Wow, horrible support

I received a large gift card as a rebate from a merchant. I'm unable to log in to active. Activating over the phone works, but I can't enter my address to actually use it. I've waited for support on the phone several times, but I get hung up on every time. Even the stolen card line hangs up on you! Avoid this company if at all possible. I don't know how I'm going to get anything out of my large rebate.

Incentive Card is Garbage

This card is horrible starts with trying to activate. Try and try to log in then finally after multiple trys you can activate. It was a $400 card but after logging in only $380 due to service charges. Remember I just got this card. Next try to use. LOL what a joke! this company has problems.

A tip for anyone unfortunate enough to get one of these

I got one of these from my job and couldn't spend it anywhere. I tried in a store with no luck, I tried on amazon.com with no luck, I tried on two other websites with no luck. Finally I was able to buy a gift card with it on CardCash (dot com)! So that's the tip, CardCash will accept these and send you a gift card that you can actually use without hassle. It does say on the card "electronic use only" which ... all card uses are electronic, but that's not what they mean, they mean "online purchases only"; but then lots of popular online retailers don't accept this card, so it's just a huge pain to try to spend it.

If you are an employer, I don't know what the sales pitch looked like from IncentiveCardLab but they are the biggest scam on Earth. They charge you a fee per card that you buy for your "valued employees", then they charge fees on the card after your valued employees can't figure out how to spend the money for a few months, and all that cash goes to this filthy half-baked company who doesn't deserve a penny.

Your employees will appreciate a gift card to Dunkin Donuts, Target, maybe just work it so you can write that extra money into their paycheck as a traditional bonus. IncentiveCardLab is just downright theft - you pay a fee to give money to your employees?? Why are so many employers suckered into this scam? Here, get in touch with me, If you give me $30 per employee, I'll give each of your employees $25 worth of Monopoly money! Sound good? That's IncentiveCardLab. My brain hurts from how ridiculous this is.

Worst gift ever. But then they fixed it.

I got a gift card from a vendor that was very generous that was a CardLab "debit" Visa, but I have yet to be able to use it. Restaurants reject them every time. I thought I'll get around that by using it for online purchases, but they got rejected too. I went to their website to check my balance (which was quickly getting eaten up by monthly fees) to see what was going on & it says your address has to match what they have. Sounds reasonable, right? So I entered my address information and --like everyone has mentioned here-- it won't make the change and tells me to call an 888 number where you can never get to a human. I feel like I'm in hell.

UPDATE: After a few emails back and forth with Vanessa (the operations specialist), I received a new card with a new expiration date and was able to successfully use it for an online purchase today. Success! Vanessa was very efficient and super-prompt in her responses. Vanessa, if you are a real person and not really a "team", Incentive CardLab should give you a raise. I'm changing my stars to 4 (they really belong to you), I can't quite make myself give that 5th star just because of all the previous times all of it didn't work.

Never can activate

Whenever I activate my card on this site, there is only "we could not update your address at this time. Please try again or call service center" message.
I have the card, and balance on it, but never can use.
Also, I can use only US address and phone number.
I already mailed them about it, they just keep saying 'call service center'.
Very narrow-minded, and never think about international customer.

Why would companies even entertain this option???

I can only repeat the negative stories as I have no positive!! In addition to the exuberant/ridiculous expiration fees and then the inability to activate the card before the expiry, I also was unable to speak to a Customer Service Rep who could help as my calls were always answered by an Automated System. In frustration I gave up. After reading reviews here I decided to try again in hope someone would respond to my inquiries. After finally being able to get ahold of someone I also encountered difficulties in that I live in Canada. My card was given to me by a reputable company as an incentive, however this has actually caused more difficulty. The Customer Service Rep I was finally able to speak with offered to reimburse up to 6 months of expiration fees but then had to inform me that because I am in Canada this offer can not be applied. STRIKE THREE!! This company should be out!!

Kim,

I am so sorry for the frustration. Unfortunately, we do have expiration fees that begin five months prior to the card expiring. I'm sorry the reimbursement does not apply to Canada. We are also unable to send you a new card to an address listed in Canada. We are currently in the process of making changes and will be supporting Canada. For now, I have spoken with the customer service department and we can resend the card to the company in which you initially received the card from. Please email me directly with your customer ID number, which is located on the back of the card, and we will see if we can’t get this squared away for you. Thank you so much for your feedback. It is always greatly appreciated.

So much for a free tank of gas w/my Carvana purchase. Card unworkable.

