Terrible App Service
The coffee is good in the cafe, however, the 1 star (I want to give negative star) is given to the app service provider.
Something wrong in my app and I have deleted my account. However, when I asked them for getting my offers back in the app, they have never replied my email for almost a month even I have asked them for several times in this month.
I want to re-register my account, nevertheless, it blocks me from doing that every single time. I have never experienced such terrible service before.
Woefully slow
Tired of going to Nero as they never have enough staff. In Lakeside today. Very long queue with two staff members working and another on his phone. Took 15 minutes to get coffee. The one in Billericay is always the same. Thankfully the one in Brentwood is well staffed and efficient.
Avoid Worthing Caffè Nero
Worthing Caffè Nero. I was last here in 2012 and the place looks like it’s not been cleaned since then. Upstairs was filthy and depressing. Smashed glass windows taped up, rusted window frames stains on walls in the stairwell. Generally filthy and to top it off a dirty cup. Avoid.
So surprised and disappointed. This branch needs to go to Ashford outlet and take a look around the Nero’s there. Come on Nero’s. WTF is going on.

Went for lunch on a busy friday. Only 1 staff member at the till point. Went to change my child’s nappy and changing table is broken
Cafe Nero at the top of tates avenue
Cafe Nero at the top of tates avenue - a girl that was working there last night was absolutely luvly, her customer service skills are absolutely brilliant and the rest of the staff are very good at their jobs too including the manager who is very pleasant, it’s definitely the best Cafe Nero. The coffee is really really nice, a really good cafe

The bun with cream was dry and the cream tasted old. When I tried to complain I got declined a new one because he was not the one making them. Never gonna set my foot inside that place anymore. Worst service ever. Even the pistachio latte tasted just water!
Excellent service every time
Excellent service every time. Hot and tasty coffee with a smile. Lovely team.
Gone downhill....
Caffe Nero used to be our 'go to' for a decent cup of coffee (hot chocolate for the good lady) and a light lunch or pastry. Since our last visit it has gone the way of many other branches as written about on here. tables with dirty crockery left on them, not wiped clean.
The good lady also visited the toilets which were very dirty too. And why do you always have to ask the staff for a paper napkin? Instead of employing small children they need to employ an older person with catering experience to manage the place!
We certainly won't be going there again.....
Terrible service no response to email in 3+ months
Terrible service. Ignored by customer service about a simple question ‘are pets allowed on furniture or not’. 3+ months and still no answer.
Account deleted, I won’t go to a place where animals are allowed to rub their backside all over seats and tables, as I’ve seen.
Where the Hot Chocolate isn't Hot
York Monks Cross, well on Friday 8 November 24 was serving probably when it shouldnt have been. The Hot Chocolate I chose was the Millionaire and cost nearly £5 served in the paper cup because there were no regular indoor cups left. This was fine because there were no seats left. Now I happen to normally watch Barrista's whilst making my drinks. I like to receive an order that is commensurate with what I pay for. On this occasion I was asked if I wanted the cream. I would not have ordered the Millionaire drink if I hadnt wanted the decadent taste of chocolate cream or the toppings clearly on display. It appears I got neither. I do offer allowances, in this case paper cup and cap. So I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary until we had left the shop expecting what I had paid for when I was extremely disappointed. The Hot Chocolate was tepid. Not even warm. It clearly did not have the Millionaire factor. Far from it. I paid nearly £5 for a drink that I was extremely unhappy about. Unluckily for me Im Disabled and could not have returned as I was in extreme pain. Would I chance going to Caffe Nero again. Dont unless you watch them like a hawk and taste the beverage before leaving the store and taking them to task if there is a problem with your order
Every week for ten years. Never seen me before.
Have been going to Caffe Nero in Newcastle every week for ten years (at least). I get the same drink every week. It’s been customised over the years but that was encouraged by the staff- to get a drink I could only get in Nero. Served in a small Milano glass which you can only get in Nero. I get it in the Hexham store too- when I walk in they offer straight away as my usual. I pass 5 coffee shops to get to SMP Nero.
Today the server refused to serve me the drink that I always order. This server has served me it before but when I mentioned that I was told they’d “never seen me before”. Ten years, every week- never seen me before. I went through a period on maternity leave where I went in every day. And I made a point of still going in every week even though I’m not in Newcastle as regularly as I used to be. Just awful and to be honest quite upsetting- this was my little hideout when I needed to get away from the office. But alas I’ll never set foot in that place again.
Disappointed
Come on train your staff.
No idea how to make a hot flat latte. Took it back and got a scolding flat watery one instead.

Once a week I make a point of visiting Cafe Nero at Charing X Road just before Shaftesbury Avenue at least once a week. Its basement replete with leather sofas and easy chairs makes it so welcome and warm, like a home from home. And a special mention for the staff who are the best you’ll find anywhere (special shoutout too for Ricardo!).
Simply tasty coffee
Simply tasty coffee. And also I usually take one of those coockies
Absolute ripoff prices for coffee
Absolute ripoff prices for coffee. Many Artisan coffee shops have better coffees at cheaper rates. Why are they not being SHUT DOWN!!!!
Good coffee, tired stores, flaky app
I go to lots of different branches, and find the service, food and coffee pretty good. The chain is let down by two things - most of the stores look a bit tired and like they could do with a deep clean. Some can get very busy but you then find it's caused by people using them as a home office, making one coffee last three hours.
The other slight negative is the app, which seems fairly flaky, particularly if you're combining different forms of payment for the same bill e.g. two different gift cards, or one gift card and one card payment. Support from Teya isn't great if you contact them. I've even had staff members tell me the app is known to be temperamental.
The recent withdrawal of loyalty stamps for customers using a discount code was a bit of a PR disaster, as Nero blamed it on the app which should "never have given the stamps in the first place" apparently.

My coffee cost over 4f but half my cup is milk fluff. Many time returns to the barister but its look the are learning like that. Its not 1f coffee we paying almost 5f so I respect to have full cup of coffe and milk not half cups of milk fluff
Lovely coffee and food but not enough comfy seating
I really like Nero’s but West Wickham and Oxted stores haven’t got enough comfy seating! Sitting in the gloom of the back under the cold air conditioning unit isn’t the best experience to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Love their mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini’s though 😊💜

I go into Cafe Nero in High Holborn London where I am served by Mira or a young Asian guy (I don’t know his name)
They are so friendly and welcoming. They remember my choice of drink ( Frappe mocha) every time and always have smiles on their faces. They are a great credit to your company so I thought I would share this with you. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for them both
