This company has illegally placed my branded copyrighted product/images on their website without my approval or Amazon's approval. If their legal team removed my items from their website, then I'll remove my reviews on all social media platform. They claim because I sell on Amazon it's on their website, Amazon's executive department stated they have no knowledge of doing business with them. 😏

Here we go again. One year on from the last review and Desertcart are at it again!

Desertcart have a plan. Hide a subscription under the long T&C's that nobody reads when buying online and then 30 days after you purchase, they charge you a couple of hundred for your subscripton. Then make it impossible to find a way to unsubscribe and add a large number of steps if you do find it to stop you doing so.

I complained to Paypal about this but Desertcart know the rules. Paypal will ask you to send evidence of the contract. But Desertcart has no contract. Just it's T&C's which you cannot find unless you make another purchase. Paypal then closes your complaint as you cannot send the evidence that Desertcart won't send you. It's like a game of cat and mouse.

One year on, with no notification, Desertcart try to take another payment. Luckily I had not left funds to enable them to do it. Otherwise I would be back in Groundhog Day.

This time I go on the Desertcart chat. Press them hard to cancel the membership. They cannot do it, only you can. Except you cannot find the page to do so because it is hidden - even when you login!!!

How? Well they now have multiple URL's for different countries. And unless you happen to find the URL with the subscription information, it isn't there. Unbelievable.

Clearly since my review one year ago, the company is growing madly. Easy when you charge everyone elses bank accounts despite no purchases (because you 'subscribed') and there is no recourse because they are based in the UAE. Also clearly, they write their own Trustpilot reviews now. Read the glowing five star reports in bad English and it is pretty obvious who is writing them. Don't believe them.

Overall, AVOID this company. They do not stock anything. They distance sell and drop ship. It takes ages and often incurs customs charges to get your goods. When they do arrive, you are likely already signed up to an annual subscription, unknowingly. And you have given access to your bank account to a rogue trader in my view. One year on, they charge you again. The goods you ordered can cost multiples of what they were advertised as if you add in the 'subscription' charges.

And it is a world of pain to unsubscribe.

Don’t ever order from this website! One year ago I ordered one supplement because I didn’t find it in another store, this particular brand was recommended by my health coach and it was 182 dirhams. Since that they, don’t know how!, I subscribed to a PRO membership and they charged me 699 dirhams and refused to refund me even tho I told them I don’t want to use it, then I wanted to cancel it but their app was always crashing and not working! Today one year later I got charged again AED 699! Without using any of their services!!! Run away from this fraud company!!!! Plus everything is OVERPRICED there. Someone SUE them, so frustrating!!!!

Desertcart is a rogue online service that con people and deducts a pro membership fee no one signed up to knowingly. Once that money is taken it’ll never be refunded. Run, run and run from desert cart it’s FRAUD!!!

Desert cart is deducting pro membership 799 Saudi riyals from all the customers without their knowledge, this is an open theft. Very bad experience and are not ready to refund it still big fight is going on.

some gud lawyer should flipping sue them for a good amount and make their business go bankrupt, charging 699 aed with out consent like what he heck? read the terms and any normal person will not be able to spot the term where they are allowed to charge without consent (don't even know if there a term about the charging without consent since i wasn't able to find it).

Total scam. They withdraw money for their membership without consent. They deliver really late and their customer service is absolutely terrible. This company doesn’t care about clients or users and they are borderline unethical in their clarity and transparency and with their refund policies. They make it extremely difficult and don’t take feedback at all. Do not use them!!!

They're a proper scam and charging you 699 AED for a membership that you have not subscribed for. I asked them to refund it to me and cancel whatever it is but they refused. The worst thing is that I placed 1 order in November and received in December the wrong product and they said they would send me a new product, one month later nothing!

Avoid at all costs! Sadly I too have been conned into this. As far as I'm aware I didn't even order anything from them but the item I bought was shipped from the US and they seem to have signed me up.

Avoid buying from them... They have a hidden charge for Pro-Membership which is useless... I didn't even create an account during my order and they charged me for membership. Their support refused to refund the money. I called the bank to get the money back but still not confirmed. Avoid and don't buy from them they are a scam!

SCAM!! They will sign you to their "PRO Membership" without your consent and then charge you 699 aed as an annual membership fees which is of course non refundable!
I urge everyone to report them to the authorities especially eCrime department in dubai police..

They scammed me of 699 for a subscription I did not subscribe to. The same happened with Amazon and they were sued. I complained to UAE consumers wright I’m waiting for an appointment to make a formal on and apparently I’m not the only one

**BEWARE** I wrote previously that l purchased a simple plastic part for my Breville juicer for £34 inc delivery and it arrived three weeks later. Then, one month after that (January 2023), the merchant debited another £192 from my card without my approval. I sent several emails to them querying the charge, requesting (demanding) a refund, but none were answered. Evidently there was something in the small print about a membership that was required to buy this small item. PayPal and my bank were sympathetic that I have been caught out by their “sneaky” practice (as Barclays described it) and I have no idea how this is legal! In response to my previous review they invited me to write to them, something I have done multiple times, but received no answer. TODAY (17 Dec 2023) THEY HAVE TRIED TO TAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT. Thankfully PayPal refused it this time, but I didn’t ever receive a refund for the £192 taken from my account that was not approved. How is this company still operating with so many having complained of being scammed in this way!?

This company should be shut down and the operators put in prison. It is a total fraud. Obtaining money by blatant, premeditated deception. They are a menace to society. I will be looking into a Class Action lawsuit as it is clear that thousands upon thousands of people have suffered under the same scam. Banks useless in recovery. Am preparing paper for UAE authorities.

I have ordered some items and I have discovered that I was giving a free trial and signed up for their scam PRO subscription. They claim that they sent me an email confirming the subscription, but they didn't. Now I have been charged AED700 which cannot be cancelled or redeemed. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM

What ? I've never asked for it !
