Absolutely zero stars for this SCAM SCAM SCAM China. Sooo disappointing, clothes unwearable, way below standard quality & not cheap, no way to return or a refund!!!! STAY AWAY FROM BYRON BAY Boutique. Biggest SCAM EVER ☹️☹️☹️

I ordered from Byron Bay Essentials - I believe this is the same organisation - same return policy and scam. Due to the reviews I read (unfortunately after I received the item), I complained about the quality, the lack of labels as per Australian Consumer law etc. They offered 15% discount - I declined and they then offered a 25% discount which I accepted due to the belief that after sending it back to China (at my cost) I was unlikely to ever receive a refund. After chasing them up and commencing a dispute with Papal, I finally received the refund. Not worth the hassle!

Absolute rubbish. They present as Australian but are overseas scammers, you will never get your money back. Just don’t.

Product returned in Dec as absolutely substandard. Was given an address to return product to…they even admit they gave me the wrong address to return the product to, back and forth emailing for almost 3 months to now see an email…..”last chance to buy before closing down” DON’T DO IT!!! You will NOT get a refund. They continually say “be assured we will process your return blah blah blah and nothing happens!!! First time ripped off and never to happen again!!!

Absolute scammers. Ordered a dress thinking it was an Australian company as advertised dress arrived and was absolute rubbish took me 3 weeks emailing trying to return, finally returned to china costing me more money it arrived in china ( able to track) then nothing. They said they couldn’t give a refund as they hadn’t received. Contacted PayPal and they refunded my money. I’m still out of pocket but have learnt a huge lesson. Buy nothing from shonky advertisers on FB

Made order - BIG MITAKE! Unfortunately I made the error of reading the reviews after placing the order. Immediately tried to cancel the order within an hour - told unable to cancel but can easily return items if unhappy.

The items are extremely poor quality, nothing like pics on website. Not clear that company is not in Australia, but in China.

Advised I would be returning items - tracked return. The package has been held in China customs since 20th Jan. Have been in contact with company daily requesting they contact customs to release items and they keep sending the same response - to contact Aus Post and that they will process return when they receive item. Going round in circles - have sent link and screenshot showing item is held in customs in China and they keep telling me the tracking number is incorrect and to check with Aus Post.

I have just discovered that the return address provided does not exist.

So disappointed , never again . Paid $60 for a shoes, apparently reduced. Extremely poor quality and I've just seen them on Temu for $12.

In January I purchased on sale for $64.95 a dress that was supposedly reduced by 50% making its original price $130. The dress is NOTHING like what was advertised. Instead of pastel Pink I have floor, instead of burnt Orange I have Fluro. The dress description made it sound like it was Linen/Cotton but it is cheap polyester. The sewing is atrocious and not hemmed anywhere. It is clearly out of a sweat shop and is NOT worth $5. I wouldn't give it to a person who needed clothes as it is so shoddy. The sizing for me is 14-16, the dress is voluminous and would fit a size 22! NO Phone number just email. I told them it was not what I ordered and wanted the address to return it within their GUARANTEED 90 Day return policy. They simply offered me a further 20% off as returning would cost me $26 to China! I told them I still wanted to return it for a full refund. They gave me such a long return address the Post Office had difficulty putting all the address down and had to edit it with the most important details. No guesses here! The item has now gone 'MISSING' and the tracking # has gone cold. I expect in some months the item will be returned to my home address. Very Very clever of them. I keep writing emails and they keep giving me the same answer. We can't do anything, please track your order. So now off to Fair Trading. I don't care about the money I just want to bring them down so no more people get hurt, and the sweat shop in China has to shut.

I ordered 2 tops on 10 January 2025 and on 13th February 2025 asked why I couldn't track my order. I was told it must have been lost as they couldn't see any tracking other than it was processed originally. I go an email apologies it will be sent as soon as possible. 7 days later still no tracking information. I have requested a full refund today. Very bad service and as the name suggested it was an Australian company and its not its based in China. The tops cost $129.90 so not cheap. Avoid this scam company. I am now lodging with pay pal for full refund.

Offered a 20% (refused) then 40% refund (refused) to keep item to reduce CO2 emissions from return postage. Really !! Then offered refund - postage back to China at my expense (refused).
Commenced a Paypal dispute and WON.

I wish l had of read the reviews before l purchased from this company. I thought it was based in Australia but no it is based in China. The dress l purchased is very poor quality and no labels at all. Going straight to the op shop. I'm one of many who have been deceived by these scammers.

Falsely advertised dress contained linen, but it doesn't. Dress is very poor quality. Nothing like their video or photos. They sent the wrong size too. Don't use them. They are not in Byron Bay either. Email replies seem to be very AI generated.

Do not purchase any item from these muppets absolute rip off. Ordered a size 8 received an XL it’s rubbish material and nothing like the ad on insta …they gave me 2 options for a return even though I have requested multiple times for my money back 1. You can choose to receive the correct size for just $9.90 and keep the current item you've received to help mitigate CO2 emissions and reduce packaging waste.
2. Alternatively, you can receive a 20% partial refund and keep the item as well.
On there site it clearly states 90 money back guarantee so not really sure what they are referring to so I have reminded them with my reply. Ideally I would love for my money to be refunded but clearly these are not honest people or a legitimate company I’m dealing with. My recommendation is BUYER BEWARE total SCAM!

1. This company is NOT based in Byron Bay (or Pahia, or Melbourne, or Rose Bay as their other duplicated websites all indicate).
2. I was sucked in as I knew one of the models and assumed quality product & genuine site. WRONG! AI is a wonderful thing and makes for very schmick looking websites with free delivery, today only, huge discounts offered (and then repeated every day). Red flag - no phone number.
3. Shocking quality of garments when the items did eventually arrive, not from down the road at Byron, but all from China some 3 weeks later. I wouldn't even let a dog sleep on the fabric used on these so called Byron-inspired designs. Gaping buttons (running down the front) and sizing for the Asian market.
4. Free shipping yes, but you have to pay for the returns and after reading other reviews of the excessive cost to China, thought I'd try for refund (and you get to keep the items (straight to Op Shop) - yes I got 25% of some $180 order (thankfully via PayPal, my only protection) however that's taken over 20 (demanding) emails and 6 weeks to happen! Lots of pleasant sounding (scripted) emails but days to actually provide the return details and the conditions (expensive shipping).
5. Entire operation appears to come out of Germany, CRUZ E- BUSINESS LIMITED with the workers no doubt in China - and return address given as Room 101, Science and Technology Building, Baoan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong

6. Clever operation, they still make $ by looking legimate and actually giving a small refund and obviously prey on the people who just give up so therefore they'll still be able to operate!
7. Next time, come to Trust Pilot first. Lesson learned.

I purchased 5 items from this site last September - none of which I could keep due to incorrect sizing, poor quality, colours totally different to website. Organized a refund and knew I was going to loose $70 (they will not give a 100% refund and I had to pay for return shipping). I have been tracking the refund thru Australia Post for 4 months - goods sat in Chinese Customs for 2 months, and this week I received the goods back to me with no explaination and no reply to my emails.

$500 worth of terrible items, poor sizing and crap quality. I paid an additional $60 registered mail to return them all as per the return policy, no refund and they will not reply to my emails.

The two dresses I ordered were awful. The material was poor. The quality was very poor. One of the garments was totally misrepresented. The tankini I ordered was poor quality, Terrible fit, no gusset.

I had to contact PayPal to get a refund for the dresses. The company represents it self as Australian but is Chinese and a nightmare to deal with. I'm still trying to negotiate a refund fir the tankini.
Definately will never purchase anything from them in the future and recommend you don't either
