The Fieplace and Chimney Authority did an inspection of my chimney and fireplace and were very thorough and knowlegeable.

Guy fid a great job cleaning my fireplace and making it operational for me. I also appreciated his explanations of the workings of it.

The technicians arrived on time, were courteous and respectful of my home and promptly donned shoe covers to protect the carpeting as it had recently snowed quite heavily and bringing in slush on boots was unavoidable. They placed a cloth tarp on the floor, situated their tools, explained what they were going to do to clean the fireplace, etc. and got to work. When they were done inside, they cleaned up the area, packed up their cleaning equipment and returned it all to their truck before getting ladder(s) from their truck and inspecting the chimney outside. When they were done, they explained the written recommendations for repairs that had been written down and was included with the receipt, answered my questions concerning the needed repairs and their cost (repairs to be done in the spring) and departed. Both technicians were friendly and professional and did an outstanding job cleaning the fireplace. Turns out the cleaning had been overdue but and I’m really glad that we can enjoy a nice fire in a safer environment. Thank you.

Fireplace chimney authority is a must if you are looking to do any type of work or replacement of your fireplace. Or if you are looking to put one in. The company is professionals from the moment you walk in all the way to the installers. I literally just had a system put in and their communication from the get go was on point. They walk you through every step and have multiple options and styles to choose from. I had looked at different companies but these guys are the best hands down.

I'd give a five star but we may need a repeat visit - the fireplace has low "low" and high settings that do not seem to work
Low flame only for now, repair not urgent but is appropriate. I should have suggested we check it when they were here.

On time, polite, fixed it first time.

Chris did a great job cleaning our Mendota fireplace insert and ensuring that it ran properly. He found a hole in the exhaust duct which was allowing cold air to come in and which extinguished the unit on start-up. Chris perfomed the work very professionally and left his work area clean.

The guys that came and did the install were fabulous. They even painted my panels in the truck because I’m allergic to the smells of paint. My only problem was since we needed to order a piece for the fireplace and I was told it would take 18 business days, I called after a month and unfortunately the part had been discontinued and the manufacturer did not advise the store. After that, they got things moving as soon as possible and I was very appreciative.

On time great customer service. Left no mess cleaned the chimney to almost like new. Will be using them for years to come

The gentlemen that came to provide service were timely, informative and very professional.

Ignition failed after only 4 years. Did not have parts available - and would not order until I had paid for replacement parts.

The upside was the techs (Rocky and Alex) were very thorough and knowledgeable. They were very conscientious about making sure the job was safe and clean. Rocky explained the process and executed the plan perfectly. Job well done!
The slight downside was booking the work date with the Elmhurst location. The guy I spoke with was gruff and not customer focused.
