I decided to try glasses lab for both my eye test and new glasses having never loved the well known opticians on the high street.

The optician did a really thorough eye exam and due to some underlying health issues I had mentioned, performed additional tests that gave me comfort as I suffer with health anxiety.

The shop team spent lots of time with me, helping select frames and ensuring the glasses were properly fitted - I have very wonky eyebrows and my glasses always require lots of adjustments so not to look crooked. By doing this first it ensured my pupil measurement was accurate. This is the first optician to have ever done it that way around and probably why I never feel my prescription is quite right previously. This also meant collecting them was quick and easy as they fitted first go.

Staff are so helpful, knowledgable and friendly. They stock great frames and I think competitive on price.

I will continue to use them.

Took my daughter to get eyesight test. Daughter did not like the frames Glasseslab held in stock so requested lens prescription which we could take to other opticians. Needed to chase up for lens prescription a few days later as it was not emailed out. Took daughter to another shop where she found some frames she liked. However, the emailed prescription from Glasseslab did not have NHS voucher code. While at other shop I called Glasseslab to request the voucher and authorisation code. Optician not in Glasseslab store so staff member could not assist. Since we spent enough time choosing a frame while at other shop we just proceeded with glasses purchase without the NHS voucher so as not to have to make another 30mile round-trip on another day. So frustrating that we had to chase for prescription and also not having the NHS voucher code which was the whole point of having a prescription we could take to other opticians. Would have waited for the NHS voucher code and ordered the frame online with the other opticians but you cannot order glasses online for under-16's so a physical shop visit is required.

28-Jan-25: NHS voucher and authorisation code was emailed through but unfortunately the voucher code was not accepted as incorrect in email.

Love my new varifocals, such friendly, helpful and patient staff.

Tried these after my usual opticians stopped doing NHS. Only slightly less scared of opticians than I am of dentists but these were great. Quick appointment, very thorough eye test, and they fitted my new lenses into my old frames. I can now see clearly again!

I have been using Glasseslab for my optical needs for the last few years and went to their Greenwich store recently and had a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. They took the time to understand my needs and helped me find the perfect pair of glasses.

James was fantastic and answered all my queries - and quite frankly - was a pleasure to speak to. San and Sandra in the Greenwich branch made everything so very easy for me. Two great girls! Choice fabulous. Highly recommended.

Popped into GlassesLab Bromley while passing to ask if they could adjust a pair of frames that I had recently purchased online elsewhere. I was warmly greeted by Rebecca and Henry saying happy to do so. Rebecca informed me as the frames had thick acetate arms they were not designed to be bent downwards over the ears but that she could slightly bend the bridge and also curve the arm tips inward for a more snug fit which I was after. I also had another acetate frame which Rebecca kindly adjusted too. Both frames fitted so much better afterwards and when I offered to pay was told no charge which I was surprised at. Both Rebecca and Henry were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. GlassesLab stock a fantastic range of frames and I would not hesitate to seek their help and guidance in choosing my next pair!
