The LRC radio course was excellent. Practical, fun and good preparation for the exam.
Brilliant tender operator course hosted by Adam with Chieftain training!Highly recommend
Well run. The instructor kept it interesting while explaining everything
My second course at Chieftain and both have been professionally conducted, great content & delivery in a format that was easy to absorb. Alan was able to remain personable & demonstrated a high level of knowledge in both subject areas 🏆
A good course to do. Ideal if you're going for your CoC
Doug's Advanced Powerboat Instructors Course truly stands out as an exceptional experience. He tailored the material precisely to the participants' skill levels, ensuring we acquired the necessary knowledge to become competent instructors. His vast expertise clearly shines through in his teaching.
Carl our instructor has a broad range of experience within the yachting industry as well as being a a very experienced marine electrician.
The 2 days are packed with challenges getting your head around marine electrics and also boat systems and how all this is put together to make boat electrical systems work. The use of the multimeter, clamp metre and soldering were extremely beneficial even for those who had some knowledge
A very worthwhile 2 days and i will feel a lot more confident when i next start fault finding on a yacht,

Great content, great facilities, great instructor - what's not to like!
Comfortable learning environment, comprehensive material, students from a variety of backgrounds and a friendly inclusive approach all contributed to an excellent course.
Thanks
Alan, our instructor, is highly knowledgeable, dynamic, and enthusiastic. He made a long and challenging course an engaging and rewarding experience.
Great cause, well experienced instructors, loads of practical experience and exercises.
Advanced Powerboat Instructors Course. Another excellent course, delivered by Doug. Pitched at the right level for the students on the course and delivering what we needed to know to become effective instructors, based on his obviously extensive experience.
The trainer was very relaxed and happy to cover topics not necessarily on the curriculum which was useful. Fault finding live engine issues was great practice. Plenty of hands on.
Great group of people and really enjoyed the course. Learnt loads. Good mixture of class based and water based content.
This is one of the best 12 Volt Electrical courses I have attended. It was very hands-on and not overly theoretical or jargon-heavy. It was also paced at varying levels, so no one was held back. If you are looking to do a 12-volt course, Chieftain training should be your first choice.
Powerboat Instructor course and First Aid : very competent Instructors, very helpful and professional. Highly recommended.
I completed the six day boat maintenance course. I had previous experience but no formal training. This course provided a good basic foundation filling in gaps of my knowledge and expanding it so I will have more confidence in my general maintenance and problem solving ability. The centre is well equipped and instructors knowledgeable and enthusiastic in their subject. Very much recommended.
