Communication is terrible

Last week I sent a request for a test ride to be taken today. After two daysnot hearing anything I sent another message and had confirmation of them receiving it and was told that they would be in touch soon. They never got back to me and I know that they have still got the bike. Maybe they don't really want to sell it. That's good because now, I don't want to buy it.

Probably the worst experience of buying a new motorcycle ever.

I first contacted the Craig Honda dealership in January 2026. All my local dealerships were quoting deliveries in May for the New Honda GB350s. The salesman Steve told me I could get my new Honda GB350s between the 23rd-25th March so I left a deposit and placed the order. I had heard nothing by the 19th March so contacted Craig Honda to confirm delivery date. I was then told delivery had been delayed by 4 weeks so the new delivery would be mid April, come 2nd week in April I contacted Craig Honda again to confirm delivery date of which I was being told now would be the 3rd May. At no time did this company contact me to update me on delivery times that were constantly being moved, I have had to do all the chasing. On the 3rd of May I was contacted by Craig Honda to confirm my motorcycle had landed and they just needed to slot the delivery day in but we're waiting for other deliveries to be confirmed in my area. They raised the invoice for my motorcycle on the 6th May and I arranged a bank transfer for the full amount the same day. On the 7th May I arranged for motorcycle insurance according to the invoice paperwork. The owner of Craig Honda Craig, delivered my motorcycle this morning and told me the V5 should be with me within a week. After I checked the bike for damage in transit I took the bike and put it on my hydraulic lift to start fitting hugger, screen, fender extender and noticed the registration was different by one letter to my paperwork. I immediately contacted my insurance to update the mistake and then phoned Craig Honda to explain my actual registration was different to my paperwork. I was then told the workshop had put the wrong registration on the bike. And they promised to send out a new registration plate by courier for arrival the next day. The whole experience with this company has shown to be incompetent, the experience of owning a new motorcycle has been tainted by the incompetence from the moment I placed the order. This whole experience has not been positive, the only company I have ever delt with where the customer has to do all the chasing and all the checks. Disappointed doesn't even come into it. I will bet my new registration plate doesn't arrive on time and no doubt they will blame someone else like the courier for this as they refuse to take any responsibility for these errors stating I should have checked the registration upon delivery. Obviously a pre delivery inspection was not carried out or this wouldn't have happened. I wonder if this lack of service will mean they will offer me compensation for the upset and inconvenience of these errors and I just wonder if it will mean they make an effort to put things right like offering my first service free. It will be interesting and I will update this post accordingly over the next 24 hours. I don't think I will trust this company again as the experience hasn't been good and I'm a cash buyer, I can only imagine what anyone buying a motorcycle on credit with this company would entail. No doubt there would be room for even more errors to occur.

Many thanks to all the team at Craig's…

Many thanks to all the team at Craig's Honda (Ben, Abby, Josh, Matt and Steve). I have been an extremely happy customer for three years now. Whenever I go to visit them they always treat my bike (Ruby) and myself with the upmost respect and care. There is no one else I would trust to look after my Ruby. Many thanks for always being there when I need help.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Once they have your money if there is a problem with your bike they will try every avoidance trick in the book to try and NOT sort it out. This WIlL leave you with a bike which is not fit for purpose and financially out of pocket. Don’t just take my word check out similar reviews from many others.
I purchased a Tiger 800 from them in October 2025. 24 hours after it had been delivered, and I first used it, it became apparent the vehicle was mechanically damaged, was not fit for purpose and it was in a dangerous condition.
I tried to exercise my rights under the consumer rights act 2015, which allows ALL consumers to return a vehicle if purchased from a main dealer which is not fit for purpose as long as you do so within the first 30 days. Craigs just would not uphold my rights. I had to make a claim through the small claims court. During communications they tried to convince me, without legal substance, that they had a right to repair it and not give me a full refund. This is NOT legally true.
This is STILL in legal process after many months.
My message to anyone even thinking of buying from Craig’s Honda - think hard about it - look at the many negative reviews - there is a similar thread. The thread is - once they have your money they will do everything they can to NOT sort it out and leave you stranded.
If you MUST buy from them please protect yourself with using a credit card for even a small deposit of the full price. If you do that you can instigate a sections 75 application with the credit card company. Then the FULL cost of your purchase is covered by the credit card Company.
Key message - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. PROTECT YOURSELF. There are many other bikes on the market.

