promises on the website, I find this situation entirely unacceptable.
Itaki's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have emailed the Itaki support advising them that only a part of my order was shipped. I only received two items even though their shipping documentation states that three items were shipped. I have sent multiple emails to their support, but have yet to hear back. I wish I had looked up online reviews instead of trusting Youtube and the company website.

My bundle arrived really fast like 3 days I actually got the tracking after it arrived! Everything's well packed and the Shabuki pot heats up super fast as well. Overall great experience will get more for Christmas