Many times I've attempted to check balance and activate the card given to me early this year by Carvana as a gift for my first tank of gas. Registered online, logged in, shared my personal info but the website just keeps sending me in circles. I quit in frustration, finally came back and it still won't work for me and now I am in the period where they start to charge $4.95 per month. Sigh. This makes Carvana, a great company look bad, and also makes incentivecardlab.com look like sharks and charlatans. So much for my tank of gas w/my Visa incentive card. I guess you are hoping I will give up in frustration. I am truly annoyed with this so-called free gift.

Awful

I purchased 50 cards for incentives for our employees for the great work that they do for us. I had the cards logo'd and everything, the cards looked great and came in a timely manner. What I did not realize was that you don't even have a whole year to use these cards, after 7 months they start charging you a fee of $4.95. I can't believe that! You are essentially double dipping, I have already paid the amount, shipping, card fees, and now on top of that you will start charging me because the cards haven't been used! Utterly outrageous! When I called they told me I could liquidate the cards and get a check back for the amount still on the cards. But wait, there is a catch of course! There is a $5 charge per card to issue you a check! With only having about $5 left on the card, I can't even get my money back! I am just so dissapointed by this company.

Should be Illegal!

When you pay full price AND fees to logo on top of that only To have a card expire fast.. in just 7 months it takes a $5.95 hit every month after that until its gone and the end of the one year mark.. They take it all for doing nothing! They must be very wealthy.. Our company is going to a different program. We did not use up a few $20 giveaway cards fast enough, and poof all gone! What a rip off, these companies hope people forget about their cards and just sit back and watch the free money roll in.. Wow! Needed to read the fine print!

Why do I have to give them at least 1 star?

If I could, I would give them -5. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I used to work in customer service so I know what goes on on the other side so I tend to be more patient with representatives than the regular consumer, but this company is absolutely awful. I don't even know why they have a customer service team. I order gift cards on 3/10, the estimated ship date was 3/14. It is now 3/21 and they have ZERO update for me other than there is a "delay in production" and that they "can't get a hold of anyone in production." I got the same message the last 4 times I've called. Their timelines changed every time I called, their policies changed every time I called but one thing remained consistent: they couldn't give me a straight answer. I couldn't be more disappointed, and I wish I would have read these other reviews before attempting to give them my business. I had a timeframe in which I needed these cards for employees and they completely fooled me into thinking they operated professionally and that I would have my cards in plenty of time. The only thing I am happy about is that they FINALLY (after 5 calls with customer service and no updates available) gave me a refund. I will never used Incentive Card Lab again.

This is the worst Gift Card I have ever received ~

Have not even used this incentivecard I received last year - now balance is $4 - What?
I did not understand the 4.95 fee monthly when it is near the expired date - question is why - Person who gave me give spent $50 and finally i figured out how to find my balance via phone and it is only $4
Found the website not user friendly - it is all about selling from what i find - click on the balance and it request info i do not have - so i gave up several times. Called the 888# yesterday and my balancewas - $4 - really!
checked transactions and it said fees were withdrawn Nov and Dec 2015
- even if that was ok - my balance should be at least $40
I do not understand or like the monthly fee of something that was a gift
called again today - balance is $20?? where is the remaining
Spoke to customer service and before he would answer any questions he wanted my name, name and ph # of person who gave to me - why?
This is the worst - i gave up intending to call later and get a different person.
What kind of gift is this - please reply

Worst customer service I have ever professionally received.

In my initial correspondent with this team I made double check sure that there would be no billing issues regarding address. I was assured every step of the way. When I requested a Manager I get on the phone with them and that is exactly what you told me is the issue. Why? All information has been in their hands to make this a successful and on time transaction. The balance for the cards has been deducted from my account and no merchandise is in my hand. Even the shipping on my issued account said it was sent out on the 19th of January. I made it very clear that this will be an incentive program conducted at the first of every month and at the price of nearly 800 dollars a month it would be nice to have some sort of customer service. Now I have a corporate company incentive meeting on the 1st of February and no incentives to give out. This puts me in a very compromising situation and can be attributed to the unprofessionalism, lack of merchandise knowledge and poor customer service communication. Please let me know in detail your next step. I respectfully requested that they send this to your top management so that the issue can be addressed and possible changes can be made to a system that is clearly not working. Heard nothing back. Worst Customer service i have ever had.

can i haz giftcard?

I am sorry to give this review such a bad title, but this company is as weak as an overused internet meme. Clearly they've found a way to get ranked at the top of the SERPs by leveraging SEO and domains (they own giftcard.com as well as giftcardlab incentivecardlab), but they've done nothing to keep themselves there.

