Agreed to purchase my car via Motorway at an agreed price and then when it came to the collection day, they made things up about my car saying things needed renewing on the car like brake disks when there was nothing wrong with them and even the guy collecting said there was nothing wrong with them and they are just trying it on to chip the price. Really poor form and not to be trusted.

Beware if selling car to cargem via online auctions
They bid and you accept the price then they phone you and make excuses to lower the offer. Even with a car that had extended warranty and full service history with main dealer. State gunk in oil cap, rubbish. Refused to sell as they only offered same as main dealer part ex. Then 5 minutes later excuse of can use an insurance policy and offer full price. Would never deal with them again especially as I was told I was being rude! Just because I said pay full price or forget it. They obviously don’t like women standing up to them and not agreeing to drop price

Initially the process was smooth; Annyl was helpful with details before I arrived. He seemed genuinely keen that I should get preferable concern given the distance I was coming to purchase a car.
Upon arrival, I was given a quick look at the vehicle in the car park and at first glance there wasn't anything untoward. He told me there had been lots of interest following my paying the deposit and as far as he was aware, the vehicle had only recently arrived at Cargem. This latter point was clearly rubbish, as Cargem had carried out a service in July. It was also out of tax since mid 2024. Annyl didn't seem to know much about the vehicle itself, but perhaps that was just me being picky.
I was immediately offered extended RAC warranty which Annyl wanted to 'discount' given the long distance I'd travelled. I agreed a price, but wasn't furnished with all the T&Cs, which is remiss of me. I've now got a very expensive and potentially useless policy (I must have the vehicle serviced by them, which isn't convenient; I'm over 400 miles away). I could have purchased seperate warranty elsewhere at a fraction of the cost charged by Cargem, despite their 'discount.' This is perhaps the most disappointing part of the day. Potential future buyers should definitely take note.
I was unable to tax the vehicle due to a classification change, but this wasn't pointed out until I was almost ready to leave. Because I'd travelled far, the post office was closed, so I had to wait until the following day to drive away.
After I returned home, I discovered several areas of mould throughout the cabin (evidently from not being driven in 15 months and likely having been exposed to damp). This could not have been seen when I first arrived, as it was already dark. At my own expense, I've had the car deep cleaned; not what I'd expect buying from a 'reputable' dealer. I enquired about a remuneration from Cargem, but that request has been ignored, nor is it covered by the extended warranty policy. In fact, after I drove away, getting responses from the company has been very hard; messages are being read, but not replied to.
This is my first purchase from a second hand car dealership; each time previously I've gone to a manufacturer garage, and the difference in service is very clear. I shan't be using Cargem again and what I experienced fell short of previous purchases.

I sold a car to them through Motorway. The guy that collected the car said to leave the V5C blank. I’m regretting this as I have received multiple fines before I could advise the DVLA which I have once I received the first fine. Avoid this company .

