This company is a scam.

This company is a scam.
Complete rip off
the product is absolutely poor crappy quality, not even worth $10
They sent the wrong colour and would not refund.
They will not refund wrong sizing.
Basically you cannot get your money back. The company takes forever to reply to emails, I guess you're lucky if they do reply.
The products they sell are in no way orthopaedic!
Do not buy from this scam company!

What a rip off

What a rip off. There are so many boots, in particular 2 pairs that are absolutely identical to the boots I bought from Temu ranging in price from $11 to $16!

The profit this company is making is disgusting.

I’m going to write as many reviews on different sites letting people know they can get them from Temu instead of paying hundreds.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, they are identical!

Beware of this scam!!

Ordered a pair of so called orthopedic boots. Very cheap plastic, toxic smell. item will tear at stitching. I sent video and photo to support how misleasing it was and bigger than normal us 10 size.
They claim that as a sale item I can not get my money refunded but have offered "free" goods to replace but have to pay shipping!
Sale policy can apply if they send genuine product, they sent cheap fake boots and expecting me to trust again.
4 emails back n forth, the amount of mental stress it has caused, they should refund triple the amount, but still unresolved.
They will close down soon.

Product took 14 days to arrive, fake items

Product took 14 days to arrive, by then I couldn't refund if I wanted to. The product is not as advertised, very cheap and uncomfortable, probably took 20 cents to make type of shoe.
My adult children were able to identify the website was dodgy and the shoes are intact not made or sent from Australia.....
Total waste of money

Beware Poor Quality and Not Australian

I bought 2 pairs of boots, they claim they are orthopaedic, workmanship is doggy, item will tear at stitching. I sent video and photo to support their unsuitability for my feet.
They claim that as a sale item I can not get my money refunded but have offered "free" goods to replace but have to pay shipping!
I have 5 emails in progress at the moment I'm sure the quality of all items will be of the same poor quality. Still unresolved

I wish I had thought to check reviews

Oh dear I've been scammed!!! I just received my parcel of several boots & a couple of cardigans $478 worth. Unfortunately none of the items look like the photos - the descriptions were very vague & I thought I was getting leather boots. The cardigans are gross & will not be wearing definitely not worth the $$ I paid.
I ordered a couple of extra items because I was sad that they had to close their business & thought I was helping them out to get rid of their stock.
Oh and they are NOT an Aussie company.
I'll be contacting Amex tmrw to start the process of a refund.
Update: got my money back from Amex - thank you & goods went straight into a clothing bin!
I noticed that this company is still trading & using same scam

SCAMMERS. Do not waste your money

I, like many reviewers on here have fell for these scammers. I paid $59 dollars for what was claimed as orthopaedic, leather ankle boots. What I received were unwearable nasty plastic boots like items. Numerous exchange of email for refund were refused on the basis of 'sale items' cannot be refunded. In the end I contacted my bank and after their investigation they have reimbursed me for my scammed purchase. Beware there's a genuine company called Luna, based in the US and they produce high quality footwear which many people have said as being more comfortable than Birkenstoke (spelling?)
I really want to report these scammers so others won't fall victims. I will try to reach out to Consummer Affair Victoria and see if they could shut them down.

If l could give no stars👎🏻

I found out the hard way what a scam this company is running. They offer 50% off as they are closing down, which is an outright lie. I wish l had read the reviews before purchasing, but that's on me. I ordered 2 pair of boots for $118 which seemed reasonable for soft leather orthopaedic boots size 6½ (37). One pair was passable but not very comfortable but the other pair was so disgusting l wouldn't even donate them to Vinnies. The 2nd pair l ordered were described as red, very stylish, comfortable orthopaedic boots...they arrived as a crushed pair of vinyl, shodilly made yukky brown boots with no shape and no size, except a piece of paper with the number 37 stuck on the back of one of the boots. I have no idea what size they really are as l couldn't even get my foot in. They are supposed to have a 30 day refund or exchange if you change your mind. Big, fat lie. After exchanges of emails, they said l could get another pair at no price as l was unsatisfied. So l chose a pair of sandals and when l got to the checkout used the word REPLACEMENT as it was promised as no charge. However with that word used l was charged $28 which in their words was a 50% saving. How could it be a 50% saving when they still have my payment of $59 and now the want $28 more. I refused this offer as after l asked them about that charge they said it was for postage😠 they also said they have no refund or exchange on discounted stock, another lie!! I could go on but l'm so fed up with the whole unfortunate business, l'm bowing out. People, l beg of you, do your homework before you buy. If only l had taken my own advice🤷🏻‍♀️ one of the worst on line shops l have ever done.
NO STARS.....l would like to show you 2 photos of the boots, the one advertised and the other, the actual boots l received but Trustpilot doesn't have the facility to upload photos😥

Scam

This is NOT an Australian company, it is not based in Australia, they do not sell orthopaedic shoes. The ads on Google are verified by Google as ‘Paid for by HONGKONG JIAYOU LOGISTIC CO., LIMITED’…and supposedly their location according to Google is ‘Spain’, lol. China, more like! Cheap nasty products…if they arrive, that is…otherwise you get nothing at all, they just take your money. Beware!

Fake, deceptive marketing

Less than one star. Fully deceptive, misleading advertising of products, using terms like premium, orthopaedic, workmanship.

I also ordered boots, which by any standards, when they arrived were of inferior workmanship, not orthopaedic and NOT premium. Immediately I tried to wear them and 1 tacky metal zipper lost a tooth, making boot unwearable.

ByLunas replied to my email of complaint in which ai sought info on how to return and get a refund. They claimed that as I bought a sale item ai was not entitled to refund, given that such a policy is stated on their website.

