Impac Mortgage Corp. DBA Cashcall Mortgage
One City Blvd, West Suite 200
Orange, Ca 92868

My recent consultation and refinance experience with Impac Mortgage corp. DBA Cashcall started out surprisingly easy.
The sales rep Leonard Sanchez seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. I was consolidating high interest credit card debt. I had a very low interest equity line as well. I was telling Leonard my concerns and he explained the options. He also recommended paying off my equity line in the refi, freeing up my credit and it would help my credit score and at some time in the future I could refi again at a better interest rate. I told him how important it was to have my credit remain open. He assured me they were not asking to close any of my accounts just paying them off. I told him again, with my business, it was imperative to have all my credit options remain open. I did not read every line or word in the 30 some pages of closing documents that I had signed. I was misled and misinformed of the closing details. They referenced “paying off” my debt. I was not informed that “paying off” and equity line would mean that it would be closed. Subordination was mentioned only after the pay-offs. I found out a few days after funding that my HELOC was closed.
I contacted Bank of the west who had my equity line and explained that the new mortgage lender had it closed without my authorization. I spoke to Leonard who assured me that they would rectify the situation and get back to me. He first returned call took days to return. With several apologies, He said he was working on it but again would rectify it.
I again called Bank of the West they said it wasn’t closed as of yet but it was suspended. They assured me that it was no big deal and I asked what exactly subordination meant. They explained that they were in second position. It could be reopened if Impac Mortgage corp. DBA Cashcall would write a letter stating they were alright with me having the equity line remain open but there was a time frame.
After several messages and emails, I was able to explain to Leonard what they had said. He again said they would do whatever it took to rectify. I gave him a couple of days with no return calls and then I started leaving him messages and emails. I even emailed the woman that did the escrow papers Tiffany Ramirez. I explain the situation and threatened legal advice if they didn’t get back to me ASAP. Her returned email gave me his supervisor’s number and email address.
That same day I received a phone call from a Kevin Lenart, stating he was a supervisor and would be handling it. He also promised that he would get the situation rectified and understood the misunderstanding. He told me he had listened to the recorded tapes and that I had not mentioned the equity line when I was referencing my debt only my credit cards. After all, I had asked Leonard in the first few conversations. I trusted him to guide me through the process that he made sound so easy and simple. I again explained that they just needed to fax a letter to Bank of the west. He told me they would do whatever it took to get my line of credit re-opened and/or he would help me get a new equity line. He said he would call a few people he knew and would pay any cost that would accrue by me reapplying. I made it very clear that with my financial situation, I would not be able to qualify for a new line of credit. I wouldn’t have even had to use Cashcall and pay a higher mortgage rate if I could have gone a different direction. I explained to him what Bank of the west had said and ask him to please call them. Which he did, we then did a back and forth three way conversation with Bank of the west. He asked for their fax number, and speak with someone in their back room and would call me in one hour. That day and for over a week I left 2 - 3 phone messages a day with Kevin Lenart and Leonard Sanchez, as well as emails. I never heard back from anyone at Cashcall. My calls started going straight to their voice mails. I feel they blocked my numbers.
Time had run out, my very low interest equity line was closed and nothing more can be done, but possibly reapply at some point with a much higher interest rate.
I know what customer service is all about; I have been in retail for over 40 years. I’ve never been more abandoned with such an important issue in my life. They quickly sold me the package and took my money. They made it sound so easy and simple. In my world a happy customer might tell one person but a very unhappy disgruntled customer tells everyone they speak to. I hope I can refinance in the next six months. I would never use or recommend Impac Mortgage corp. dba Cashcall again.

Was a nightmare from start to finish

Was a nightmare from start to finish! Delay after delay....had to submit the same information numerous times. Told us "we should close next week" for about 3 months, and only finalized after I made a formal complaint to the CA business oversight commission.
Never again. As soon as I can re-finance with another company, will do, even if I have to pay a higher rate.

I had nothing but problems with getting …

I had nothing but problems with getting my loan to go though. They also said in their advertising no closing costs but I ended up paying almost $6,000.00 in closing costs It seemed no one knew what was going on and I was tossed to so many people I got to the point where I had no idea what was going on. VERY disappointing company. I would not recommend them to anyone

Awesome Service!

Our loan representative (Dat) and loan processor (Sara) were awesome. They were patient and always professional. If we have any future loan related needs, we would definitely be happy to work with Dat and Sara again!

Recently refinanced my house

Recently refinanced my house. While everyone else told me "no" because of my credit, Cash Call said yes but my apr is high a 4.99% percent. It started out smooth but then took a turn when I started working with my loan officer Anthony DiGiorno. Communication was horrible. I was told one thing and then at the end, another happened. I signed my docs for 1400 payment and got a statement for 1800. Honestly, i regret refinancing with them. I am waiting until my credit score goes up to refinance with another company. Not happy at all with this company.

our only contact jeff porter didn't …

our only contact jeff porter didn't return calls said it wasn't his job to answer our questions.that his job was only to get us the best deal, he said it was so and so's job who we couldn't get ahold of. our notary girl was great answered all our question. we were going to go somewhere else till we talked to her. Also, our refinance was supposed to be final on around the 15th, there was something very minor to be done and no one called us till the 29th. so instead of 45 days with no payments, we got 30.
you should hire the notary girl

I hope this gets read

I hope this gets read. Almost a year ago i secured a mortgage through cashcall. I was told i was locked in on a interest rate. Exchanged many texts and emails about this. The person who said it was locked was fired and i was stuck with a higher interest rate. I am considering a attorney because it was unethical.

Also i have never received any coupon books, thank you's or documentes eluding to we do business. Bizarre.

Refi Newbies

We had never refi'd before and were not made aware that the Escrow could be added during the loan process. We are now having to set this up on our own and is not a simple process. Would be great to have had the option up front.

Would have also appreciated better communication.
