Great Experience at the Darlington BMW Rider Training super friendly instructors, Passed my A2 License first try will definitely be coming back here to do my A License! 😆🏍️

I was looking for a motorcycle refresher course as I wanted to get another bike. This place offered just that. It is a very slick and professional setup they have in Royston. They supply all the equipment, helmet, gloves, boots etc and of course a bike. They have 2:1 tuition and David our instructor was excellent. I learnt so much during the course of the day. I can't recommend this place enough.

Three things that make BMW Rider Training at Darlingon exceptional are 1. The team of highly experienced trainers 2. Their attitude to training to meet your needs to achieve the CPD, Mod 1 and Mod 2 levels reflects their experience to fit your needs and finally, 3. You are training on great BMW equipment.

Excellent Experience!

I attended the 6-day Intensive Direct Access Course in Exeter. Despite being a novice rider and having never previously visited the city, let alone ridden around it, I was understandably anxious.

However, I cannot praise BMW Rider Training and my instructor, Chris Kingsley, highly enough. The facilities in Exeter are incredible, and Chris K was a calming and reassuring presence, as well as being informative, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable; always taking time to educate and constructively explain and never pressuring.

Chris Kingsley made the 6 days an incredibly worthwhile experience. Even if I hadn't passed MOD 1 and MOD 2, I still learned a tremendous amount about road craft that I'll take with me as both a car driver and motorcycle rider.

I thoroughly recommend BMW Rider Training, with their second-to-none facilities, and Chris Kingsley, an excellent and composed instructor.

All of it was brilliant. I would recommend to anyone thinking of learning to ride.

Superb rider experience lead by a very highly trained, highly knowedgeable lead in a brilliantly organised tour.

Excellent trip, really well organised. The riding routes were engaging and well planned, and the training over the 3 days was expertly delivered. Will absolutely book again.

This was the 2nd time I attended rider training at Royston. The staff were welcoming and created a relaxed atmosphere. I appreciated the time spent on theory and whiteboard discussion before hitting the streets. The flexibility and delivery of instruction (by Dave) was outstanding, and enticed me to return to Royston BMW to maintain and enhance my rider skills.

Fabulous 3 days all round. Great instruction and even better fun 👍

Meandering through villages and country lanes they visited five counties in a day, experiencing a variety of road situations.
The training was soft; the asphalt passively acceptant.
In the leisurely quest for café stops and fishfinger sandwiches, good progress was made...

I recently completed an Intensive 7 day DAS course at the BMW centre in Royston with no previous riding experience. I had Toby as our main instructor for the week and the instruction was absolutely brilliant. Perfectly paced and delivered - leading to a first time pass for both Mod 1 & 2. You can tell the entire team is passionate about what they do - teaching you to ride safely! At each stage I felt throughly prepared for what was next to come - and the benefit of doing it intensively is you really have time to practice the skills learned, and iron out any issues while it’s fresh in your mind. I work in a safety critical industry, and chose BMW as I know how important it is to lay the best foundations early on in any new skill. If you’re thinking about learning to ride - they will teach you way beyond the basic requirements to pass the test. Thanks for a great week - and a special thanks to Toby again for being such a great instructor!

Great course and brilliant instructor

Best week I have had in a long time. The instructors are brilliant. You see there passion for riding and teaching to ride well not just pass the test. The facility’s, bikes and gear are brilliant.

I did the 5 day intensive DAS course and the experience was far more enjoyable than I ever could have expected. The instructors were professional and friendly and incredibly patient and the tuition felt very personal. I've heard some horror stories about other riding schools but I really couldn't fault BMW rider training in any way.

I just completed a week of training with these guys and wanted to share how impressed I was.

From start to finish, the whole experience was delivered with a level of professionalism that genuinely sets them apart from other training providers. Everything was well structured, clearly communicated, and ran exactly as it should.

A special thank you to Bob, who was not only a fantastic instructor but also an absolute pleasure to learn from. His teaching style really suited the way I learn. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide me this week.

I’ve come away feeling far more confident and capable, which is exactly what you want from this kind of training.

I’ll have no hesitation in recommending them to others. I’ll definitely be back in a couple of years to complete my full licence.

I have just finished my 7 day intensive course with BMW at Royston and can’t say enough good things! I had a little bit of experience with bikes but had never ridden properly on the road and it had been over 15 years since then.

Thanks to the excellent instruction and mentoring from all of the team at Royston I was able to get my CBT and pass my MOD1 & 2 on the first try and can’t thank them all enough for their patience and commitment throughout the week. The instructors are all top-notch teachers. Helpful, instructive, patient, empathetic (when I needed it). Absolutely no issue when I dropped my bike twice (sorry about that!). All the bikes and riding gear are BMW top-quality.

I enthusiastically recommend BMW Rider Training to anyone who wants motorcycle training.

Toby was a very friendly and experienced instructor who prepared us for an excellent exam.

The facility is professional and comfortable and so are the bikes.

A good and professional school, that has patient and trains you well for the tests.

What a fantastic experience. I enrolled on the DAS guaranteed pass course as an older female with no bike experience at all except being absolutely terrified of them. The staff at the riding school are full of encouragement and patience. I started the journey on a 310 bike which is no tiny machine and passed the CBT and progressed to the F800GSA, I was terrified of it and STORM Benjamin stopped play on day 5 which meant the tests could not go ahead. The course was parked until after Christmas. In January I upgraded the course to 1-1 tuition and the dedication of Ian the Instructor is second and none and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am now the proud owner of a full A Licence. All the instructors at this riding school are fantastic and full of encouragement, they are friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel at ease. If you want to learn to ride don’t look anywhere else and also there is some stunning countryside to enjoy whilst you are learning.
