Desertcart should review their Trustpilot ratings and comments and learn a few things, and, hey, give us our money back!

if there was no stars that would match better, i bought something from Desertcart but quickly changed my mind, but today i get an email to say my membership runs out today and they take £179 out today got in touch with PayPal but i am not holding my breath this is the first i have heard of it bloody discussing con merchants DO NOT BUY FROM THESE IT IS A CON

Fraud service. They never remind us about charging the card and discreetly charges the card for Pro Membership.

Literally the same experience as every other person below. I cancelled the subscription but didn't get email confirmation and they charged me 179GBP and i reacted immediately but they said they cannot refund.

I used to love this website but I'm really angry now. Be aware of the PRO membership subscription (DO NOT subscribe) because you won't be warned (oh yeah they will tell you we sent an email which they did but it DOES NOT mention the HUGE spike in price) they rely on us not checking and on us trusting them that they will let us know clearly. I was charged all of the sudden AED699 (after a six months free trial where I ordered one item),I received a call that says I am eligible for refund but a month later I am being told by the customer service I am NOT illegible for a refund (because I ordered that one stupid item in Nov) but they are still "working on my case" since I canceled membership immediately. There is NO excuse for you not to make sure every single customer is REALLY aware of this large spike in the price

**** And please stop responding "you enjoyed the benefits of our membership so we charged you", having the item arrived a bit faster DOES NOT mean we are willing to pay AED699 for it annually

His response was that he couldn't do anything about it. I am certain that the price change is intentional, likely to charge customers the higher amount of 699 AED. I bought a face mask frommDesert Cart costing £33.00, unknown to me I inadvertantly signed for a Pro service which cost me £179.00, which I cannot get back. I live on the basic pension, these people should be ashamed of themselves.

DESERTCART IS A SCAM. Bought a book from Desertcart from USA delivered in Uk. I payed GBP50 via Paypal. One month later, beginning of July 2023 they withdrew GBP179 from my PayPal account. They said it was in their terms and conditions and that’s an annual membership. I never noticed I agreed to any annual membership. It’s a scam. Does someone know what I can do to get back my money. I contact them by chat but they said they do not refund. They do not answer my emails. Paypal is helping them through their scam. I will probably close my PayPal account if they do not refund. They should help me through this

I tried to buy some wire baskets for my kitchen but became suspicious when they didn't show a delivery charge and the authorisation code they sent didn't work. I tried their online chat to establish if the order had gone through but it repeatedly asked the same questions. I checked my Palpal account to find that no payments had been made but after reading reviews on this site about unauthorised subscriptions being taken, I decided to phone Paypal to check. They advised me that nothing had been taken but that the company had been added to my subscription list and there was a payment of around £170.00 due to be taken later this. month. This is obviously a tactic so you don't notice it until a much later date. Luckily Paypal have cancelled this unauthorised payment and confirmed it in writing. If I could have awarded minus stars I would have done.

I too fell victim to the Desert Cart scam. I think these people need to be arrested for fraud. I did not authorize the charge 699AED to my card. No pin code for authorization was sent to me. I canceled my card and reported them to the fraud department and requested a refund. Even though it happened 10 minutes prior to my reporting them. If anyone knows where Desertcart is headquartered, we need to drive to them and hold them accountable for their fraud immediately and bring the people of this criminal organization to justice. Whatever you do.. NEVER do business with DesertCart.ae!!! EVER!

Scammers automatically enrole you into a £179.00 membership, non refundable

The WORST online shopping ezperience ever, they scammed me out of 870 dhs which was charged on the default shipping option, you have to conciously reject the PRO Mmembership befoe ordering otherwise you get charged that amount.

They are so so desperate for money, that it worth for them to scam a customer, fake the user to think it's a shipping option and them charge 700AED for a Pro membership.

And if you ask them for refund, that this is illegal and it was not your intention to subscribe, they run away with your money!!! JUST LIKE THIEVES THEY ARE!!!

Was charged for a PRO subscription £179 which I did not knowingly agree to. Refund refused by customer services. PayPal resolution centre closed my case in favour of dessertcart. So in would seem that dessertcart has this scam sown up tight.

Shocking experience! I made an order twice that was cancelled twice. I had to ask why and they said that the products could not be shipped to Saudi Arabia. One month later they charged SAR799 for a Pro Membership that I never asked for. When queried they subsequently cancelled the membership but did not refund me. Ahhhhh, shocking company to deal with.

I was charged SAR 799 for PRO membership which I canceled on the last day. Customer service said they sent an email for a free trial to PRO which would then be charged for. I didn’t receive any reminder emails, therefore was late to cancel this upgrade on the last day. They refused to refund the fees or provide any other solutions and really bad attitude from customer service staff. Please think twice before using Desertcart as they use these tricky ways to steal from their customers, you should think twice as most likely you too could become an innocent victim…

Utter scam, any non '1 star' reviews on here are obviosuly written by Desertcart. They are set up as a scam to trick you then offer 'no refund' for no explicable reason, as it is a service you have noit yet used. Getting lwayers involved, it looks like its not their first time (check Reddit). Avoid!

Wonder how they approve to run such a company in Dubai. I signed in for pro trial thinking the delivery will be quick. It was a horrible experience with the delivery. And on top of this they have charged 650 dhirams for subscription . Amazon is more customer friendly in these cases. Is there any one who got their money back . I’m not even going to use their services and I think 650 is a big loss considering their worst customer service.
