CanaDream RV - Vancouver Reviews 

All went smooth, quick and uncomplicated. Friendly, helpfull staff. RV in perfect condition.

Hi. The van was perfect, staff friendly and helpful, check-in and out easy and convenient.

Some comments:
1. the pick up/drop off time thing was unexpected. I thought I was booking to pick up at 1pm drop off at 1 pm. Maybe it's in the small print? I don't know, I was busy getting ready to travel and didn't read much small print. It would be really helpful if you could flag this in advance.

We ended up with an 8.30 am return. We felt a bit cheated. 8.30 am is a very inconvenient time to return a van on the last day of a holiday. This means either camping near your base (in Vancouver), which is in an industrial area...not good camping; or getting up very early. It just didn't work. We returned it late (before 10 am) and your staff were nice about it, but it was unwanted stress. Also, if I collect a hire car at 1pm, I return it at 1pm. With the van we picked up at 2pm and returned it 8.30am...that means I feel like I paid for 5.5 hours that I never got. I appreciate this is all about turnaround and so on, but that isn't my problem, it's yours. In effect I feel like I paid Canadream to turn the van around for the next customer. Overall: it made for a bad customer experience. This is enough to mean that next time I will look at other companies to see if I can get a better pick up/drop off experience.

2. Minor but annoying: the smoke detector was very sensitive. Every time we cooked we removed it. This is not good. And first time it was a terrible shock. And, yes, we did all the ventilation, fans and so on, but still the alarm went off when we made a cup of tea.

Other than that: it was great.

Easy pick-up, friendly staff and the RV was brand-new.

We had 84 days in our RV which was perfect for our needs. The whole experience from enquiry to booking to returning the vehicle was seemless. Staff were extremely helpful and the info and videos made things easy. Thank you Canadream!

Pick-up and drop-off was easy.
We rented a deluxe van and it was in generally good condition. We did have some issues requiring repair, and support from Canadream in arranging timely repairs enroute was excellent.

everything worked out perfect… we had a flat tire and they helped us immediatly to have it fixed. thanks for making pur holiday kind of perfect?!

Clear and timely communication leading up to the rental. Smooth pick up and drop off.

The RV we rented was very dirty, I had to clean out before we went on our trip. I also cleaned it and sent it back in better condition than it was when we got it when we got back from our trip the shower and you can also tell that the front windshield had leaked at one time because of the big water stain on the headliner above the driver I’m passenger seats. Customer service here is a bit of a confusion not one person knows what the other person is talking about. It seems very juvenile blankets were very stiff. I’m not comfortable to sleep in. We do not recommend renting an RV that has a split mattress or a slide out where the bed is. We also noticed a mildew smell or maybe mould smell couldn’t quite track it down. We notified the customer service desk when we dropped off the RV and they had nothing to say about it. We were also half an hour late due to traffic on our way out to drop the RV off and they wanted to charge us $150 after we had spent $10,000 on and Rv and had these issues.

Really nice RV with all we needed and easy to operate. The mattress was a bit worn and left us both lying in the middle at night. The check in took ages despite having done the online check in required. Everything happened in slow motion with the assigned employee. Returning the RV went really smooth though. Despite the check in we were very happy with everything and would be happy to use CanaDream again.

With a useable sunshade or even the option to use it and more than each 3 pieces cutlery it woud have been a 5 star rating.

We booked 2 RV's for a party of 7 adults booking via TravelHome / En Route). Online check in takes a lot of time so the pick up time for both RV's were different. I called to change the time to the same time.. This was not possible as it was very busy on the pick up date. Fine, but show some client friendliness and understanding.. The customer service employee was a not very understanding unfortunately. In the end both parties could check in at the same time(45 and 15 min later than booked time). Check in and explanation RV etc was very different for both. Party 1 (the easy RV with explainations online and in book) check in took a very long time (45 min) , Party 2 check in (a new type of RV was done in half the time ?, and therefor some issues with hot water.

