DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. BUY ELSEWHERE !

We purchased an Xbox one S for $430 with taxes. We cancelled the order one hour later which was ignored and was shipped to us anyways. Now I’m trying tirelessly to get someone to call me back and get a return label for a full refund. We never opened it. We don’t need it. I’m out $430 and their customer service is horrible. With the covid nightmare I realize stores are closed but the lack of customer service is disgusting and a generic email is NOT solving the problem. Don’t waste your time. Buy from Costco, Best Buy or Walmart. They are actually able to assist with customer service and returns. Never again.

I’ve placed an order for express shipping on April 24th, 2020. It’s been the 28th, and I still have not received an email to confirm the date it will be shipped or received. I’ve already been charged the order and I’ve sent two emails to simply get some feedback on the status of the order; however, I’ve received no reply still. Unless I’m mistaken that express shipping is going to take much longer than another person who recently placed a review, saying that their order was received within 5 days, I’d like to get a refund on the express shipping.

Flawless Experience!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with an online order through EB Games. I ordered products on their express shipping and it was expected arrive within five business days, the package was processed and arrived at my home within two business days! The processing was super efficient and tracking was clear and concise. The package was securely padded and my items arrived in perfect condition and exactly as ordered. Thank you so much to EB Games for giving our family flawless delivery! We would definitely purchase from you again.

Very very poor customer service!!

Very very poor customer service!!! You can leave as many emails but they will NOT return. They give your pre-order purchases away without telling you till it's already gone. They don't try and work with you to make sure you get your order. Very disappointed and would give zero Stars if I could. Not going to be a returning customer that's for sure.

Going beyond crazy considering I asked this crappy company to ship my console out with a better reliable service than Purolator. I paid the extra costs(wasted $10), and my package tracking info seems to have a whole puzzle attached to it as the workers can't do their job right. Supposedly my package was Out for Delivery (then switched to delayed due to current pandemic) magically.

I tried to call but hey guess what! They don't even know if it got sent out by the original destination yet but manage to update their tracking with false info?

Good job ebgames!

Went a got a rig400hs headset on the 11/04/20 from ebgames, when I got it home I plugged it all up. I have them found out people could not hear me talk and that it kept cutting out. On the 12/04/20 I took the headset back and explained this issue and asked if I could swap it or upgrade and pay the difference. I was told no and the expreinced the worst customer service I have ever seen from staff. I then got in contact with customer service, I have just received an email stating "sorry but we are not refunding or exchanging" I will be taking this further. They tried saying a change of mind is not a reason to exchange or refund. I have them explained it's not a change of mind the item is faulty. So I am now stuck with a pair of headset s that don't work. Thanks eb from now on I will go to jbhifi for all my gaming needs.

Rude Terrible customer service

Rude, ignorant, condescending and argumentative. I was returning an Xbox refurbished that hasn't worked since day 1 ( 5 weeks ago) but due to sickness I couldn't return it until today. They replaced it but with none of the 2 year warranty I just bought for the broken pos. I had to buy a whole new warranty for the replacement. ! I've now spent more for refurbished than I would have for new and dealt with ignorance! DON'T TRUST THEIR USED STUFF OR THEIR WARRANTIES!
I understand no one wants to be at work during this time but thats no excuse to treat people like garbage!

EB games sells used games that are not functioning. When I purchased it I was told all used games are functioning as they are tested in store. Pure BS! When I returned the game that was broken, I was told they never check the games. They don't care about the state of the game or the customer. They only want the money. Will never buy a game there again.

Poor aftercare/customer service

I purchased a Switch which included a downloadable game for Christmas. When collecting from Warringah Mall they assured me that all info to download was included in the box and I didn't need a receipt only the tax invoice from their eBay store. This was not the case and I have a very disappointed young boy. I have emailed th eBay store (no response), contacted Warringah Mall who fobbed me off to Head Office and was on hold with HO for 42 minutes with no ability to leave a contact number for a return call. Posted on their FB page, they asked me to send details via messenger to which I received a response saying they are suffering from a high number of calls and they would get back to me when they can. No response. Very frustrating and disappointing. Not sure why they can't just email a copy of the receipt which apparently contains the required code.

