This is definitely a scam. Chinese company.
This is definitely a scam.
Saw an ad on Facebook - which was a very convincing story about a lady struggling to cope juggling work and family and so was having to close down her London boutique. Ordered jumpers- later i saw several similar ads with similar story but different company name. Similar websites, some of the clothes are the same. Definitely a scam!
Aparently the clothing is being shipped from China and that if I’m not happy I have to return to China within 14 days. The website clearly states it’s a London boutique.
PayPal are allowing this company two weeks to reply before refunding my money - why?? If you see one of these ads please report to Facebook-at the very least they are breaching advertising standards in the UK.
Scam do not buy
Served an ad on Facebook - which I normally don’t click- convincing story about closing down a business in the UK. Ordered jumpers- later in the evening served similar ad with similar story but different company name-then 2 more. Similar websites, some of the clothes are the same. Definitely a scam, reported to my bank in the hope that they can do something about the transaction. If you see one of these ads please report to Facebook-at the very least they are breaching advertising standards in the UK.
Scam- do not trust
This is definitely a scam. I've ordered this morning, spent 61£ but I'm pretty sure I'll never see the clothes I bought. It appears as an advert on Instagram, and a sale for a shop closing down. What's very deceiving is that it actually shows you some trust pilot reviews under the items you click to buy, but they are fake!!! I can't find the page on Instagram again. I feel furious.
Products are nothing like the picture…
Products are nothing like the picture and are shipped from China, not London.
Pretty sure this is a scam..
Pretty sure this is a scam... It pops up as an advert on social media talking about a closing down sale. Don't get a good feeling; the products are marked down and look too good to true plus after I looked at the Clare London website, another advert popped up on social media for 'Velora London' with almost identical website and products. I've reported the adverts and pages.
Scam, avoid!!!
Agree with all reviews I have just found on here. Brand claims to be a “boutique” that is “established in London” - products took 2 weeks to arrive as shipped from China. Items of very poor quality (completely misrepresented on the website) and looked they came from Shein (even in the same packaging - pretty sure they have come from the same factory!!!) - complete scam, avoid!!!
A scam, avoid!
This, I now understand, is not a genuine seller. One of the items I purchased did not fit (and is of very poor quality, unlike the photo). I have repeatedly asked for the return form (which must be sent to an email hidden on their website) and have been sent all manner of responses trying to dissuade me from returning the product. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Avoid at all costs
Purchased 4 items after seeing advert on instagram. All looked lovely and on sale. Company website very misleading said company was established in the heart of London. Looked like a genuine uk company.
Once order placed tracking of packages were being shipped from china. Alarm bells started ringing.. Received items (all separately packaged) totally disappointed the 3 knitted jumpers were ill fitting / 100% polyester instead of expected wool. Colours were not even as advertised. Shoes were 2 sizes larger and also inferior quality.
I have been stung before with Chinese websites advertising beautiful products and recieved absolute rubbish. This website very misleading say established in london. Marketing very clever saying everything on sale jumpers originally priced o we £100 now selling at £35 shoes £70 for £30. The instagram add had said 4 or 5 star trust pilot so now I know this is not the case.
Should have heeded the old saying if something looks too good to be true then it probably is.
Contacted them asking for refund / return. I suspect they will charge an astronomical fee for returns and be out of pocket.
Avoid at all costs
Wish I had came to this site first.
If there was a no star option I would have selected that.
Not what it looks like…
Ordered a ‘premium quality cashmere jumper’ it is 100% polyester and seems to have come straight from china
Definitely scammy
Definitely scammy, I almost ordered 6 months ago after an Instagram ad claiming they were having a closing down sale. I've just seen another ad, again saying that they are closing down - a clear sales tactic. I did really like one of the jumpers pictured, but I noticed that their displayed Trustpilot reviews are not clickable. I searched them on here and turns out I am only the second person to leave a review, which means that they've falsified it on their website.
Items received are absolutely not as advertised
I ordered 3 items in what was advertised as a closing down sale on Instagram. So far, 2 have arrived and neither is as advertised. The photos on the website show both to be knitwear. One is knitted but is not exactly as photographed (different shape and the main colour is a different shade). The second item to arrive was laughable! It is made of an unidentified synthetic fabric (there is no care label to help with identification) onto which is printed a digital copy of the pattern shown on the photo on the website of the knitted cardigan.
I assumed, perhaps naively, that a company called Claire London would be shipping product from London or at least the UK but they came from China, which took ages, and each was shipped separately so the carbon footprint of this order is horrific! I assume this contributes to the fact that the company does not appear to have carried any quality control to ensure what they advertise is what their customers receive. Perhaps why they are going out of business?
I have emailed the company to request a return. I hope this process is straightforward!
I note also that the website shows plenty of 5* reviews from Trustpilot (apparently there's more than 1781 reviews) yet it looks like I am the first to review them on Trustpilot so I am confused by that.
My advice - avoid, avoid, avoid!
