Don’t buy if your planning too return , have been trying to return a parasol for 3 weeks, evri keep saying they have collected it when they haven’t, you cannot get through on phone and email replies with sorry high volume

I am sharing this directly as this is how I was treated. I am incredibly upset, and left in a state of deep distress by this company.
I chose to buy directly from Christow because of there core values are to encourage enjoyment and happiness. I genuinely trusted that ordering directly from them would mean a safe, supportive experience. Instead, that trust has been completely broken.
I am a disabled wheelchair user living with chronic injuries that severely restrict my mobility. I cannot leave my home often. So I have been creating a peaceful garden sanctuary. It was supposed to be a happy day for me, but Christow team and XDP have completely ruined the experience.
Firstly, there was the delayed discrepancy of the overestimated timescale it would take to be delivered. This didn’t worry me so much because I understand that sometimes these things can happen.
However, I discovered a major delivery issue that no one had communicated to me when I ordered. I got an updated message saying that they would be delivering today. In the document, it stated that they would only be delivering the items to the outside of the building. This immediately concerned me, as I’m sure you will understand. There was no way I would be able to organise any assistance at such short notice.
When I first called the office, the staff promised they would email the courier to fix it.
I then received an email from your transit partner stating that they would only drop the heavy furniture at the ground-floor outer entrance of my building because Christow booked a, 1-man delivery service. They explicitly stated that their drivers are not insured to bring it to my actual front door, and they confirmed they had already made Christow aware of this rule.
When I called the team back, the response I received was heartbreaking. The representative told me on a recorded line that he was "lost for words" or to that effect, and asked to put me on hold.
Sadly, after speaking with his manager, he came back and told me there is "not a lot they can do." He shockingly suggested: could I find a neighbour or someone to help move your heavy cargo inside? There might have been something I could have done had I known in advance. He then he went on to tell me that he could cancel it but even though he can cancel the order entirely, there is "no guarantee" the courier wouldn't still turn up and dump the heavy items outside my building anyway. This put me in a panic, and I had to ask him what I was supposed to do. I then quoted the Consumer Rights Act to him.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I know I am not responsible for this delivery now that it is officially cancelled, and I have opened a PayPal dispute to protect the money. All before I got my refund. I did email Mr Bradley (director) and he didn’t respond

products are good but the parasol had some black marks on when I received it. I didn't have time to return it as I needed it for the sunny weather. The sand/water filled base is solid. I opted to use sand and regretted it after the first hour trying to fill it up. I used play sand on recommendation of a store and in hindsight a courser sand may have gone in better. The tube that screws into the base to hold the parasol doesn't seem have gripped so the parasol twirls round a bit.

I am frequent Amazon shopper but was recommened this parasol by my son so bought direct this time. It was really easy to order direct from the website, competeive price, good quality and fast delivery.
Having the ratched pulley makes it a lot easier to raise the umbrella and I'm very happy with my purchase.
NB: A word of warning though but no definitely no critism of the product and seller.
My previous parasol was on a very solid wooden pole (without a ratchet pully). It got to the stage that I was struggling to get it open, hence my purchase of one with a steel pole and aluminium struts. A few days after purchase a freak gust of wind blew the parasol over, even though it was firmly in the 12.5kg base. It landed onto the garden wall nearby and dented the upper section of the pole so now it has a slight list. I now have a 25 kg base with the 12.5 kg one used as an extra weight and now wind the parasol down if it's breezy and I'm going to leave it unattended.

Dreadful experience.
Delivery tracker stuck for days; emailed company - got standard response.
Emailed again - told they’re investigating. Heard no more .
Telephoned - answered by someone in South Africa - communication was painful to say the least. Eventually get told order lost in transit - although tracker I see still stuck .
WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK ? Or HAVE I BEEN SCAMMED ???

Very low quality product,mediocre to be more correct.
I bought parasol and 25 kg base for it(as recommended by the seller for use without a table).
However hard you turn the tightening knob though the pole gets taken off the base even by the lightest breeze. I’ve already been a few times to the neighbours to collect the umbrella . The pole seems to be made of cheese and is already damaged all over.
Very,very disappointing experience…

Paid for next day delivery but this did not happen. Expected delivery is now due in 4 days. Shocking service. Should have ordered with Amazon!
