Using Chapter Law for our first house sale ever after 41 years went extremely well and Sahlia Ali did a brilliant job working for and with us explaining everything we needed to know and do. I would definitely use and recommend this company.

I had to change solicitor part wat through the process due to unforeseeable circumstances. The change over saw an efficient purchase of my house, my new solicitor was proactive throughout the process. Dealt with all my queries no matter how trivial thy might have been with the same professionalism throughout and without making me feel like an idiot. Would be a 5* rating if I had my last solicitor from the outset- and would have probably saved the stamp duty by completing before the 1st April.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Chapter Law, especially Cameron and the ladies who guided my brother and me through the sale of our late grandmother’s home. We have worked with several solicitors in the past but this experience truly stood out. From start to finish the process was seamless, professional and handled with genuine care. Our estate agents recommended you and we are so glad they did. We will definitely be passing that recommendation on to our friends and family.

Other than this I found the lack of communication very frustrating. House sales and purchasing are so stressful and even if solicitors are busy it only takes a minute to delegate to a secretary or receptionist to make a call to clients.
I feel this aspect of client care really lets the firm down.
My estate agent was called with updates rather than myself which always seemed odd as I was paying for this service.

I used Chapter Law for my house purchase and I would not recommend. Replies were slow throughout the 8 month process. I had 3 different solicitors during this time. 2 left and I was not notified, and only found out through chasing. I became homeless for 6 weeks at the end of the process as a result of the poor service and communication from Chapter Law. This caused extreme stress which resulted in time off work.

I submitted an official complaint to a Director at Chapter Law, who assured me my complaint would be resolved within 28 days, if not sooner, as a result of the 'extent of the issues I had raised'. This was nearly 4 months ago, and I have not heard back since despite numerous attempts to chase.

I would not recommend unless you are happy to be ignored and have a lot of money taken for a service well below expecations.

My experience with chapter Law.is mixed, lack of communication at first ,no reply to emails ,it was really frustrating until the star that is Beth hodson took over .kept in touch every day got the sale and purchase moving quickly with no problems, if i was to do this again I would only do it with Beth in charge . Change the experience from 0 to 5 stars .

We were the third party in a four-property chain, with Chapter Law acting on behalf of the first-time buyers at the beginning of the chain. To be fair, this was a particularly busy time across the conveyancing industry, with many transactions aiming to complete ahead of the impending stamp duty increase.

In January, the final party in the chain took the initiative to write directly to all solicitors involved, clearly stating that, in order to avoid the increased stamp duty, completion would need to take place no later than 24th March. This urgency was compounded by their relocation from the Redditch to Scotland and the need to secure a removal company in time.

All solicitors in the chain acknowledged the deadline and made efforts to work towards it except Chapter Law. Despite multiple attempts over the months to engage them, Chapter Law repeatedly failed to respond to emails from other solicitors and showed little willingness to cooperate or contribute meaningfully to the progression of the chain.

Several estate agents, including AP Morgan Estate Agents, who themselves promote Chapter Law tried unsuccessfully to make contact. Frustrations were openly shared by AP Morgan staff, who admitted to difficulties in communicating with Chapter Law and expressed their limited ability to influence the situation.

In a final effort to escalate the matter, I visited Chapter Law’s Redditch office in person. I made it clear I was not seeking legal advice but simply urging them to respond to the outstanding correspondence from fellow solicitors. I was dismissed on the basis that I was “not their client” and entirely missing of the point, given that their lack of cooperation was holding up the entire chain and risking financial penalties for all involved, including their own client.

In the end, every party in the chain except Chapter Law was ready to exchange and complete well ahead of the deadline. Due to their continued lack of communication and inaction, the transaction missed the stamp duty cut-off, resulting in avoidable additional costs for every buyer in the chain including Chapter Laws own client.

Jennie Smith at Chapter Law Redditch has been an absolute star guiding and supporting us through the initial stages of a difficult property conveyance. There being six of us spread across the UK selling the property, this didn't phase her at all acting pleasantly and professionally throughout - well done. It's now passed to the legal team to do their thing, fingers crossed they will also do as well.

The team at Chapter Law are stars, with Andrena being particularly bright & guiding. Despite our impending deadline, the team remained diligent and calm and ensured that it was easy to share/upload any documents. Our sale/purchase was completed on time. All queries were responded to, and they pursued any outstanding items with vigour. We would absolutely recommend Chapter Law to anyone in need.

Although a little tricky to get a hold of for the first few weeks, once we got further into the process, Aamna was great with direct communication (via phone), quick on responding with our agreed actions to move forward and progressed things as quick as she could, with much patience, to move things along for exchange and completion.
