Changed my review to negative. No flights and no money

I had given them 5 stars, as everything seemed to be going so smoothly, but paid flights got canceled by the airline due to lack of payment by the agent. I now find myself without my flights and without my money (which they told me 48 hours ago is on its way) to book different flights (not with Gate1.co.uk, that's for sure :( :( :(

Bad Experience with Gate1.co.uk

Booked a flight the day before travel and received confirmation email but at midnight received an email saying the flight was no longer available. So I had to book something else at a higher cost with another OTA. Contacted Gate1 via their online form but haven't heard since.
So beware although you get a confirmation and invoice email thinking your flight is booked. Don't take this as So!

One star is way too many

One star is way too many. I got a return ticket and wanted to change outbound one. Gate1 was nowhere to be found and there was no way of changing the flight. So I bought a new one on that day and did I no show on the old one. Surprise suprise happened when I tried to fly back. Was told at the airport that the agent froze the ticket bc I didnt show up on the outbound. Whats most ridiculous about it that they never notified me about it!!!! And as per my airline app nothing looked like there was anything wrong with my flight. Airline couldnt do anything about it and as a result I had to buy a new flight :)

Incorrect cabin shown prior to purchase

The listed cabin was incorrect so I did not get what I thought I was paying for. Now I have more things to pay for and more stress on my flights.

When purchasing the ticket it said cabin: economy classic. Which includes a checked bag. Now that I purchased the ticket it says economy and has a notification that I have no checked bags included in my flights. It was something that I particularly looked into to be certain that my luggage was covered in the ticket.

I followed it up with their customer service who just said the ticket was for no luggage on the flight. So looks like they just sold me a "no luggage" flight after listing a "with luggage" flight. Now I'm off to go spend more money on luggage for my flights.

Really disappointed I ever booked

Really disappointed I ever came across this website. I booked tickets for flights this weekend Nov 4th. Sadly for personal reasons I have had to cancel 5 days before the flight. I also purchased extra refundable booking services for £119 read the small print they do not refund easily. They are also impossible to talk to and do not care once they have taken your money. Would highly recommend you book direct with the airline at all times. This website and it’s add on extras are not trustworthy and a big rip off. Sad to have to write such negative comments but I am utterly devastated with the fact they pass you onto a refund company who do not carry out what they say without a million papers and that can be impossible to provide especially when a death has occurred outside the direct family and therefore you cannot provide concrete proof how could you be expected to ask! Look elsewhere please. I’ve had to learn the hard way and not only have I lost a dear friend but also £1138 in flights and they couldn’t care less!
