Dont even bother

Would give this company zero stars if possible. First off, they called me after I had already hired a shipping broker, to tell me that my broker had called them seeking a driver, and told me that my broker had charged too little. They asked for $300 more and promised they would be able to get it done either Monday or Tuesday, and at the very latest, by Friday. Never answered the phone or several emails after our first contact. After a week of trying to get ahold of them, taking time off work to be available to have my vehicle moved, and after being told I would hear back from them within a day or two, eventually they responded with absolutely no regard for their lack of communications throughout the week. Not sure what the extra $300 pays for, but it's certainly not worth it for this service. They couldn't even give me a call back to let me know things were going to be delayed. I would not have been so upset had they told me, after I called and emailed every day, but instead I was left in the dark. Not sure why they would even invite me to review their service after the emails I sent explaining how disappointing their business is, but here we are.

Wouldn't do it again...

There was miscommunication with "dispatch" and it caused issues. They're a brokering company that lists your auto transport needs and whatever company picks it up is who your vehicle is shipped with. We didn't have a single problem with TransAmerican Transport Inc, but rather with wrong information, inflated quote, and billing issues with Direct Connect Auto Transport. When I used the website to get a quote I was given $900, when I called in because I had a question, I was given a quote of $1400 for the same dates entered into the site. I'm told that's because the quote I got from the site represents the "if there's room on a truck" price. Now that I know they're a broker for many transportation companies I don't buy that for a second. However, he did "lower" the price to $1150. There was an issue with my address and the card used, so the person tried to bill me once for the $1150 and once again for $250, for a total of $1400. Could just be a coincidence, might not be. That was taken care of when they hit my account for $250 again after having them correct my address through a phone call, but then I was told that we'd have to "pay the difference" to the driver (because they couldn't be bothered to tell the driver we had paid through him) upon delivery in the form of cash, check, money order or cashiers check. Now the driver is telling the person receiving the car that it has to be cash or cashiers check... at 9pm on a Sunday night. Where does a person get $900 on the spot on a Sunday night? Jump through your rear to hit ATMs in the area is the only option. The next time I need to ship a vehicle I will be a lot better prepared and not through this company.

Signed a contract on a Monday with…

Signed a contract on a Monday with Direct Connect for $1,150 to move a car from OR to SD. Seemed high, but they sounded like they would be good. Promised the car would be picked up in 72 hours which would be Thursday. I tried calling 3 times on the Thursday and sent an email because they had not picked up the car. Got no retun call or answer to the email. Called on Friday, They said they were working on it and hoped to have it done that day. Nothing, no call or anything. Called the following Mon. They said they couldn't find anyone to pick it up and said maybe I should cancel the contract. I cancelled. Then late that day, I get an email stating that they had charged my credit card $1300 and the driver would be there that day. He didn't show that evening, but he did call me and state that he was going to be there in an hour or two. So, Tue morning, I called and Direct Connect told me they had to raise the price to $1300. I didn't think it was fair to the driver or his company to have had them drive out there to find they would not be picking it up so I proceeded. The driver did a good job, nice guy, no complaints with him. My problem is that I don't feel that Direct Connect was very honest in the way they did business. They tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get the job, then they do not deliver and then they increase the price.

Great Service and Friendly Drivers

The company was able to pick up my car almost immediately. I had 24 hours until I had to move and they came out and picked it up right away. There was a little turbulence with the drop off, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Very good experience

Although I did not eventually ship my car with this company, I find that their service was exceptional and I have to give it up for Charlie who was very transparent and at the same time very professional.

Great when you know exactly what the cost is for shipping before you commit to Direct Connect Auto Transport. They jumped on it. I placed the order to ship my classic Car, the next day it was picked up and the following day it was delivered. Great Job. Thanks

Dishonest and rude

I contacted direct connect to have a car delivered from California. The sales rep, Tammy told me that the car could be delivered in 72 hours with priority shipping. I told her I wanted the priority shipping. Since the dealer was paying for the delivery, Tammy said she could work with “dispatch” to send the invoice to my dealer.

72 hours later, mark at dispatch calls to tell me that they are running a little late but that the car will be picked up that day. Five more days go by and the car is still not picked up. I contact Tammy and confirm that I had signed up for priority shipping- which she confirms. I then contact the dispatch manager, Mark, and he claims that I hand not requested priority shipping. Obviously a lie since Tammy just confirmed that I indeed had. When I politely attempted to inform him that I had spoken to Tammy, he became aggressive and threatened to hang up on me! This is the manager who threatened to hang up on a customer seeking to clarify info on an order- what else do you need to know about this company?!!

At this point, the car still has not been picked up, and I am scheduled to be out of town when it (supposedly will be delivered) and so I have no idea how I will receive the delivery.

In short, the employees of this company are either completely incompetent or straight liars. And either way the manager is actually rude to customers! Do not trust direct context auto transport with your business.

Wonderful experience!!!!

This company not only met my expectation, but exceeded my expectation. From the moment I contacted them to transport my Ford Excursion to the day it arrived at my front door, it was pure joy. My contact person was
Carlos and could not have been more professional and courteous. He kept me informed through the entire process. This company and its people are amazing. I would highly recommend them. If there was a 10 star rating, I would give them a 10. Thank you

I had to call 8 times to get the shipping order correct... each time with something different. I see that it’s still not corrected... Larry is not the one who ordered the shipment. It was me. I just gave up and canceled the whole thing because of the incompetence of your booking agent.

Alec was quick to accommodate my needs…

Alec was quick to accommodate my needs and had my money. The problem was that from there people didn't answer the phone and voicemails weren't set-up so I wasn't sure if I was contacting him or not. After going through the many emails sent to me I found multiple ways to contact others that I hadn't dealt with. I had questions like: When will my car arrive? How long can it be parked at the harbor without an extra fee? Simple stuff that should've been offered to begin with but wasn't. This is where Maria helped, but with an attitude. I found that email was the only way to communicate to get simple answers. Even with that I could only ask one question at a time and then move to the next. My experience was like pulling teeth. This simple and common information should have been freely offered at the beginning. Unprofessional and rude behaviors did not make me feel valuable. This same company used to be Budget Auto Shipping about 6 months and my first experience was great. My second experience not so great. I will not be using them again.

Horrible experience

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a service company. They were scheduled to pick up vehicle on 11/17, the actual day of pick was 11/21. It is now December 3rd and the vehicle has still not been delivered from Eugene OR to Tucson AZ. In fact, the car is locked in the first carrier's lot, and Direct Connect cannot seem to find a second carrier to transport the vehicle to the contracted Tucson. Unfortunately, I had to pay 100% up front $890 and now still have not received the vehicle. Direct Transport's Agreement says "approximate" pick up and delivery. So far we are going on two and half weeks and the vehicle is still not delivered.

Careful before you contract this company to transport your vehicle.

Kyle has been very helpful in arranging the car delivery. However, I would have appreciated a few more updates. There are no words to express my greatest thanks to Jerome and Mimosa--this couple went way above and beyond to make sure the car got delivered safely and timely--I give that couple more than 5 stars!!! They were in constant touch with me and the recipient of the car--May the Lord richly bless and protect them. I really appreciated dealing with Kyle at Direct Auto Transport.

Do not use them!

the person who took my order was good, but overall a terrible experience. They were suppose to pick up the car on a Monday, came unannounced on Friday! Then they told me that it will be delivered on Tuesday of next week, it didn't come till Thursday evening. No response to the emails to find out the date/time of delivery. And the worst is that the car arrived absolutely DISGUSTING AND FILTHY!! I have written an email to complain, but no response. Regret using such unprofessional company, stay away and use someone better!
