Terrible app to use on web.
I have used many different computers to try to get HomeByMe on the web to not be as laggy and nothing works. I use HomeByMe because of their selection of items,but I cant even put half of these items down without waiting 20 minutes for it to stop lagging. I emailed them about the lag, 4 TIMES, no response. I emailed them about any scholarship options because I am doing a state FCCLA project and their prices are outrageous-no seriously, $300 FOR THE CHEAPEST PLAN?! But anyways, heard no response. Over 10 emails have been sent- and get this - the only one they answered is when I told them my project got fully deleted (Which was a lie just to get them to email me back.) So then I emailed them back about my actual problem, no response in over a month. Horrible web app, terrible customer service, and outrageous pricing. Good for starting out (If even that), not good for doing bigger projects on at all. Don't waste your time using a website that doesn't care about the users and only cares about the money - although that's every website these days - find somewhere else!

It used to be a good platform. Now they've reduced the number of projects and even the number of objects available for free use.
The monthly/annual fees are ridiculously high, and I doubt they offer better building designs.
It's time to forget about it and move on to the next best platform.

Very poor experience with purchasing images. Very glitchy & customer service blame how I've taken the image but what can I do if the preview shows me what I actually want but then apparently I've taken it too close to a wall. Generally were very rude/patronising and put me off buying any more credits as they clearly have no intention of fixing the misleading previews/viewfinder

I created an account to try out the app and after spending more than 30 minutes setting up the walls of an apartment, it doesn’t let you save your work unless you pay for a monthly subscription—so you lose everything you’ve done. They clearly don’t tell you that you have to pay until you’ve already spent a good amount of time setting up the house, so that you don’t want to lose your progress, instead of warning you from the start. I think this is a tactic that should be penalized, and that’s why I’m leaving a negative review.

Very beautiful as you can design your project easily and there is no complexity and many options. All thanks to those in charge of this application.

There are a lot of great qualities about this program. You can design multiple floors, add all kinds of cool features like lights, mailbox, windows etc. you can walk around in it in 3d which is so neat. But once you start adding more layers, a second floor, furniture, colors on the walls it starts getting super buggy and super slow. Let’s be honest, that’s the fun stuff, designing it all and making it come to life. I really want to finish my project because I’m loving how it’s coming along together but the bugs are making it extremely difficult.

Don't buy the services of a architect. They made a 15 minute displacement on my existing project. It really sucks.

It used to be very good, now it is extremely hard to customize and everything is standard. I used it in 2019 and helped me model my home. Used it two years ago for another property, basically did nothing meaningful. Decided to give it another try now for another property, not worth the efforts - way too much standard items, you cant customize enough. For example, sofas are only basic with fixed sizes, there is no way to edit the sizes. Kitches used to be very helpful tool where you cna select area and the tool can suggest optimal layouts, nothing like this now.

I have been using homebyme for more than a year. It used to run smoothly but recently the website and app keep crashing on all devices and all browsers. Their support is generic and not helping. I have put a lot of time into my projects so save yourself the time and effort.

Overall very good website, was able to do a lot, unfortunately after couple of days spending it stopped saving to my project :( very disappointed taking into account how much time I spent on organizing things there.

Easy to understant.
Has everything an end user need.
Free of charge. No hidden fees.

HomeByMe is a tool that I use on a daily basis in my work as an interior decorator, the most important thing for me in my work is to be able to offer my customers attractive prices while being able to produce quickly with professional results, HomeByMe is for the moment the only solution that allows me to obtain professional quality renderings with advanced functionalities, a very large catalog of brands and then the possibility of making bespoke designs, it's much more fluid and simple than SketchUp, a time saver as a pro and above all inexpensive! That's why I think it's only right to take the time to write this review with pleasure!

It is extremely confusing and it is practically impossible to make walls. There are far better home building sites than this. Overall, it is one of the worst websites I have ever used.

Doesn't work in the US. Something with the IP addresses. wish they fix it so I can use this program again.

Absolutely fantastic planning and design tool which is free to use!

I started off by designing a simple room and was so taken aback by how easy it was I recreated the rest of the floor and when I had spare time added the 2nd and 3rd floors plus attic, roof, front driveway and back garden. I found almost everything I needed to furnish the rooms exactly as they are in real life. I have also now designed my new flat and currently furnishing it in real life to replicate what was designed.

You get three projects for free and a few free HD renders too (low res renders are completely free!). You can buy extra HD renders if you need them and 360 images (you NEED these!). They are pretty cheap to buy seperately and well worth the price as the renders are so realistic people often think they are looking at the real room with realistic lighting, reflections and shadows etc etc

You can browse your project in 2D, 3D and Walkthrough mode. very handy as you can quickly switch between them for placement end viewing etc

Tech support is super responsive and quick to deal with issues as i had on one occasion with a project thumbnail not upating

Positives:
- Easy and quick to use
- Great item selection overall
- Free
- Amazing rendering
- Web based
- Fast tech support

Negatives
- Can be CPU intensive but will drop the graphics down if it detects it's getting too slow
- Generic Item selection is oddly limited in a few areas for some very common pieces of furniture. Wardrobes are one area for example
- No item grouping...if you wanted to permanently 'lock' a set of objects together for moving around

This App is amazing. I am surprised that the free version offers so much and allows you to design in 2D, 3D and walk through. The more you use it, the easier it gets so it's very intuitive. Love it!!!!!

This site is the best that I've found for 3D renderings for home design. There are some other sites/programs out there, but nowhere as intuitive or fast. You can't beat the price (free) and the extra features are priced well too.

I was able to realize our project and the user interface is super simple. They have tons of video tutorials on how to create and use the software. There are a lot of pre-made items. If you can't find it, you can build it with their construction products. I've had to improvise a little with some items and it's not perfect, but it gives me a very good sense of what our project would look like.

Their tech support is responsive. Whenever I had an issue, someone would get back to me within 24 hours (excluding weekends).

There are a few items that could use improvements. Their construction items are great for making all sorts of item, but you can not apply multiple surfaces to it (i.e. tile or some of the colors). Using multiple floors can be a little buggy/tricky, but once you understand the limitations, it works fine. It would also be nice to group/ungroup items together.

The animation that was added recently is a great touch. If really gives you the feel of walking through the project. The realistic pictures are AMAZING! You just have to get the lighting right, but that's the same with all programs. They even have a mobile app that works pretty well. I haven't tried the VR version, but I'm really curious how well it works.

Overall, I would recommend this software for anyone who wants to get a 3D view of their projects.
