IKEA have failed to finish our kitchen…

IKEA have failed to finish our kitchen after 7 months. The latest installers from the IKEA contractor were terrible and could not make the worktop fit and dropped electrical equipment. After several emails, phone calls and copies of photographs there has been no offer of help from IKEA. The root of the problem is the very poor subcontractors supplied by Sama Logistica and IKEA should cancel this contract. But IKEA is also at fault for demanding all payments in full in advance and not providing a quick and solution minded customer service. IKEA Spain is NOT customer focused. I will try to update this review if there is any improvement in IKEA's behaviour. We will also try FACUA.

Phone them again and this time managed to speak to customer service agent
After explaining my problem again she then said. Go back to the store and you can have blue covers
I explained we don’t want blue we want grey
She explained they are not in stock may be in 5/6 weeks
I then told her that on the web site it says you can buy and have them delivered
Will try again next week but I think we will get the same answer

Zero stars if it were possible. Avoid IKEA Spain, not just based on my experience but most of the reviews are a very bad customer experience from the vast majority and with one of the lowest feedback scores I’ve ever seen of 1.3 stars!! 90% is on 1 star for IKEA Spain!!!!! Wish I had seen this before ordering.

I can't use this sofa for a week now because the covers were never sent!

Sofa ordered from IKEA Spain. The sofa only, did turn up on the delivery date.
They split the order, the sofa covers would be sent within 24 hours, so they should have arrived first. That never happened.
You can't use this type of sofa without the covers, it has very thin padding material which you can damage without even trying! And this sofa has some sharp edges which I hope the cover will give protection against! If it ever arrives.

IKEA didn't inform me they changed the delivery date of the sofa covers to A MONTH LATER!!
Why do they take much of your personal information when ordering and then hand that over to a US company outside EU consumer data law, are they selling it! They’re not using for customer service that’s for sure.
I only found out they changed the delivery date when I went on the website and manually checked the order status. No email, no SMS and no call to let me know I’m not getting my sofa covers a month later!
I have dated screenshots of my order.

When speaking to customer services I was told the covers were now coming from abroad!
Almost one week later the covers still haven't been sent!

Customer services offered to send another sofa cover set, but I've not had anything for a guest visiting to sit on for a week now.

I called customer services again, they tell me the covers will be delivered tomorrow, but the IKEA website order status still shows covers have not been sent!

I paid just under 50 euros for delivery for something I can't use for one week already!

If you try to find a way to complain to IKEA Spain after ordering online using their website they don’t have one!!
No email, no web-form, and I couldn’t do this with customer services.

I was told I would have to in person visit an IKEA shop. Why should I have to drive over an hour to an IKEA shop to make a complaint about an online order!!
I was then told I can make a complaint at my town hall.
Once I was told this I new for sure IKEA Spain is a joke of a company, not a serious retailer by any measure.
My advice to anyone when a company takes your money with no knowledge of stock or intent to deliver the order in full on time so as they don’t lose the order is to call your bank and explain what the company did and ask for the funds to be held by the your bank until the order is fulfilled.
My question to IKEA is, did you take my order knowing you couldn’t complete it and still took the order and my payment so you wouldn’t lose the order to a more reputable company?
If I ever find this out to be the case I will go after IKEA with the full weight of the law. And based on the feedback of many other customers of IKEA it strongly suggests this is happening on a large scale.

Very disappointed with IKEA ES..

Very disappointed with IKEA ES... I ordered 3 items from them. A rug, a floor lamp and non slip membrane for under carpet. Light doesn't have a shade (white part). Rug is perfect but no membrane has been delivered and we wasted 2 days waiting for our 2nd delivery which didn't materialise. They split our order in to 2 deliveries. AND TRY PHONING THEM TO COMPLAIN????? No chance. I want a refund for membrane and a shade for my lamp.....

