Absolutely Awful Customer Service!!!

Firstly, I would like to point out, I am not one to ever leave bad reviews. Working in customer service myself, I appreciate how frustrating bad reviews can be, especially when they could have been sorted so easily and smoothly, however, my poor experience with the customer service team has actually shocked me.

I returned a unwanted bottle of vodka, a really nice product. Unfortunately it was no longer needed as a present. I checked the returns page on their website and noted the returns address for a refund. I had up to 30 days, brilliant I thought. What i did note was very strange on the returns page on their website, was they talk about returning items such as sanitary ware, food, and lots of items that this company doesn't sell.. perhaps they have copied their returns information presented on their website from another company and haven't changed it suitably?!! Something that needs to be considered...

ANYWAY.. i returned the product at my own expenses, packaged in the original cardboard box, placed the item in an ADDITIONAL cardboard box padded out. I received an email from the CS team when the return was received the next day.. i thought WOW great, this company are on it, asking for my reason for return, which i explained unwanted gift.

NEXT EMAIL reads - sorry we cannot refund simply because its an unwanted gift...excuse me?!! Had this been in writing on their terms and conditions on return page, i would have understood. BUT NO, the returns page reads .. refunds within 30 days. Nothing about reasons why you cant return.

Having questioned this with the the CS rep, she somewhat seemed very rude and the email tone changed from kind regards, to your sincerely to regards. The emails had no footings and were written very unprofessional, even though i had remained polite throughout. Having worked in customer services for 7 years, i always keep my emails professional, polite and the attitude that the 'customer is always right'. Why was the women acting as though i was an inconvience or unreasonable?!

Few days after this.. still no refund.. i have chased, and was advised i paid by paypal so it can take 7 - 10 days and instead to send my bank details over by email... AGAIN very unprofessional, bank details should never be sent over by email. ALSO, paypal is an instant transaction, again, working with Paypal myself in customer services i am aware of this. Where as a bank transaction can take a few days.

A shame really as a great product. Being such a small company they really should look at their returns terms and conditions and customer experiences. Professionalism goes a long way.

Excellent service and my purchase arrived safely and quickly. Totally love the bottle and it makes a great gift. I’ve bought it for my god daughters 21st and I’m going to look forward to having a tipple with her once I’m able to . Such a colourful bottle I love the design . My only quirk is that I bought the gift box and it doesn’t quite close flush but it finishes it off , being a gift. Would definitely buy again and recommend the seller :))