Reply from Craigs Honda

Dear Karl

We respect that any review should be fair and accurate. At no point have we refused to offer a full refund. We simply asked you to confirm the vehicle’s mileage, which you have declined to provide despite several follow-up emails requesting this information.

You proceeded to place the matter into mediation, which we fully supported. However, you also declined to provide the mileage details to the mediator, which was noted as unusual.

We arranged a collection date for the Triumph and confirmed this via email. Unfortunately, when our driver arrived at your property, no one was present, and we have not received any response to our subsequent emails.

As part of the refund process, we are entitled to inspect the vehicle to verify the reported fault. We have made every effort to support you and resolve this matter, but your lack of cooperation has made it extremely difficult to reach a conclusion.

We remain willing to resolve this issue and ask that you engage with us so we can move forward.

Kind regards,
Craig Holmes
Managing Director

Whenever I go for servicing

Whenever I go for servicing, they find a fault which I am not aware of, charge me for the labour time spent on the newly found problem they allegedly fixed, but when I return home, the fault they told they fixed becomes worse. I prefer they only do normal servicing because they make it worse whenever they find fault which I am not aware. I only go there for servicing because I have two year warranty.

There is no feedback section on their website to report about problems with their service. So here I am writing a review on trustpilot.

NOT IMPRESSED with STEVEN, @ Craigs Honda

Bought a 2023 Triumph Speedmaster,
Reasonably priced,
BUT, no walkround of the bike, a scratch on the tank Steve"I never noticed that " will cost a £100 at least to fix,? I have given them till today to respond, nothing, not impressed by the attitude, paid cash, Said it had been serviced, but the chain looked as if it has not been touched.
I have just checked the engine oil and it is not even showing in the Oil level check window, 1.5 litres put in.

Terrible service

I bought a Rocket 3 from these guys. Initially everything was fine up until the point they had my money.

My first ride , the bike overheated and left me in need of recovery. They picked the bike up and dropped it back of saying it was fixed after finding a plug unplugged.

I suspect no testing was done as surprise surprise the next time I rode the bike it once again overheated and I needed recovery.

Spoke to Matt the day after who was incredibly rude and dismissive and said I'd need to ride the bike up to them, which is about 50 miles on a bike that overheats as soon as I get to traffic.

Then told me that they would pick it up next week and I've heard absolutely nothing from them in nearing 2 weeks.

The service has been absolutely horrendous with poor communication, rude staff and nebulous excuses.

Avoid at all costs, once they have your money they just don't care. In 20 years of motorcycling I've never had such a bad experience with a dealer.

first class service

I bought a GL1500 goldwing online in early July, Steve who dealt with me over the telephone was very helpful, sale was very quick and all paperwork was sorted without fuss, bike arrived and I was more than happy, it is a beautiful machine as Steve had said. In late September it developed an engine problem, was not running smoothly and lost power. I rang Steve and he agreed it was still under warranty. He arranged for bike to be collected absolutely no hassle whatsoever, Jim the van driver was very approachable and friendly soon had the bike onboard and secure. the guys very quickly solved the problem and before I knew it the bike was on its way back home. It is now running perfectly . There was no ifs or buts from Craigs Honda and no unexpected costs to me. I can't thank Steve and the team enough. Excellent company and highly recommended thanks millions.

Recent purchase

I recently purchased a used CBR500R from Craig's Honda and had great experience. Keith was incredibly helpful. He guided me through every step of the process, making sure I was informed about my purchase, and gave me regular updates.

Keith’s took the time to answer all my questions and provided valuable insights about the bike.

The delivery process was great. The bike arrived promptly and in excellent condition. The delivery driver informed myself when he was 30 mins away. The team at Craig's Honda ensured that everything was handled efficiently and professionally.

I highly recommend Craig’s Honda for anyone looking to purchase a motorcycle. Keith and the entire team provided an outstanding experience from start to finish.

dont trust what they say

What can I say other than dont trust them. Bought a bike online from them and the way I was treated once they received my money was absolutely disgusting . They lied to me about the Condition of the bike things like Broken spotlights, balding Tyres and more. They all the promises in the world. To put it straight. Nothing has been done since its been over 3 moths. Am now considering leigal action absolutely disgusted with the manager and the sales staff.
