Very poor communication, no help at all

Very poor communication, road assistance guy André just did pictures of the car to justify his presence and did nothing else to try to fix my car,I waited for 4 hours for the recovery to arrive.

Highly recommended service

Everyone I spoke to was really polite. The mechanic arrived just over an hour after I rang and was able to resolve my problem quickly. I've been with Britannia rescue since it started in 1983 via the CSMA. I've never had a bad experience with them.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Told me they’ll come within 75min but had to wait nearly 3h. Not one call to notify me they will be late. Called them 3 times - each time saying they will be with me within 10-15min - each time that being a lie. The operator even said he would call me back himself within 15min to ensure they had arrived. They didn’t and he didn’t call. Awful service really.

Britannia use locally based recovery…

Britannia use locally based recovery services. In my experience they have responded very quickly, and the guys have been friendly, professional and efficient. Outstanding customer service!

Life on the motorway embankment

It took two and a half hours for Britannia's agent to show up and relieve me of my position perched on a motorway embankment. Eventually the Highways Agency called them to precipitate some action. The agent was excellent when he came but it wasn't possible to get accurate information about when I would get recovered.

Front tyre blowout

I suffered a front tyre blowout on the M56 entry slip road last Thursday 30th April 2026. My call was answered immediately by call-handler Fiona who was both pleasant, efficient and reassuring. A recovery vehicle arrived within 20 minutes (again, a very pleasant and efficient contractor) and I was back on the road within 15 minutes of his arrival. Fiona kept in touch during the incident and contacted me again later to make sure I had got home ok. A first class service all round making a slightly traumatic experience much better than it might otherwise have been. Thanks again! Rob

Home start service

My car wouldn’t start I called Britannia Rescue as I had chosen it November 2025 as my provider following researching a suitable service for my needs The service I received was excellent The rescue mechanic arrived at my home ( I have the home start element of insurance) and was able to diagnose the fault within 10 mins He suggested a couple of solutions and basically I was able to get a new battery fitted and was able to use my car again all within the space of 2 hours Both Muhammad the agent at Britannia and Brad the mechanic were helpful and respectful with me as an elderly female I can’t thank them enough for their patience and understanding I whole heartily recommend this company
