We’re a property trader and use BTG on a regular basis. I’ve worked with Scott for many years and he’s always approachable, knowledgeable, and happy to help no matter what’s needed. Suky, the senior auction assistant, is helpful and always quick to respond.
Andy Parker is fantastic on the podium and has a real talent for squeezing every last penny out of the bidders. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BTG Eddisons Property Auctions.

This company and in particular James Vandenbrook were very professional in their approach to the sale of our property. The end result is that we received a fair value and so did the purchaser. I would not hesitate in giving them my unreserved recommendation,

We were kept informed of progress and were given a realistic indication of what would be achieved at auction.
The property was very well advertised and the price achieved exceeded our expectations by a large margin. We would certainly use this company again.

Having spent 30 years of my working career working as a sales advisor for national house builders on housing developments and previous to that working for estate agents, I am very used to the house sales process.
However I have never had experience of selling a property via an auction and quite honestly found the whole idea quite daunting and scary even.
What I can now say as a result of having gone through this whole process and achieving a sale at a price I was satisfied with is the people within the team at Eddisons were superb !
In particular the two main people I dealt were Jim Demitriou and Sam Rashid and their professionalism, knowledge and advice were absolutely invaluable to me throughout this auction process.
I literally would have had no idea at all of what to do or where to start without these guys.
Right from my very first interaction with Jim on the phone regarding my initial enquiry, through to the final days leading up to exchange of contracts where Sam helped me through the process they were both brilliant.
Not once did I feel any pushy over bearing pressure pushing me into anything, quite the opposite they were both very clear, precise and professional, always just helping to guide me in the direction of what best to do to get the most satisfactory outcome for the sale of my property.
Ultimately I achieved a price I was happy with prior to my property even reaching auction, which again was a scary gamble whether to let things run and go to auction or accept a pre auction offer.
But again with the advice and guidance of Sam I decided to accept an offer without even going to auction, which saved me the stress of wondering what may or may not have happened on the day of auction.
As it worked out the buyer offered a price he was happy to pay and I accepted, as I felt it took the jeopardy out of going to full auction.
Could I have achieved more at auction yes possibly, but there is a fine line between being sensible and being greedy, so I feel everybody achieved a happy medium thanks to Jim and Sam.
Can't recommend this company and their staff enough.
Many Thanks
Paul

Everything went wrong. Most awful experience ever. I did not buy at auction. House did not sell at auction. The estate agent contacted me as I was interested in. Requested upfront fees, deposit, auction costs and buyers legal fees. I did not apply at auction, or bid for it, I did not complete any online application forms. I am not applicable paying those fees. The photos updated were old ones, they were taken by Paul Carr and not Humpreys or auctioneers. They were out dated and not accurate and I had not viewed the house. Could not make a decision. The house when viewed was not house could just moved straight into. It requires full house renovation and damp rot treatment. Absolutely disgraceful that I never bidded or applied and the estate agent contacted me. Now saying I am in breach of contract and forced to exchange or entitled to no refund to £17003.00. I am seeking legal action against them now.
I was misled in description theres space to park two cars on front drive. Then statement in communication through email that no where did we state a driveway. I can not park at front as drop down kerb application needs to be applied for as its a high raised kerb end. No off road parking is available near the house. The kitchen has no units all are broken and kitchen appliances are not adequate and bathroom is broken. Damp rot in every room. It is not a house you can just move straight into. I have a disability and was wheelchair bound in 2018 from accident. Although up and about i am not fully recovered and due surgery for turmor removal in my cervex. The photos uploaded were old taken by paul carr, not Humpreys or by Eddisons. The house was not as described or expected when I viewed it. There is a lot of work hard graft needed that was not stated anywhere in the description or by the estate agents Amrit at Humpreys or auctioner Sam Rashid. I am due full refund immediately. It has open plan layout and the house has no planning permission or work completion certification and would require indemnity insurance certificates. Also seperate application with frist national to buy the freehold. The garden fences all broken and garden is not at one level. Lot is wrong with it, it has no cavity walls or insulation. The house requires level 3 housing surveyor to be conducted on it. You even charging for sellers arrears. So many faults that there is no transparency here. Evrything is wrong

It being 50 years since I last sold a house. I was very apprehensive, especially putting it up for auction. We were recommended to Carl Finch, Head of Auctions with BTG Eddisons.
From our first meeting on site he put my mind at rest into which direction to go and from that moment on all went very smoothly. There was little paperwork and we were kept informed at all times.
I cannot speak too highly of their professionalism and friendly service.

We would like to thank James for his guidance and honest feedback when we contacted Eddisons about auctioning our commercial business including our house.
Due to the advice we received from James ,on our first auction we were successful in selling our business / house. Which had previously been on the market for over a year.
We were impressed with the weekly updates we received on interest they had generated on the lead up to the auction.
They have also kept us informed regularly on the progression of the sale.

Good and efficient communication. Being kept informed throughout the process. Getting the result we wanted. Carl was really helpful and personable.
