We definitely made the right choice in choosing EMS Lifts to install our stairlift. They were exceptional from start to finish. After service is second to none whether during or after office hours. All their representatives have been very polite and explain everything in easy language. Our lift keeps us independent, such a bonus.

EMS Lifts I would like to give a big shout out to everyone at the team...Especially George what an absolute asset he is to the company. From the moment he visited the property to give his views what would work for us as a family, his advice along with his suggestions and solutions fitting a through floor lift for my son with DMD. He put my mind at rest knowing we could accomplish the perfect end result. It was great having him on board helping every step of the way. A 100% communication from George also went along way and it goes without saying my son Jay is over the moon too, finally getting his life back on track with the use of a through floor lift using his power wheelchair. Keep up the good work George you’re amazing as too are the team you work along side with. Since moving into the property May 3rd life for Jay has changed bringing smiles and independence.

I'm pleased that other people have had a positive experience with this company. I just wish I had. Unreliable, and some "engineers" incompetent. On another occasion a very simple fix that would have taken the visiting engineer five minutes to fix got ignored in preference to sending another engineer on another day and at an additional call out charge. And then the final straw. Left us with our stair lift in bits for two weeks unusable, irrespective that my wife and I are significantly disabled. And now they won't be back because they don't have the contract any more. They'll probably waffle out some corporate response, but I'm not interested and I'd advise anyone else to tread very carefully, especially if your stair lift is left in bits!

This was a difficult project - an old property with steep staircase which required a bespoke solution.
George was brilliant. He visited on a number of occasions and spent a lot of time surveying my property and working with the manufacturer to ensure that the solution would work. He really thought through how it would work for me (eg ensuring I could access my rollator from the end point). He even called round after the installation to check everything was ok.
The engineers who fitted the stairlift were great - they worked flexibly around the carpet fitters and were friendly and helpful. Likewise the carpenters. All left the place tidy and did a good job.
George knew that if we couldn't find a solution I would be forced to leave my much loved home. He kept going till it worked. It does - just (a few mm clearance in several places, but as good a solution as it could be).

Professional, tidy, efficient well mannered installer very good

From the moment we first got in touch with your team, our experience has been absolutely wonderful. Your staff's warmth and efficiency immediately put us at ease. Everyone in the showroom was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the guys were great when they visited our house. The whole process went smoother than we ever expected, without any of the usual stress that comes with these kinds of installations. Everything happened right on schedule, and the engineer's skill in fitting the lift was flawless. He worked so carefully and neatly, leaving our staircase tidy, as if he had never been there. The level of service and attention to detail really went above and beyond what we hoped for, making our entire experience with your company truly outstanding.

I had a lift installed in 2022, at a cost of around £15,000. The lift kept breaking down right from the outset and was not in good working order until late March the following year. EMS refused to extend their one year warranty (which in any event seems very short for such an expensive item) to allow for the above and subsequently offered me contract for servicing and breakdowns at an annual cost of around £800 which, as a pensioner, I cannot afford. I therefore decided to pay for servicing and breakdowns as and when needed. I recently had an issue with the lift and phoned EMS to ask them to send out an engineer. They were quite unhelpful and told me that they would not be able to send anyone immediately because I was not an important customer, given that I did not have a contract with them. I was told I would have to wait at least a day for an engineer to be sent to my house. Given that I am quite significantly disabled and struggle to use the stairs, I was disgusted by their attitude but managed to find another provider who came out within a couple of hours and was also much cheaper and did not demand money up front. If I could give 0 stars for this review, I would do so.

Fantastic customer service, from survey to fitting and aftercare. Had a few companies quote but EMS were the most helpful by far. Super staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Needed a call back due to old lady struggling, they came straight away no hassled. Absolutely recommend this company 5*

Thank you EMS for installing the stairlift for my Father so quickly and efficiently. I found your Engineers and Surveyors were very helpful and knowledgeable. We were amazed that other companies said they could not fit a stairlift on my parents' staircase but the lift EMS installed is brilliant and my Father is delighted to be able to re-access his bedroom and bathroom again.

EMS have just installed a stairlift at my parents house. The service provided from both engineers - Jordan and Max was exceptional. They were both professional, friendly and very informative. They installed the lift which is working smoothly and swiftly. Thank you very much!

I cant rate this company highly enough. My Mother in Law needed a stairlift at very short notice due to a fall.
From start to finish the whole process was absolutely seamless. Within a few days someone had been out and measured the staircase and supplied a quote to supply and fit the stair Lift. In no time at all the lift was installed and we had the peace of mind that she could now safely access the first floor. Since its installation early last year EMS have been back to carry out a full service which was all part of the service contract that we took out.
I recommended the company to a friend who was in a similar situation to us and her mum now has a Stairlift supplied and fitted by EMS and she was absolutely over the moon with the service. Her mum has told us that it has completely transformed her life.

I found all staff from sales to service extremely helpful and polite, nothing they couldn't answer or help with. the customer service was brilliant,Couldn't recommend enough!

Jordan, from EMS stairlifts, came to install a stairlift for my son. He was polite and respectful of my house. He gave me a full demo (including having an go myself) and gave me a full explanation of everything. He left the house clean and tidy. I was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the service.

I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with EMS. The sales person was very friendly and knowledgeable, their installation engineer went above and beyond to address my concerns promptly. Thanks to their efforts my grandma can now use the stairlift to take her to the bedroom safely any time a day or night and i dont need to worry she might hurt herself. She can now live fully independent life, again.