After visiting the site(s) I was drawn in by the great interface and ability to add my company logo on the spot. I spent more than a day making it look just right and perfecting my holiday card greeting. On December 10th, I placed my order in full with my company credit card and received email confirmation that it would take 24 hours to approve.

28 hours later, I received a request for additional company info. Unfortunately it was Friday @ 4:50 PM. On Monday we sent everything over, I received a new email that the logo I used had to be approved and this was completed 2 days later. The next notification on 12/16 stated my order would be produced and shipped in 2-3 business days. So at this point we are already six days into the order process.

A further 7 days later and my order is somewhere in another state with this tracking info: 12/21/2015 Sender tendered the shipment to UPS after the latest pickup time for the requested service. A day delay is likely.
So we wont even have them on Christmas Eve.

I understand that you prepare customers for the worst by saying things like "24-48 hours" or "2-3 business days", but if you have to be faster than your worst timeline. The majority of approval steps I had to jump through were slightly past the expected window, enough to add a day here, a delay there. They should update their site to say "2-3 weeks to get cards."

At each interval I requested updates. I never received one response (not even automated), just the standard approval notifications and shipped status. All were later than reasonable and each delayed step became more depressing than the last.

Today I am on my way to the pharmacy to buy unbranded visa cards just so I can give my clients something for the holidays and not look like the Grinch.

Sincerely,
Lights are on but no bulbs

P.S. if I would have received a single response as quickly as you posted on my review you would have an ounce of respect. Instead you have proven you are only interested in hiring people to post on sites like this and not valuable responses from customer service reps.

Thanks for helping me disappoint my staff on Christmas!

Placed my order on 12/10/15 with GiftCardMall...the same as I've done for the past 5 years. Was told on 12/11/15 that I had to be converted to a corporate account with Incentive Card Labs. Fine, no problem. I supplied all of the required info to them. Heard back on 12/14/15 that my order was back in the queue to be processed. Fine, no problem. They charged my credit card the $3000 for my staff holiday gift cards on 12/15/15. Still haven't shipped my cards out....the least they could have done is upgraded the shipping so that my staff "might" get them by Christmas. Nope....they don't respond to messages and offer little info on the phone. It's 12/22/15....I think it's been more than enough time for them to ship out my order. So frustrating....will not deal with them again! Finding a new company to order from next year!

TOO LONG

I've never experienced a longer process to order something it takes minutes to get at a local pharmacy or store.

The "approval process" takes an incredible 2-4 days. Most sites take a matter of seconds to confirm that your credit card is valid, that the funds are available and to verify the mailing address is what you state it is to prove it is yours to prevent fraudulent use. Then your order is processed and product SHIPPED in a day of two. How is it that this company needs 2-4 days just to process your order, and even when it states "processed" in your order history, you get an "estimated" shipping date that reflects you waiting for 2 days when in reality it is for the 4 days???

I placed my order on Nov 30th and here it is Dec 4th and my order STILL has not been shipped, and I actually paid an extra $24.95 for NEXT DAY delivery. Why, would it take 2-4 business to arrive once shipped using next day delivery?? When most companies say "next day delivery", you get your order ON THE NEXT DAY, not 2-4 business days. What, are they using pony express??

Never again...

Poor Service Delivery

It shouldn't take almost two weeks to fulfill an order. Then when you question the company, you will not receive an answer. My card was charged on 5/18 and I'm still waiting for my order. Unacceptable! No explanation from staff as to what is going on. The frustrating thing is that this is your money and, you are at the mercy of their incompetence and, they don't seem to care!

Such a royal PITA

Office uses these cards to incentivize employees and they're such a PITA that I've avoided doing anything that pays with these cards as a reward. I'd personally prefer free food or even company swag/apparel over these gift cards due to how much of a pain they are to activate, etc.

Just awful.

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would.

Customer service is confused, there is no internal communication and I have continuously had to follow up multiple times before getting an answer.

They tell you to put the name of the customer service rep you last dealt with in the subject line of your emails but still, nobody replies and you have to badger them.

When you finally do get an answer out of somebody, it is half-information and the long, treacherous cycle of trying to reach someone starts all over again.

There do not seem to be managers who you can escalate issues to as i have asked and nobody is ever available. All of this because I am trying to BUY SOMETHING FROM THEM. No thanks, I will take my business elsewhere.

I'd say, if you are lucky and all goes fine, then hey, well done to you.

But, If anything for whatever reason does not work out and you need to speak to their customer support, good luck! No one knows anything about what others are doing, every little thing has to be escalated, I have been waiting for an answer on a refund for over $500 for over 3 weeks now, and no one will ever reach out to me, even if I had requested several times to get a call back, or an email back from a supervisor or anyone.
