Return policy not honored despite poor quality issue

I purchased dresses for use as bridemaid dresses and they were unwearable. The heavily molded, very large cups (much larger that than then listed measurements) are sewn into the waist band. I requested a return and refund, and was met by several emails denying that request. The company also repeatedly asked me to take a small percentage refund and resell the dresses locally - again, they are unwearable by someone with a human female anatomy. This company is borderline a scam, and certainly does not produce quality clothing or treat its customers well. Unfortunately, I have been left with little choice but to go through the credit card dispute process instead.

Late postage bad customer service

Asked about delivery time before I ordered was guaranteed if o paid for special postage it would arrive in time for prom but wasn’t even sent from them until day before it was needed from china to England took over a month then they didn’t want to refund after numerous emails I got half back even though I had had to buy another dress already

Gorgeous dress

Gorgeous dress. My daughter looked fantastic in her dress on her prom. Customer Service was great, they respond swiftly when I contacted them and the dress was delivered on time. I would recommend them.

Perfect fit, speedy delivery stunning dress

Ordered a dress for a wedding for my granddaughter who is basically size 10 on the top and size 14 on the bottom so I have a lot of trouble getting a dress to fit. I sent all measurements to Cicinia and received a beautiful, perfectly fitting ball gown within a week. Fits perfect and looks stunning. The price is amazing and I've told all my friends about them. Certainly be using them again.

Do not try to return anything to Cicinia - it's a scam

Returning dresses/getting a refund from Cicinia is a nightmare. Do not trust their policy as it is clearly a scam. I ordered a bridesmaid dress in two different sizes and was going to send one back - according to their policy this would mean getting a 90% refund and I'd have to pay for the returns, which I was willing to do. However, when I emailed the website to arrange the return, they offered a 25% refund and for me to keep both dresses. They also mentioned how I would need to pay to ship it back to China, even though they shipped from the UK! I refused this and was then offered a 55% refund and to keep both dresses, which I've begrudgingly done, as I will then sell the other dress elsewhere to get some money back. Clearly a scam!

Our standard return policy does offer a 90% refund for items returned in unworn, original condition (with tags and packaging), with the customer covering return shipping. However, because our warehouse is located in China (complete logistics can be checked via the website), international returns can incur high shipping costs and delays. To provide a more convenient alternative, we sometimes offer partial refunds for customers who prefer to keep the items—this avoids return logistics and helps you recoup some cost without the hassle of shipping.
In your case, we initially proposed a refund as an option to keep both dresses, but after further discussion, we increased this to 55% to better accommodate your situation. We never intended for this to feel misleading, and we regret that our communication didn’t make this clearer.
We’ve taken your feedback seriously and will review our policy explanations to ensure future customers have a smoother experience. If there’s anything further we can do to resolve this for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

DO NOT BUY FROM CICINIA. RETURNS POLICY IS A SCAM!

The dresses are good quality. But that is where the positive notes start and end. This company are con artists! First you have to pay nearly £50 for delivery and then they scam you with the returns. Their return policy says 90% refund as long as you return in 14days. But what they fail to mention is that you have to ship them to China so will pay easily £100 shipping to get them back to them and that it will take longer than 14 days so will be outside of their returns policy. Even though they did not send the dresses from China originally! This is a professional con as backs you into a corner of keeping the dresses to avoid the shipping costs (which they even try to advice you to do when you email asking to return dresses!) so that their sales look better! Not to mention that their original returns policy of 90% is illegal anyways as it goes against UK consumer law that states a UK consumer has the right to a100% refund including original standard delivery costs. Even if you tell them this multiple times in email they will continue to refuse to comply. I am having to raise a payment dispute with my credit card company and have a filed a complaint to Citizens Advice Ombudsmen who are looking into this company's fraudulent and illegal trading. Do not use this company! Report them to trading standards and get them shut down!

However, we need to state one thing: our policy is to require 15 days to contact the after-sales, not the processing time of the whole incident. Once the after-sales process is underway, no matter how long it takes for the returned parcel to arrive, it is still within our service scope. And with the tracking number, you can see the whole shipping process. We ship from our warehouse in China. And as for trial orders, we have mentioned in our policy that all dresses are made to order, not stock. All we also suggest in policy that buy the one you like the most before deciding whether you want to buy other styles, you choose to buy one time, all we will follow the return policy.

Beautiful design and colour but…

Beautiful design and colour. Unfortunately the four year old’s dress side seam split the first time she tried it on. The fit was fine it was the stitching that came apart so I had to repair it before the wedding. In fairness I didn’t contact them because I didn’t believe they would be able to do anything about it in time.

The return policy is not good. The quality was poor for £145. Try to return offered £30 !!!!!! Finally got £80. Don't buy.
