I wish I could leave negative stars

I wish I could leave negative stars. Their representative misled me about the deadline for paying off the loan to avoid interest. The actual payoff date was concealed in the fine print, even though the paperwork showed the due date as the representative had informed me. I then spent months going around in circles with them, filing complaints, before being told that it didn't matter what the representative had said. Find another way to finance your project. Do not use GoodLeap! This company is ethical and immorally reprehensible.

Customer Service is not there

Getting onboarded was fairly easy. However, managing my account is another story. First, be aware that the customer service team is out of the Philippines therefore, there will be language issues as well as inability to really help with anything other than basic services.
My issue is based on a refund request. I was paying off my account, and due to a glitch in their app, ended up making the payment twice. I called Customer Service to request a refund, and was informed that it would take 14-30 days. What???!! My payoff was made through bank transfer which means they have my cash almost immediately. A refund should only take maybe 2-3 business days to authorize, transfer, and then have funds settle.
I requested that they send me at least a confirmation number or email that the refund is in process, both were denied. So after explaining that I'm not interested in waiting 14-30 days to see if I get a refund, I was told there is nothing they can do. Since they are an outsourced support team, there is no other option. I have reached out to their leadership team on LinkedIn to get help. But overall, I would not do business with them again if Customer Support is this dismissive, and refunds take a month!!

HOME IMPROVEMENT

From the beginning of applying for a loan until the first payment, Goodleap made the process very simple. Goodleap also consistently communicated with me about other services they offered. I would recommend Goodleap to as many people as possible. Thank you Goodleap.

Please read completely to understand…This is loan shark/Robbery company

Please read completely to understand the issue. This company has been likened to loan sharks or robbers, and in my opinion, they are no better than such entities. I took out a loan for water solutions from Eco Water, which were installed by Cool-Ray. They advertised a promotion stating there was no need to pay within a year. If any balance remained after that period, they would charge interest on that amount. Cool-Ray sent an older gentleman who is 73 years old; I couldn't reject someone of my father's age, so I took a $6000 loan. I paid $4400 within the year and attempted to pay the remaining $1600 after 5 PM on the last day. However, their system is designed to accept payments only before 5 PM. I scheduled the payment for the next day, but they charged me $764 for accrued interest. During a call with customer care, the representative was very rude, not allowing me to speak, and stated the charge was valid. The company is charging $764 for a mere four-hour delay, and this is due to no fault of my own. They do not accept payments after 5 PM; I wonder whether this applies to online or in-store transactions. Why do they maintain apps if it takes two days to process a payment? Are we living in the Stone Age? It seems they have intentionally designed the system to prevent accepting payments in time so that they can apply such interest. They are behaving like a loan shark or robbery company. Customer support did not even attempt to raise a complaint or do anything about it. They are well aware that people make mistakes or are late, and then they capitalize on those errors.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GOODLEAP FOR…

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GOODLEAP FOR SOLAR! They give you a low interest rate for the first 18 months and then if you haven't reached the target amount of the loan by the end of the 18 months your payment goes up. What they don't tell you about the first 18 months is that your WHOLE payment only goes towards interest and your payment isn't even for the total amount of interest that accrues for the month! Example: $296 monthly payment, but $356 of accrued interest for said month. Interest accrues daily! 30/360 intrest! After 18 months, $420 payment $356 goes to interest. 12 months have gone by since payment went to $420 each month and $400 has come off principle!

I applied and got a truth in lending for a 1 year interest free load for a roof. After all said and done, they switched it and removed the 1 year interest free. They are cons and cant be trusted.
DO NOT USE THEM. Vinnie is a better choice.

These guys are horrible

These guys are horrible! Under NO circumstance use them. They compound interest daily; after 7 payments, my principal has gone down only by $80!!!!! I attempted to speak to them to find a remedy, I also tried to utilize a debt management solution and they have in some manner excluded participation. They will not do anything to assist you, and they will do everything to rape you!

Run from GoodLeap, avoid this company at all cost

If I could, my rating would be "0". GoodLeap does not deserve to even be on the rating scale as they are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I had a local company perform a crawl space encapsulation, which went great, and I used GoodLeap for the financing...HUGE mistake. Don't ever, ever, ever use GoodLeap. They offered the promotional period for my 12-month interest free with first payment due the following month. I paid the loan IN FULL, but GoodLeap is not accepting it as paid in full as they said I did not pay within promotional period, instead of by the first payment date. ALL of their statements stated first payment date, NOT one time did it say "to avoid interest pay by promotional end date". GoodLeap is an untrustworthy company and does not care about the end consumer at all. Run if GoodLeap is the lending source. You will regret it otherwise.

Goodleap is Fraudulent and Deceptive

This company doesn’t even deserve one star. Predatory is an understatement. This company out a lien on my house and my property and I don’t even have a loan with them nor have I ever done any business with any vendor to have a lien. I contacted them numerous time and they informed me that my property once belonged to a person who once had an account with Goodleap. I was like, what do I have to do with that??! You can’t put a lien on a new opener and their personal
Property. We researched the person who had that loan and found out he has since passed away. We also informed them that when we purchased the home, we had title pulled and there was no liens. Something is very shady and deceptive about this company. I’m not sure how they’re getting away with it.
