My cat has really been communicating with his buttons. After I watched the FluentPet Summit 2023, I decided to order another HexTile and some more buttons; I'd like to teach my cat some words that will help him tell us 'narrative' things rather than just requests. I'm excited about this part of his education!

I ordered more buttons bc my dog needed more words and discovered the louder buttons. They are really great and I can still use the quieter buttons for words that he usually only uses after he has called me over! His vocabulary is growing and he really has taken to communicating.

Reese is learning! I started with two buttons with his favorite trigger words and he is accurately hitting the buttons to let me know what he wants. The only thing I'm bummed about is the Button Boot Camp. It is a little disappointing because it is only available M-F with 3:00 p.m. PST being the latest time slot and I work all week so cannot make the times.
UPDATE: FluentPet contacted me and they are working to get me a later date. Thank you, FluentPet, for going above and beyond. :)

Great and innovative product in the Connect buttons. What I really like is the wonderful communication and a company that stands behind their product. Thank you for your recent help with the issue I was having. My learner has progressed to 16 buttons and I keep adding 4 at a time. I have 24 on hand and will be adding more!

I bought the classic set, not realizing that there was a better version, the connect set. So I ordered the connect set but am having trouble connecting to my home Wi-Fi. I tried the chat, but that’s obviously not set up well yet, because it wanted to respond to me via email. Then it took a few days to get a basic response of a link to the troubleshooting page, which I’ve already visited without success. Now I’ve gotten an email (after one week) saying that they need more info. I’ve given that to them, but the communication is so slow! In my opinion, a same day response is not too much to ask. Love the product, hate the support and communication, which, ironically, is what their product is all about!
After realizing myself that I had a router extender, which has its own password, was my problem with my set up, I was finally able to complete the set up of the new connect set. I wish that tech support had guided me a little better to get to that conclusion. Instead, I was told that I shouldn’t send multiple emails and they kept sending me the troubleshooting page that is on the website, like I hadn’t tried troubleshooting it already! I wouldn’t have sent another email if the initial communication was replied to in a timely manner. If the troubleshooting page leads you to the chat feature and the chat tells you that it will reply to you by email, then they don’t for a day, I figured that I needed to send another email!
I love the fun that I’m having with my dog, learning to communicate with me in a whole new way. I also love the optional online classes, which help guide you through the process. Ashley is fantastic!! I successfully taught my dog to press words that mean what they should because of her.
But I hope that the communication between tech support and the customer improves in the future. It shouldn’t take over a week to resolve a problem that was finally figured out by me.

So far, so good! The buttons are a good size & the sound board is compact, which works well in our small home. The microphone/recording is clear.The 30-minute Bootcamp was great - lots of good tips and there was a very nice community feeling. I also enjoy the emails with tips/tricks and also the online self-learning lessons. My learner is very engaged, caught on quickly and we are communicating more & more each day!!

Just thought I would leave another review about the dangerous product I received from fluent pet.
Only after multiple attempts to reach the company and several hours wasted doing such did I figure out that leaving review would be the only way to get them to pay attention. And it did! They have decided to accept my refund and return but it has been over 20 days and they have not provided a return shipping address or label. So I went ahead and reached out to them and sent my product back via certified return mail.
I also did some great research about the founder. He has a fantastic degree in behavioral neuroscience however used seed money to start this company with the idea of selling it for a gross profit immediately. There is no long-term support for the owners and no one cares about your pets.
The founder intentionally remains politely unaware of the situation so I made sure to tag his Google scholar articles citing this review to the same articles where he talks about how incredible his product is that he sells.

The FluentPet Connect buttons, along with the FluentPet Academy Course, have been an amazing addition (well, all except when you’re ready to rest and your pet wants to keep talking to you 😂 JK). It’s amazing how much being able to communicate in the same language can increase your bond with your pet and reduce your frustration. It does take time and effort to help your pet learn this new tool, but once they do, they get so excited they can talk to you in a way you easily understand versus barking incessantly. I highly recommend.

There is literally no proper way to review something so special. I am grateful for the technology to help me communicate with my pet on a deeper level. That being said, the course was PHENOMENAL and I cannot wait to take another one! The course helped to keep me accountable and teach me bit by bit in a manageable way. Ashley is spectacular! I don't think I would have made as much progress without it. I also understand dogs and buttons on a more scientific level. I wish people knew just how accessible these tools are!

I had first bought the Classic Button Kit for my two cats with the full intention of communicating with them through button teaching. But I quickly got overwhelmed with the amount of information out there that I didn’t know if the teachers that I saw online were doing it correctly or not. But then I found out that the FluentPet was offering classes online and I couldn’t wait to get enrolled! And I’m so glad that I did!
If you haven’t taken this online course, I would encourage you to take it if you are a newbie or starter to teaching your learners on how to communicate with you. There are also some great information for ones that have already started teaching prior to taking this class but haven’t been successful in getting themselves and their fur babies to the next step.
My button professor, Ashley, was a great teacher in going through the entire course with us. She was always available to answer questions before, during and after classes. And she was always available to provide feedback and one-on-one instruction to help ensure that my learner is making the step in right direction to communicate with me.
Overall, I’m glad that I had some initial foundation of my own in communicating with my cats. But I was glad to know that by going through the course, I was already going in the right direction in communicating with my learner. And that button teaching wasn’t the big ogre that I thought it was. And after the course, if I ever have any more questions, Ashley will always be there to answer any questions I may have and it is always great to know that I have a way to still being able to keep in touch and talk with my fellow class mates and seeing how they and their learners are doing in the present and the future.

I felt like customer support was not helpful. In the end they're giving me my refund for purchasing the wrong buttons to go with the connect kit which is more than deserved but when I went to purchase the correct ones it said 4-10 days for arrival and I received an email from a customer service rep saying they wouldn't know when it would arrive but might be next month (4+ weeks away) without any date for estimate. This was discouraging and I canceled the order altogether. In the meantime, I had returned the current buttons I had just bought from Amazon two weeks before placing this order and learning about Fluent Pet + waiting for the new buttons to arrive and I had to re-order the Amazon ones. Thankfully Amazon got them to me in two days time and my pup's learning wasn't disrupted much.

The buttons are a bit on the pricier side but the investment is totally worth it if you're trying to teach your pet(s) how to communicate. The buttons are super easy to press on, which helps a lot with the learning process. The recordings are crystal clear too! The instructions on how to use them are very simple. They also provide useful guides on teaching your pet how to communicate with the buttons. Overall, they offer the best tool to effectively teach your pets to communicate with you; all you need is a little bit of patience!

This button kit is easy to use and quite aesthetically pleasing. The accompanying literature is clear and helpful. Unfortunately, one of my buttons plays back with a distorted sound and one will not record - but the other four are great and I'm excited to start using them!

I just picked mine up from the post office in Canada and wish I'd known duty/customs would cost another $150.. I wouldn't have bought it, that's not even close to reasonable shipping cost for a 2lb parcel. It was already tough to swallow the price from USD to CAD when ordering, but we're used to that here. But another $150 unexpectedly to pick it up is insane, especially when I qualified for free shipping, it's a very unpleasant unexpected surprise. I would not recommend another Canadian ordering unless they have a way around this.
