Every Nero store is the same
Normally I don't leave a comment on here but as the customer service are not responding to email, there is little choice
The state of the Nero toilets in the Royal Victoria Tunbridge Wells branch on Sunday was horrendous.
General comment on my experience of all Nero branches now; extremely slow, service times for a coffee are a joke (irrespective of location), staff stressed and not enough of them to tidy anything.
You can see the private equity influence, maximise profit, strip costs to the bone, ignore service and hope customers don't notice or complain to much.
Sad case of a good brand gone bad!
Southampton Row branch
Went to Southampton Row branch on 2nd Jan. Dead no one in site. After making my cappuccino in a paper cup, which I replied I want to sit in & would like a proper cup. Then I was informed, the dishwasher is broken. WHAT HAPPENED TO USING YOUR HANDS. Seriously no going the extra mile anymore. I left and went to Costa they served me in a proper cup.
Didsburry brunch- something goes wrong
It is for Cafe Nero Didsburry-Manchester
There are always problems either cafee machines do not work or any products (like cold drinks etc) not available. They seem not care about that and continue what they have all the days
Food and Drink is 1 out of 10
Sausage was cold, sticky toffee cheesecake was very bland and i would guess it is 3 days old. The coffee was not very strong, i expected a better flavour. The staff were not interested and pretended to not understand me very well. I gave up. Avoid Cafe Nero in Heathrow and spend your money elsewhere.
We love cobham - especially Adam!
We love the Cobham, Surrey branch for great customer service - especially our favourite - Adam - who greets all customers as if they’re his best friend … such a ray of sunshine!!!
Comfortable seating overall, dog friendly so great community feel, good range of cakes and sandwiches … do wish there were some healthier options too like salads.

Went in Banbury cafe Nero stood in the queue this the 3rd same staff member was rude and shouted at me
Externally bad service
What a shambles
What a shambles. Just been in the Cambridge Center Cafe Nero. 30mins to get served only 10 people in there. Brought buns and paid for them and by the time they bothered to serve it they had sold it to some one else. I had to sand there and watch them do it. It’s dirty and absolutely a mess. You really should sort this place out and get some staff that know what they are doing!!!
Full of dossing students
Always the same in Cafe Nero. Full of students dossing and, very often, each of them taking up a table for 4. Many of them also have the cheek to bring in their own drinks or make one Nero drink last all day. Can't the managers see the amount of would be genuine customers that have to walk away to find another cafe.
The present Manager is totally incompetent
The present Manager of the Macclesfield branch is totally incompetent, unable to make a decent cup of coffee or to keep the store clean. It's a shame as under previous Management the place was well run. The company really needs to ensure that their Managers are capable of delivering positive customer service.

Filth-ridden toilets that never seem to get cleaned. A public toilet on the M5 is cleaner.
The whole establishment oozes 'we couldn't give a toss about you as a customer'. Luke warm service to the terrible dirty cafe.
How any CEO can be proud of that is beyond me.
Belfast branch
Belfast branch. Beware of stale cakes and half filled with foam lattes. I won't be returning.
George street Croydon
Please ask the woman on the early 7am shift in George street Croydon to put a smile on her face. She’s the least welcoming person. I’ll visit Starbucks tomorrow. I don’t need her negative energy to start my working day. The way she speaks to customers too, like an angry school ma’am. KMT
Poor Customer Service and Dirty Café
I went for a coffee with a friend, who only had a £50 note that she had just withdrawn from the bank. When we went to pay, we were refused and informed that Café Nero does not accept £50 notes. My friend is older, mainly uses cash, and has never had an issue paying with bank-issued notes before. As the money is legal tender, there was no clear reason given for refusing it.
The staff member serving us was completely unhelpful in explaining why this policy exists. She was difficult to hear and displayed little professionalism when responding to our questions. The café on Watford High Street also appeared unclean, with uncleared tables and poorly trained staff. Adding the refusal to accept valid currency made the experience even more disappointing.
Needless to say, we won’t be returning to Café Nero in the future. If they want to keep customers, they need to offer better courtesy and ensure their staff are properly trained and competent in their roles and provide a clean and updated Café.

Cafe Nero opened in Balham
Since Cafe Nero opened in Balham I have visited the shop on a regular basis - there are alot of coffee shops on the high street but one thing that has always stood out is the staff. Obviously I go there on a regular basis but they always remember your drink, are polite and they have created a wonderful community vibe. Special shout out to Kasper the manager, Marjena who used to run the shop and Qi Qi who makes an excellent mocha - she is the kindest most gentle individual. A joy to meet when you are buying your morning coffee.
Too slow!!
Too slow!!! Every time I come the queue is huge but also takes forever to get served. The obly reason I gonis to get a free coffee but honestly it doesn’t even feel like a free coffee is worth it.
Always a friendly service
Always a friendly service, quick with a personal touch. Best cortados bar far.
dirtiest cafe in Bath
this cafe Nero in Bath centre is the dirtiest cafe i have ever been in - the toilets look like they hadn’t been cleaned for a year, the tiles on the floor are cracked and they smelled like a urinal with the dirt of ages around the cistern and bits of toilet tissue on the floor. The floors in the seating areas were the same.
If you have a cleaner you should get a new one !