I recently interviewed for a Digital Content Creator / Presenter role here. The interview itself was fine, but the hiring process was severely lacking in basic professionalism.
I was given a specific timeline to hear back by a certain date. That date came and went with no communication. A full week later, I've still heard nothing, not even a rejection email.
When a company can't extend the basic courtesy of following through on its own timeline with candidates, it raises serious questions about its internal organisation and respect for people. I would caution other professionals about engaging with their hiring process.
Michael was very helpful in purchasing our BMW X3. He was knowledgeable on his trade & tried to get us the best possible deal. Thanks for making the process easy for us to get our dream car!
Alex has been extremely helpful for us to make a decision on our car puchase. Thank you.
Brought a car from these clowns at beginning of November. Initially I pre booked to view a Kia sportage with jahid.
I was told they lost the log book due to them moving sites which seemed a bit off. When I arrived to test drive the car I was told they had also lost the key to their barrier so I could only drive around their car park. Which I later found out to be a lie due to hiding a fault with the gearbox synchromesh on gear 6, but I’ll get to that later.
After being happy with the small drive and the condition of the car I proceeded with buying. A week later after being told it was ready to pick up I arrived to be told it’s got a fresh MOT but has no tax due to them not having the log book so they insisted I take a V62 form which they filled out for me to bring to the post office to tax it myself. I hesitated but stupidly agreed. And the next day when I went to tax it I found out they left the previous owner post code blank so was unable to tax it, now I’m left unable to drive the car… the whole day I was chasing them up and they had to contact the previous owner to get the V6 reference for me to use to tax it. After I had to pay for a taxi to and from work as I had to leave my car at home that day.
Then I discover the fault on the gearbox and find out it needed repairs which they agree to do, I had only had the car 4 days at this point. I was told I’d have to travel back to their site which is 2hrs away. But no courtesy car! Which after a brief complaint I managed to get them to lend me one of their staff cars… so in return for my sportage they lent me a smart car.. not so practical for my growing family… but it’s only a week it’ll be gone they said, that turned into 3 and a half weeks of non existent customer service… An after service phone number that never gets answered, must have called 25 times one day and nothing, just pot luck, otherwise you get through to the always full up voicemail. But they did call me back to tell me about a speeding ticket I apparently got on the day I picked the car up, only to find out it was one of their staff driving my car to and from its MOT appointment and they’ve tried swanning it off onto me! 12:32 it was stung by a camera they told me.. when I didn’t arrive until 14:40, nice to also know they’re driving customers cars respectfully!
And then when they eventually call me to say it’ll be ready the next Friday, they ask if they can use my warranty to claim back money from the parts they got for the gearbox. From the fault on the car they should’ve had fixed before selling it! After telling them NO… I soon got an email thanking me for letting them use it so I had to then call back and insist they DON’T use it and send me a email in writing explaining this.
So far I have had my car back 2 days and am starting to question if they’ve even serviced the car like they told me, will be getting it inspected and will be taking legal action if I find out they haven’t as they’ve recorded the service in the service record book for the car.
Also jahid didn’t know a a thing about the car he was show in me, every question he had no clue.
Just avoid this place it’s more hassle than it’s worth! You’ll probably find the good reviews aren’t legit…
My daughter was looking for a new car to replace her Fiat 500. We found a great looking Audi A1 at Cargem and made a call to ask about the vehicle. I spoke with Abu who ran me through the whole process and explained the car was currently being prepared, MOT’d and serviced. Abu set up a WhatsApp chat and kept me updated every few days and then called to say the car would be ready for viewing in a few days. From the moment I arrived at Cargem I was comfortable, the offices were clean and the staff were friendly. Abu offeeed me a drink and then we looked at the Audi, took it out for a drive and then went through the sales and warranty process.
The vehicles paperwork was provided and all the figures were completely transparent on the screen which Abu turned so I could see.
The experience of dealing with Abu from the first call to me collecting the Audi today was an absolute pleasure with no sales pressure.
Abu even messaged earlier this evening to ask how my Daughter reacted when we gave her the car as I’d mentioned it was a surprise for her - great attention to detail.
Abu was a delight to deal with and I highly recommend speaking with him and the team at Cargem about your vehicle requirements.
I recently purchased a vehicle from this car company and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Annyl a senior sales executive was very kind, friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Recommend this car company.
I purchased a BMW from Cargem in November after seeing it on AutoTrader. Initially, communication via WhatsApp was quick and straightforward. When I arrived to view the car, Jahid only offered a quick test drive around the car park, and I had to insist on a proper road test. During the viewing, it also became clear that Jahid did not appear to know much about this specific car when I asked him questions, and he seemed more interested in taking personal calls while I was trying to sort the paperwork with him. The vehicle itself was faultless and accurately described.
I proceeded with a finance agreement and a £1700 RAC Platinum warranty, although the terms and conditions were not fully explained to me at the time. I decided to cancel the warranty less than a week after purchasing the car. The sales manager, James, initially said he didn’t know how to process a cancellation and claimed no customer had ever asked before. He later said he did know, and that the refund would take 7–10 days.
I have since seen online that my warranty policy has been cancelled, yet no refund has been issued by Cargem. Despite multiple messages, emails, and phone calls, I’ve been completely ignored by the sales staff and still have not received any acknowledgement or explanation.
This level of customer service is completely unacceptable. I have sought independent advice, and given that Cargem has cancelled the warranty but failed to refund the money paid, I will now be looking to take legal action to recover the cost of the warranty.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Cargem.
Oh dear I was thinking about traveling all the way from Hampshire to view a car , not now I've read the reviews . And the car I was looking at as been sat for almost 6 months in there compound. Never mind I will go nearer to home .
Great Sales, Extremely Poor Aftercare
I purchased a car from Cargem in May 2025, complete with a 3-year warranty. Unfortunately, within 24 hours of ownership the engine management light came on. I contacted the company and was told to reach out to their warranty provider, which I was happy to do.
The car was booked into an approved garage seven days later, the fault was diagnosed and supposedly repaired. However, on the 4-mile drive home, the EML came back on. I contacted the repairer directly and arranged for the car to go back in the following week.
This pattern has continued for six months. Every few weeks the car returns to the garage due to failing sensors, all of which stem from what has now been identified as a faulty timing chain.
For the past four months, I have repeatedly tried to contact Cargem’s after-sales team by phone. Every time, I reach an answering machine that is permanently full, meaning I cannot leave a message. I have emailed multiple times requesting communication, but have never received a response.
On 18 November, I finally reached someone by going through the admin and sales teams. I was assured I would receive a call back later the same day to discuss the ongoing issues and possible solutions. It is now 21 November, and I still haven’t received any contact.
The sales process was quick and polite, but the aftercare has been severely lacking. I’m sharing this review in the hope it helps other buyers make an informed choice—and in the hope that Cargem might finally address the ongoing issues with my vehicle.
Purchase of a car was totally chaotic, went to pickup a new car, arranged a time, got there and they were pumping up the tyres, salesman said they always put fresh air in the tyres !!!, turned out it was a puncture, I can't really trust this organisation
