I've been with Chip for about 2 years,. its a decent app and product offering. I've been using the Stocks ISA but the in-built time delay between selling Funds stocks is 1-2 days, which in a volatile market is far too long! I decided to move to another platform. This is where the problems started. It has been 2 weeks + now and no progress since i initiated transfers. Chip creates problems at every turn. The customer service Chatbot agent is very poor and makes it extremely difficult to even message a human. Customer service is solely through the app and you cant speak to a person on the phone. Then when i did get to write to a human he got all of his info wrong and it was only after i showed him info from Chip website that he stated i could do a transfer. Im still caught in this painful transfer process !

In this day and age of poor communication-not wanting to pick up the phone and speak to customers, use of Bots etc, I have found Chip uk to be the opposite-they answered the phone and came back with a solution to my query in no time at all - a good service and very refreshing.

I had a query regarding money that I had thought had been transferred to my Prize Savings Account. I went on an on-line chat with Keith, who was very supportive and promptly sorted out my situation. Even though I didn’t actually verbally speak to him ( which I prefer) .. The on line chat was very reassuring. It cemented my confidence in banking with Chip.

Chip don’t deserve a one star to be honest.
I’m an executor to my partners will and I’ve been trying without success for Chip to refund £50.13p,
I’ve had over 50 emails back and forth they don’t accept that I’m the executor and have been asking me for proof, I’ve sent them The Will, my passport, drivers licence, utility bill, letters from the bank, one minute they say yes you have passed the checks only to come back with something else.
Out of all the companies I’ve been dealing with Chip is by far the most bureaucratic of them all and the worst.
I would avoid this company at all costs with your finances would be my advice,
Minus five stars would be best suited for Chip

Prompt and quick resolution from the Chip customer service team. For me the high street banks are so poor with communication, for instance one bank keeps contacting me apologising for the late response to my complaint, what complaint? Then another bank on the high street, sent me a card and pin separately. After a month of not being able to open my account, I sent the card back, then they sent me a statement, I have not put money into this account? Going back to Chip, the account covers customer services by text within the app, password and pin numbers as expected and are unique to you. As I have identified myself as a vulnerable customer, the customer service team at Chip are outstanding.

I'd no sooner sent a email to chip and they were straight on to my lawyer. A great response to a long running problem that in my opinion shouldn't have been there in the first place!
Now I'm hoping that between them they will find out why? and get my funds into my chip account ASAP.