An employee named Quinten was absolutely ridiculous and impatient, she doesn't have any customer service skills at all, as well as she replies rudely. I reckon, she doesn't want to work, it's better for her to stay home instead of ruining the reputation of EB Games
(Epping Plaza)where we have been customers for the past 6 years and we have never ever had a such an appalling experience. Please check the name badge once you got to EB Games (Epping Plaza).

Stopped by the shop at The Palms today

Stopped by the shop at The Palms today, in Christchurch, to purchase a pack of magic cards. The staff gestured to the cardboard boxes behind them saying their new stock of cards was in one of them and that they weren't ready to open the boxes. Oh well, lost a paying customer. Maybe next time do your job?

Rude staff scam

A week before I traded in my games I got just dance 2019 ($30) and rainbow six siege ($14) for the Christmas deal and there were sales and the guy at the desk said “with the Christmas deal you can trade this in the next 3 weeks and get a full refund of credit then 1 week later I decided to trade in both games at Tuggeranong Canberra and the lady at the desk was awful she was so rude at first then I gave her The games and she gave me $14 for both the games and I was confused and then she was really sassy to me and rude so ebgames....
You need to fix your workers and watch them because sometimes they are just rude

Decent but most stores are average / below average service

EB as a company is alright nothing good to say and the same for bad
however each store can vary
I've been to some good stores and had great experiences but 8 / 10 times the store/s are average or below .

Honestly the staff at most of the stores I go to just don't put the effort to make the experience good
they say they price match but I have to do the hard work ( surely they know the prices of the new games that are popular and how much the nearby stores sell them at )

I could say there's only 3 good stores within decent distance from me and the rest is average or below
had 2 EB staff steal from me too which put me off going to those stores

Do not shop here

When you order NEW games online through this store what you get is games that are opened, dirty, covered in stickers and a little damaged and that is if you are lucky. Games I ordered arrived with smashed cases because they are too cheap to use decent packaging when shipping.

When shopping in store it is just a terrible experience. Recently bought a Switch there and staff bought a screen protector with them to the counter and told me I should by it. Then was told they also have cases on sale. Then when I told them I wasn't a member they started signing me up without even asking if I wanted to. This type of thing always happens. Combine that with messy stores, more gaming loot than actual games and most of the time out priced by competitors and there is almost never a reason to shop here.

It is kind of my fault though. I knew what they were like and decided to go back because they had a decent sale on. We all need to stop shopping here and let this terrible business die.

BEWARE

BEWARE! Very poor customer service and company uninterested in helping people or even selling items!
Checked stock of item on web and went to Chatswood store to purchase only to be told it was a stock error on computer. I was directed to Macquarie centre but same, no stock and wrong computer entry blamed. Complete waste of my time.
Also tried to buy a game from another store but EB games won't deliver to home if it is last item held by a store!
When I informed EB games of these events i received no reply and now I cannot access their website as my IP address has been blacklisted!!

Not really worth it.

I’ve bought from EB many times over the years. The price point is very rarely worth it, and their online support is abysmal. In store service is always very friendly, but as a reclusive nerd I tend to buy online. I’m very on the fence on ratings, as there are always pros and cons. I recently preordered an item which was sent late, and in another instance I was provided the wrong item (a mistake on their half) and then refused a refund because of the payment type (afterpay) and was forced to buy physical items from the store for the item worth as I didn’t want the item I was wrongly given... after being told via phone customer service that if I went into a physical store they could process my refund. So I went wasted my time going into a store and then had to walk around finding things to swap my item for.

Had a layby cancelled without notification or a phone call, then the item that was on sale was then sold to my wife at more than twice what it was lay-by for. When i rang the store manager at Northlands i got told it was there terms and conditions not to contact customers as they would be making 800 calls a day (find that hard to believe) and when I said I would be taking it further got told to go for it and I got a didnt care attitude, i have been a customer of ebgames for years and have spent a lot of money there but this will be the last time.
