Scam or incompetent. Support is not 24/7 like they claim.
After purchasing a phone number, I get an error message stating “contact support to get verified before you can send messages or make calls.”
I email support and they don’t respond. In app support is broken.
UPDATE:
As you can see, they have replied to this review that the service has been enabled, but it's still not working, and they stopped responding to me again.
Incoming calls are still not working and I'm still waiting for their help via support which they claim is 24/7.
Also. When you go to purchase a phone number, there is a banner that says "CALLS + SMS" However, there is a fine print you have to click on to see that says you cannot send SMS texts to other US phone numbers.
Whoever these Russians are that run this app clearly do not care about their customer service. They take your money and give you a not working phone number, then ask you to email them all this information and photos of ID 1 day later before they will turn it on. Their support emails are not apologetic or understanding. The positive reviews on this website also appear to be fake.
UPDATE 2:
The virtual phone number worked briefly, but then stopped. It currently doesn't work. No refund. They took no responsibility and blamed it on the perfectly working phone used to call the esim number, which doesn't make sense.

This sim card is a SCAM!!
This sim card is a SCAM!!! You will purchase one for a convenience store for $30(AUD) only to find out no data is included and you have only purchased a sim with no use to you when travelling the country. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF PLASTIC! This minimum you will spend just to get a pip of data is around $40 in total. There is 1000s of much better deals than this obvious tourist trap scam. This is a water if money, do not buy it.

Don’t trust them - it’s not transparent
Actually going through the process to get the eSIM installed is straightforward enough. But I don’t thinner they’re up front enough about the costs - you pay our at least two times: once for the rental package you choose, and then again for a mobile data pancake which isn’t mentioned at all until you’ve paid the rental and you’re committed. It’s not cheap data either. And then you find the concept of coins - I have no idea what they are for but if you want to get renew after a month or whatever your contract is, you have to have 7 coins. No reason given.
And even now two days on I’ve not been able to use it because now apparently (again first tile mention of this) I have to be “verified” - and asked for ID or passport. I sent my driving licence (which works as a uK govt issued ID everywhere) and they are insisting - per their rules which of course are nowhere to be seen) that only a passport for UK citizens will do. Mine has just expired. After about 12 hours, they just stopped replying. It looks good, it’s glossy, slick. But I won’t don’t do this again.

Secondly, the number is rented for a month. The cost of the renewal of the number for the next month is equal to the initial price of the number.
Thirdly, the information on the verification is posted in Privacy Policy in the official website https://esimplus.me/privacy. We'll update the information about the requirements for the documents and the impossibility to use a driver's license.

This is the best eSIM I've ever seen.
This is a great eSIM card that works globally, sends and receives short messages and accesses the internet, every iphone that supports eSIM should download this app, it's really convenient.