Terrible

We paid Ikea €13,000 euros for a kitchen and installation , they confirmed in writing that we could have the wall panels cut on site to the height we wanted , they then glued them at the wrong height to our new walls making a huge mess and ruining the wall and then told us they could not fit to the height we wanted , they couldn’t install doors on the washer or dryer as the machine measurements they had given us were wrong and they smeared dirty glue all over our new worktops which will not come off ! I sent e mails complaining and they said they would put this right , that was 3 months ago and they just ignore e mails . I am shocked by the total incompetence and disregard , Ikea uk would never do this ! if I had known how bad they were I would never ever have used Ikea Spain , awful poor quality installation, ruined kitchen and no response from ikea to put this right , they’ve just taken out money

Why do you have to demand a refund?

Compré una silla de mimbre que se rompió a las 3 semanas de uso ocasional.
Regresé a la tienda ayer y me dijeron que recibiría un reembolso de la tarjeta de regalo. Dije que quería un reembolso a mi cuenta bancaria porque los productos estaban defectuosos. Me dijeron nuevamente que sería como una tarjeta de regalo.
Luego tuve que decirle mis derechos legales, lo que luego implicó que ella tuviera que ir a buscar un supervisor para obtener autoridad y luego tuvo que completar un formulario...
Básicamente, Ikea le negará un reembolso debido a su estúpida cantidad de papeleo excesivo...
Ahora han perdido un cliente en la tienda JYSK que está enfrente de Ikea.

Bought a wicker chair that broke within 3 weeks of occasional use.
Returned to store yesterday and was told I would get a gift card refund. Stated I wanted a refund back to my bank account as the goods were faulty. Got told again it would be as a gift card.
Then had to tell her my legal rights which then involved her having to go to find a supervisor to get authority and then she had to fill in a form....
So basically, Ikea will refuse you a refund due to their stupid amount of excessive paperwork.....
They have now lost a customer to JYSK store which is opposite Ikea..

It’s a shame we have to give IKEA at least one star. IKEA use Seur as its delivery agent, they are terrible, delivery is 11 days late so far. IKEA say you can’t cancel an order as it’s in transit.. what a joke. Don’t know if I will ever get my order or refund

Horrible

Horrible. Don’t order furniture for delivery at IKEA Spain. We’re waiting now for 1,5 month. Every day I’m calling to check if they are really going to deliver and on the delivery day they will tell me they’ve made a mistake and have to make a new delivery date, which will be a minimum of 1,5 week later. I wish I could speak to a supervisor for a quick solution and also for a official complaint, but nobody is connecting me through. Now im talking to another agent every day, and every day there is another problem. We’ve have ordered furniture from IKEA in lots of country’s, never had any problem, but this time in spain, it’s giving me a headache.

Don’t buy online

Don’t buy online - they always have delivery issues and end up postponing the delivery … in this last case for an extra week and without notification! We did track and trace when the delivery did not take place! Only to read that our order had been delayed by a week. Great when we have guests arriving tomorrow… and no beds thanks to Ikeas s….y delivery service. This will affect our choice to buy from IKEA again … in any country!!!

My order has not arrived yet after 2 weeks

I ordered 2 frying pans. I paid £3 for home delivery. Ikea writes to say the order is out for delivery but nothing arrives. They have recorded an "incidence". A week later out for delivery again, but nothing arrives. Tracking says that nobody was home. We were here waiting all day. Why not call? It was just an excuse obviously. A day later out for delivery once more, but nothing arrives. No email, no call, no explanation. Telephoned Ikea twice, who say it is my responsibility to telephone the courier, Seur, as I am the customer. Surely, I have contracted with Ikea to buy the goods, they have taken the money, so they should talk to Seur. 3 weeks later I have received nothing. I will never order from them again.

50euros delivery - DO NOT ORDER AT IKEA

50 euros to receive your order at home... I do not know any company that still asks for delivery costs.

And even worse, a message arrives from IKEA that my order arrives on Saturday 13th of May from 09:00-19:00 (what a ridiculous long timeslot) BUT my order never arrived that day.