The RV for party 1 missed 2 camping chairs. We sent an email about this and got the purchase of 2 chairs refunded. Due to the short explanation for the RV for driver 2 (a new model RV) we had troubles getting the hot water fixed. Explanation in the book or online is for other model RV's . We had to call and mail your customer services various times (thankfully we had an eSim for Canada otherwise it would have cost us quit a bit) but were eventually very adequately helped.

Please update your online explanation and also the printed version with regards to your new RV model. It took us and your help desk a long time to figure out what the reason was for no hot water...

The third driver for the large RV was charged unfortunately, but we did get it refunded when returning the RV. The RV for Me (name blanked out) missed an fitted under sheet for the 5th bed. We did report that via mail. No refund nor reaction

Cleanliness of RV at pickup was fine.

You were very easy about being 10-15 min late for the time handing in the RV. Check in controls of borg Rv's were easy and client friendly. Thank you.

We had a fantastic time with our CanaDream RV (SCV). Both the pick-up and the drop-off were simple, smooth, and completed very quickly.

The RV itself was perfect for the two of us and offered more than enough space—not only in terms of storage, but also for moving around comfortably, especially with the slide-out extended. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well throughout the trip.

During our three-week journey (Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Whistler, Wells Gray, Jasper, Banff, Calgary, Revelstoke, and back to Vancouver), we didn't experience any issues at all, so we never had to use the roadside assistance service.

There are just a few small things that would have made our CanaDream experience absolutely perfect:

1. We rented the lawn chairs as an extra. It would be very convenient if a small camping table were included with the chairs, so there would be somewhere to put food, drinks, card games, etc.
2. We also rented the coffee maker, but unfortunately the supply of coffee filters only lasted for a few days (even though we only made coffee in the mornings). It's easy enough to buy coffee filters at a supermarket, but since they are only sold in packs of 100, we had to throw the remaining filters away at the end of our trip because we had no use for them back home. It would be great if the number of coffee filters provided at least matched the number of days the RV is rented.
3. The broom in our RV was already quite worn out. Sometimes it shed more bristles while sweeping than it actually picked up dirt.

These were only minor issues, though. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience and would happily recommend CanaDream to anyone planning an RV trip through Canada.

Everything worked perfectly. The car was new, the „camptop“ an old one.
The crew was very friendly.

Everything was nicely organized. The team was very flexible and we got our RV early before the scheduled pickup time. RV was very clean and almost brand new. Features of the RV were explained very well by the CanaDream-team.
All in all a very pleasent experience.

1. The Vancouver pickup in Delta is too far from public transport and it is not straight forward to get to and from the airport to Delta.
2. The loyalty discount card was not valid, and we had to pay the full amount for petrol everywhere.
3. The van did not come with blackout curtains for the rear windows, so anyone could see in if the interior lights were on. OK if the lights are off, but changing clothes in the van, well, there is no privacy unless the van was backed up against a wall or hedge or the like.
4. Not being able to use the awning was a real let down as in some areas it was really hot and the van really heated up to the point where the AC unit did not cool the van down sufficiently.
5. In the places that it was cold, the heater didn't work. At best it blew cool air.

All the service staff were very friendly. The handover and return went smoothly. The RV was in good, clean condition upon pickup. Any defects were conscientiously documented. We would rent an RV from Canadream again anytime. Many thanks for the wonderful and positive experience with Canadream.

Hired a 31 foot RV with a king sized rear bed only supplied with double sized bedding. Also could not use the on board shower due to leaking across the habitation floor in front of the kitchen. Several other minor issues not expected with a RV that only had 6000 miles on the clock. Canadream response, buy extra bedding and claim back! Didn’t report shower leak until our return along with other minor issues, as we wanted to enjoy our trip shore and minor issues fell on deaf ears, our experience with Canadream was disappointing to say the least.

Good, clean, modern, full of amenities vehicle, but I would have even had paid extra insurance for the ability to be able to use the included but disabled awning. Also would have been better to have included a folding table to go with rented chairs and a small bbq to cook outside.

Fantastic experience! Punctuality, cleanliness, and ease of booking and use. Recommended.