WRONG! Under Australian Consumer laws, there is no exemption when goods are not fit for purpose or misrepresented.

Am still in throes of more emails with this crooked online junk outlet

Beware! This company is real scam. rubbish items, I ordered a pair of ankle boots that supposed to be leather and Orthopedic. the shoes arrived after 15 days. It was neither leather nor Orthopedic- It was vinyl. On the same day I requested an address for returning the item, they refused as it was on sale. However, their add indicates that refund available within 5 days. I will report them to the department of fair trading. They don't even deserve one star.

Don't get scammed!

SCAM WARNING: AVOID By Lunas Australia / Bylunasandals at ALL COSTS! – seemingly NOT an Australian Company, FAKE Quality, ZERO Customer Service

My experience with By Lunas Australia (also operating as Bylunasandals) has been nothing short of a complete rip-off and a shocking demonstration of deceptive business practices. Like countless others, I feel utterly conned. This isn't a legitimate shoe business, in my opinion.

Let me break down why you should **NEVER** buy from them:

* **Product Quality is DISGRACEFUL – It's All Cheap Plastic!**.
* Despite their claims of "leather" or "orthopaedic" features, what you receive is overwhelmingly described as **"plastic," "synthetic," or "PVC"** with "not a tiniest amount of leather in them". They are "cheap and nasty", likened to "$2 shop plastic" or being worse than Kmart quality.
* Products arrive with a **"strong, offensive chemical smell"** that makes you want to "throw up" or requires airing out.
* Construction is abysmal: stitching comes undone on unworn boots, soles "won't even bend", and straps break on first wear. Some items start "falling apart within 2 months".

* **NOTHING Like the Advertised Pictures – Bait and Switch!**.
* The actual product **looks "nothing like the advertised pictures"**, appearing as a "cheap knock off" with a "cheap finish".
* Items are delivered "squashed," "bent in half," "completely crushed flat" in plastic bags instead of proper shoe boxes. You might even receive the incorrect color.

* **Sizing is Consistently WRONG – Plan to be Disappointed!**.
* Shoes are **"significantly smaller than labeled"**, often by 1-3 sizes, making them unusable. Some arrive "without any size on them" at all.

* **False Advertising and Deceptive Sales Tactics – A Permanent "Sale" Scam!**.
* Their advertised "50% off for '1 day only'" or "closing down sale" is a **perpetual lie**, running for months. This is a tactic to avoid refunds by claiming "no refunds on sale items".
* They are **NOT an Australian company**. Products ship from overseas, like Hong Kong or China.
* Accusations of false website reviews are rife.

* **Customer Service is a NIGHTMARE – You Won't Get Your Money Back!**.
* They **flat-out refuse full refunds**, especially for "sale" items, directly contradicting their "30-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE".
* They demand you **pay for return shipping and/or a "handling fee"** for exchanges, even for faulty goods. One customer was offered a "free" replacement but had to "order and pay the shipping".
* Communication is non-existent: repeated emails and texts go unanswered, emails bounce back, and some customers have even been blocked.

* **Delivery Issues – Don't Expect Your Order to Arrive!**.
* Orders take **"weeks or even months to arrive"**. Many orders "never arrived" at all.
* They provide **"fake" or "invalid tracking numbers"** that "doesn't exist".

This company is knowingly taking money for products that are drastically misrepresented, often unusable, and frequently not even delivered. They then implement a policy designed to deny refunds, making it impossible to exercise your consumer rights. This conduct is deeply unethical and appears to violate Australian Consumer Law.

**My strong advice:** **DO NOT purchase anything from By Lunas Australia or Bylunasandals!** They are a **total scam** and you will regret it. If you have already fallen victim, immediately contact your bank to dispute the charge or, if you paid via **PayPal, lodge a dispute** – many have had success getting their money back through PayPal's dispute process.

Think of it as buying a beautifully wrapped gift, only to open it and find a broken, smelly toy car instead of the promised expensive gadget, and then being told you can't return it because it was "on sale." Your money will be down the drain.

This review was compiled from my experience, is my opinion, and provided in the public interest.

Avoid at all costs. Scam Alert.

Same as all the other reviews I have just found, that are nothing like the reviews on their website. I ordered a size 7/40, have been given size 5/38. The exchange policy excludes any sale or discounted items. I purchased my boots on 2nd July in the 'closing down' sale. Over 2 weeks later, same sale, same discount. Really disappointed. What a total waste of $100. If I could rate them zero, I would. Do not purchase any items - total scam!!!!

Unfortunately I felt conned by the company.
They said they had 50% off for "1 day only" and were "closing down". They are still advertising this months later.
Be prepared for the shoes to be of relatively poor quality. They are very light and I'm concerned they will fall to pieces if they get wet.
The main thing about them though is that the company says they welcome reviews but there is nowhere to write a review on their official company website or page. This tells me that the reviews you see on the official site must be written by employees of the company itself

SCAM WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!

SCAM WARNING- This is supposedly a family own and run Melbourne store. I tracked my items coming in to Australia. I received a cheap knock off of the shoes in the picture. They are at least 3 sizes smaller than i ordered but couldnt say exactly as the shoes have no tags at all. The shoes are that plasticy material and terrible quality stitching. Reached out for a refund but because the whole site is having a '50% off closing down sale' they wont refund sale items. This site is a scam. BEWARE!

I was looking forward of a pair of orthopaedic leather boots. I ordered a size 43 from my normal 41. On receiving them I found that they are not leather and I couldn't even slide my feet into them.
I tried to get a refund. I was told a refund is not available as they are on sale. They offered a free pair if I paid for the postage. So I not only loose the money I paid for them but on top of that I have to pay postage for a pair which probably won't fit either. I was told they will look into the matter but that was a week ago.
Stay away from them
