If someone could provide a number for me to contact immediately my mother who is in her 70s had signed up and we are left with an impression that she has done so unwittingly and it probably invalidates the insurance that she had for the puppy. Really disappointed by the lack of safeguarding

Great experience as I have paired up with such a lovely couple. It is mutually beneficial to us.

The company offer a great service for price and allow you to select premium members in search which gives a sense of security when trusting your precious pooch in another person's hands. We've only had positive experiences with other members. Worth considering if your doggo is like ours and needs regular walks which is hard to keep up with at times.

I found this online service really helpful. I joined, searched through information on local dogs and found a part time companion the same day whose owner lives 5 minutes from my house. It was really easy to use. For a very small fee, I also have access to a vet's advice should I need it. I now spend time with the little doggy twice a week and it has made me happier and fitter.

We are completely disappointed, my whole family, with this app. We have been using it for years. I paid the annual fee. We loved borrowing dogs, walking them, and taking care of them long -short term.
I have to pay to take care of and walk someone else's dog.
In the past year and a half, I have written 28 messages out to others saying that we would be happy to meet their furry dog. Out of those 28 messages, they responded to about two, and the rest were never responded .
What I see on this app for a while is that this new system is up and running, that people only seek dog help when they go on holiday for
Long term,short term .
..and when this people they get the help they ask for .The dogs back and they completely forget about you .
We have the feeling that for quite some time now they have been taking advantage of people's goodness and kindness through this application.
Perfect System a LOOPHOLE for rich people who looking free services for their dogs.-for 5 weeks ,for 10 days ,for weekend ...
Only those who write and apply are those who are looking for long-term dog care when they go on holiday.
Whole family very DISSAPPONTED !!
I do not recommend this application to anyone at all who looking regularly furry friends.

I got the perfect result! Within two days of registering I was contacted by the owner of a toy poodle who lived 10 minutes away from me. I have now made a new friend and have the joy of a furry friend a couple of days a week.

The app is really easy to use, great price and being part of this community of dog lovers has enabled us to meet some amazing dogs, support their human parents and made some incredible friendships as a result.
It’s so great to have waggy tails that are excited to see you after losing our own fur baby in July 25.

This is a great concept and I have used BMD for around 3/4 years. In that time my lovely dog has had 3 different borrowers. These people have been THE absolute best and have been absolute stars. I know my dog is well cared for and I get a couple of hours of free time.
Sadly when it comes time to find a new borrower ( we usually have students from overseas and they return home at the end of their studies) the last 12/14 months haven't been easy. Potential borrowers either not responding (no thanks is fine), meeting you then ghosting you ( again no thanks is fine), looking after your dog a couple of times but pushing their Rover profile to get paid then ghosting you when you don't use that.
I hope this changes as I know BMD try and get people to respond but this ghosting nonsense is down to people registering on thd site who don't possess basic social skills.
I will keep focusing on students on the site as I've found them to be fantastic and appreciate the company of a wee dog, a cuppa and a blether.

What a fabulous idea!! I would strongly recommend this app. No brainer on both parties

Can't message anyone unless I pay £13 to the website. Why should I pay to offer someone a service for free?

Terrible. It’s very misleading. Out of 90 dogs only 4 had paid the owner’s fee. I don’t blame them for not paying. It’s extortionate.
Great concept but the business plan behind it is flawed. It should be a nominal fee for both borrower and lender in order to convert peoples interest in to link ups. You can’t contact someone unless the owner has paid the whopping fee and they don’t. It’s too big of an amount to gamble finding someone to look after your dog and save you fees on walking or holiday cover.
Brilliant concept but it just doesn’t work.
NB - in response to your response. Utter hoodwinking is yet again at play. Your ID check isn’t a ‘check’ at all. I had to provide name and address. No proof.
My profile is fully complete.
Your customer service you have asked me to contact to help with my profile gets slated!
You can’t link up because your fee is too high to lenders and no other reason.
The vet line. Well, I’d imagine it’s just as described. A vet line like 111 - take the dog to the vets. I doubt very much it’s more than that. It’s all a bit of a mess past the concept stage.

My dog loves company and with being single and in full time work, it was a struggle before borrow my doggy . it gives me peace of mind he was cared for just as if he was their own while I work and earn.

Once we had paid the fee, we were given names and emails of local dog owners. I messaged four or five of them and have only one reply. Luckily that first reply has worked out and we are happy at the moment with the owners and the dog. It fits well with both couples and more importantly the dog. Apart from giving out owner information, I'm not sure what else Borrow my doggy does.

A Lifeline for Dogs and Owners Alike
I cannot express enough gratitude for BorrowMyDoggy. It has been an absolute game-changer, not just for my dog, but for my entire quality of life.
Living with a disability presents unique challenges, and I was heartbroken at the thought of my dog being permanently confined or lacking the exercise and stimulation they deserve. This platform provided the perfect solution.
The couple I matched with are, quite simply, lovely. They have become a vital part of our routine, and the bond they have formed with my dog is heartwarming. They are reliable, kind, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. I wouldn't swap them for the world!
For anyone who needs a helping hand—or for those who simply want to share the joy of a dog—this service is a brilliant, community-driven lifeline. It has truly transformed our situation for the better. Thank you!

Joined BMD last year. We have used a few sitters / borrowers so far all very kind, friendly and helpful. Our dog literally pulls my arm off when she goes to a couple of the regulars!! I would say it is very easy to use, very good value and we have met many lovely sitters / borrowers. Would, and do, highly recommend. first used on 22/08/25 and many times since

I have been a borrower with Borrow my Doggy since November 2024, I walk 3 dogs on a ad hoc basis and absolutely love it. I intend to continue walking dogs for many years to come!

I joined borrow my doggy because I have a job that means I’m away from home for long periods in the day. I have met a wonderful dog called Simba who I adore. I love to go walking around the park with him, he brightens my day!

So pleased I joined BorrowMyDoggie over a year ago now. Not being able to have a dog of my own I enjoy ‘borrowing’ my two new doggie friends and taking them out on walks.
I was contacted by their owners through the website and after initial meetings I now take them once a week. It helps their owners and the dogs get a new human friend and I get a lovely new four legged friend, so all round a win!! Highly recommend joining BorrowMyDoggie!! 🐾
