Same- FRAUD

Same, waiting for my money back, cancelled 8 days ago, hotel does not have my booking- hoping it is just taking longer than expected. I will call my credit card company if necessary.

No integrity in this world.

Not only did company stop operations during Covid-19, they proactively called and cancelled my reservation and withdrew the deposit before closing their doors, taking my $2,400 with it, and my reservation was cancelled and no more are available for the dates I need, so my trip is ruined.

Contact your credit card company

For everyone who’s been ripped off by this company, please contact your credit card provider and request a chargeback. It’s not fast, the process can take 6-8 weeks, but you’ll be able to get your money back. I did.

AGENCY´S WORST SUPPORT

Avoid the COVID19, we cancelled a reservation we made through Cancelon webpage in The Las Islas Hotel at Baru. The Hotel told us that they refound the payment to Cancelon, but Cancelon´s support page is unable.... We still waiting a mail answering how they will procede.... No facebook answer, no support answer. Really dissapointed
Debido al COVID19, cancelamos la reserva que hicimos a través de la página Cancelon en el Hotel Las Islas, Baru. El Hotel respondió que devolvieron el pago a Cancelon, pero la "página de asistencia" no funciona. Estamos esparando una respuesta a nuestro mail explicando como procederán. No responden tampoco por facebook. Una decepción.

This is ridiculous

Do not give them your money!

Very unprofessional company. Hotels issued refunds to this company due to Shelter-in-Place order but Cancelon decides to pocket the money instead of giving the money back to its customers. I understand that reservations made through this company are nonrefundable BUT when hotels are issuing Cancelon refunds then they need to give the money back. It’s the honest and right thing to do.

SAME STORY HERE: CANCELLED MY RESERVATION< GOT THE MONEY AND DID NOT TRANSFER IS BACK TO MY CREDITCARD. THIEFS!
NOW MY CC company will chargeback hopefully.

CANCELON: They Scammers based in INDIA

HILTON has happily issued my Refund for 2 Nights Reservation.
Still a week later, no Credit to my account.
I am filing another complaint with FTC and Hilton Hotels for allowing these thugs to seat in the slums of India and scam people with bogus reservation.

ALL I NEED IS MY REFUND.
I WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE BANNED FOR BUSINESS IN THIS COUNTRY..

Seemed to have good reviews, but totally untrustworthy.

Like others complaining recently, I too had a booking canceled without notice or refund, and there is not even a smidgen of customer support. The trip was canceled (by cancelon) before it was confirmed with the hotel, so there is nothing the hotel can do for me. $623 GONE. Up yours Cancelon.

Thieves

Thieves! Our hotel refunded them the money. They closed up shop and stole our money. Crooked, dirty pile of sh!t company. Everyone should file a complaint with DE attorney general office.

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS TO DEAL WITH, NEVER AGAIN!

If I could give them no stars I would. We made a hotel reservation on 02/28/2020. They were paid $385.00. On 3/27/2020 we stopped at the hotel to see if we could extend our stay. They informed us that PRICELINE/CANCELON had cancelled our reservation on 03/25/2020. They, to this day never contacted us to say they did this. The phone #'s they provide to contact them-are automated-say that they cannot identify me by any of the phone #'s I give them or the reservation number as well! We are out of our jobs, now we are out of a place to stay, and the movers are coming today. This wasn't a vacation for us. it's a primary move intrastate. We are seniors on a fixed income and cannot afford to lose the money.

scam

Ni siquiera merecen una estrella, me robaron, hice una reservación y por esta situación del corona virus tuve que cancelar, nunca la cancelaron ey ahora el website ni siquiera aparece, me comunique al hotel y ellos no tenían ninguna reservación a mi nombre, esto no es lo peor, me hicieron el cargo a mi tarjeta dos veces. They don't even deserve a star, they stole me, I made a reservation and due to this situation of the corona virus I had to cancel, they never canceled it and now the website doesn't even appear, I contacted the hotel and they didn't have any reservation in my name, this was not it's the worst, I was charged to my card twice

Website shutdown. Money stolen

Website shutdown.
Contacted the hotel direct thinking that I would need to cancel direct with them since I have a fully refundable booking.
They advised they can cancel but they do not have the funds.
I don't know who is Cancelon and do not recall using them to make a booking...
Even if I was still travelling, it sounds to me that I would have rocked up at the hotel and they would have no room cause this company must be stealing the funds.

Horrible company

I booked a trip to Mexico in August. Our trip is now cancelled due to covid-19 so I contacted the company and they said they had to get into contact with the hotel to make sure they wouldn’t be charged before a refund is issued. To please allow 5-7 days. Today I check and their website is shut down. I call the hotel and they tell me my reservation was cancelled December 4th!!!!

Criminal Theft

Due to COVID-19 chaos, this company canceled my $322 USD hotel booking, along with all other bookings they had at the time, without my knowledge or approval, and never gave me my money back. They then shut down their website (cancelon.com), customer phone line, and any other form of communication. The hotel, Cancelon, nor Tripadvisor (shame on them, who hired Cancelon as a 3rd party booking merchant) also never notified me of this drastic change and informed me to talk to my bank to process a dispute & refund. Seems like Cancelon discreetly closed down their company and ran away with everyone's money. The owner Omer Granot and anyone involved with this theft must be held accountable for their actions.

The website currently says:
"Cease trading notification. Please note your bookings might be canceled due to the Covid19 outbreak. Dear Customer, we wish to inform you that your bookings via Cancelon may be canceled due to the global Covid19 outbreak. Since its founding, Cancelon has always strived to provide its customers with the best possible service and support, and the best value for money. Following the Covid19/Corona virus outbreak worldwide, the travel industry has taken a dramatic and unprecedented hit, a result of mounting travel restrictions, border closings, and canceled trips. The effect of the Coronavirus on Cancelon is no different, and as such, we regrettably have no choice but to freeze all of our activities. If you have reserved hotel rooms via the Cancelon website, we recommend that you contact the hotel directly to verify their services and policies at this time. You can also contact your payment provider or your travel insurance agency. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during these trying times. Stay safe and healthy,

Horrible scam

Horrible scam! We booked a hotel in Thailand for our honeymoon. Now that all travel to Thailand has been banned, we went to Cancelon to see what we could do about adjusting our reservation. We were shocked to find that their website is completely shut down, with a message that essentially says 'Sorry, we're not here to help you - hope you have travel insurance!' I contacted the hotel we were meant to stay at and turns out our reservation had already been canceled, but the hotel had not yet received our payment, so could not refund us. So our reservation is canceled, Cancelon has our honeymoon money, and their virtual doors are completely closed. I am HORRIFIED that a company could treat its customers this way. What will happen to the people who spent all of their savings with Cancelon, and their reservations have now been canceled? Will we ever be refunded?

If I could give them a 0 star it would…

If I could give them a 0 star it would definitely be for this company. I got a room through them and when my order came back it said a double bed and I paid extra for a KING. I called them immediately and got to talk to someone they assured me even in an email that it was a king and not to worry. When the covid kicked off I called the hotel and the hotel said no you have a double. The hotel said we cant really help you because at this time they dont have any kings. I tried to email (no answer) the website is basically a covid message saying they have a rough time blah blah blah. SO basically I have a room that I paid extra for that sucks. I am extremely mad. They lied to me and if I get a chance I plan on getting them into court. DO NOT USE THIS FLY BY NIGHT TRAVEL AGENT

Cancelon made it impossible for me to cancel my reservation, despite the fine print stating that I can cancel for a full refund at any point within the next 3 weeks. Terrible scam.