So I started calling customer service. The agent did not show any empathy at all and neither offered any solutions. Basically, my order did not show up, and I had to wait until Monday for it to arrive.

Monday I call again, and another agent explains to me that the courier calls before delivery so I can make sure I am home, no one ever called before delivery. By coincidence, I was home.

I strongly recommend NEVER ordering anything online at IKEA! The service is horrible.

Ikea in Spain is terrible

Ikea in Spain is terrible. I ordered from Murcia. I ordered for the first (and last) time a kitchen. NEVER DO THIS!!! Do not do this unless you understand Spanish perfectly first, which I do not. They do not listen to you when taking the order and switch things themselves. Second, they send people to take the measurements of your space for nothing. The Ikea products do not fit your space and leave GAPS. Ikea does nothing to fill these ugly gaps.

They are incompetent and I am not saying I would not buy simple things from them, just that you cannot trust them with any complicated orders, so make sure never to do anything complicated with Ikea.

Ingvar Kamprad would roll over in his grave.
Spain once again showed how completely incompetent and disorganized a country it is. We ordered a few items from IKEA, bed, sofa bed and a Parasol to be delivered today - the 3 of may between 3 and 9 PM. We are here in spain only for 4 days primarily to receive our new furniture from IKEA. I call them 15 minutes past 9, I press 5 for English only to get a a non english speaker, I manage to make my self understood and get a call minutes later and that person reveal that the order has been postponed to next monday!!!!! Really. No information, no mail, nothing. Should I have guessed it? I am appalled and shocked and I repeat - Ingvar Kamprad would be devasted and probably pulled out of Spain.

Do not buy the new Esseboda sofas the quality of the seat cushions is awful, I complained they replaced but exactly the same issue sofas are 1 month old and look 5 years old horrid.... I have had really bad customer service. I dont want the sofas in my house.

Don't believe their customers, but their shady transport guys

I have ordered online with IKEA Spain several times and they always managed to mess things up and utilize transport services that were unmotivated (at best) or not doing their job at all.

My last experience was that I was waiting a whole day (delivery was scheduled between 10:00 and 18:00). During that whole day I received one call by a number that I did not know and that just let it ring once. I tried to call back instantly thinking it might be the IKEA delivery, but nobody picked up the phone.

In the evening I received an e-mail from IKEA that the delivery had not been possible due to me not being present when the transport service said they had been at my house. That's a complete lie, because I was at home all day, but no delivery truck came to my house all day (I know for sure as my house is in a quiet and isolated area and I was working on the house outside, so I would have noticed for sure).

I communicated all that to IKEA, but they nevertheless sticked with their story (or that of the delivery guys who had been too lazy to get out to my house) and told me that the order would be cancelled, the transport fee lost (to me, the lazy guys seem to be paid for not doing their work) and the rest refunded (which took them 2 weeks).

Still can't believe that IKEA rather believes some shady transport service guys but their own good clients (I was an IKEA family member for years...).

Can only recommend NOT to order from IKEA Spain online. I will not buy from them through any channel as I find their behaviour absolutely unacceptable towards their customers.

This company are employing workers who…

This company are employing workers who are obviously told to lie to customers when they ask about delivery of items. 'HelloVan' had a couple of crooks disputing my postcode. The assistant said delivery will be 40 to 50 euros and but HV wanted 71 Euros using the wrong postcode. I canceled the order immediately with no concern of apology from the Delboys running the 'delivery company.'
Also the assistant who dealt with my purchase said 'you buy from us and sort out your delivery with HelloVan outside the shop.' She didn't explain I had to download their app and engage in 20 minutes of wrangling over my post code. A disgrace both IKEA and HV - the former I used to believe was an OK company. It's now fallen far down the pit in my view. I will never shop there again unless it for a candle or a soup ladle. Anything else is a risky business and not recommended.
