This experience was shocking, the guy came to the house, spent 3 hours and then mailed 1 week later to advise he could not issue a cert. We paid 210e and got a refund of 170e

Outrageous quotes been given until one or two reasonable prices show up
Why is there such huge disparities in the prices these ber assessors are charging for these certs, one hours work and I was given a quote for as high as €910 and lowest €190 for exact same service. Are they pulling these figures out of their arse pockets :-(
Cheapest price is to go through an estate agents they usually have a very good and reasonable ber assessor on their books

The site itself is great
The site itself is great, but it would be better if the individual assessors could be rated so you know what you are getting. The assessor I hired was ridiculously slow in their response to schedule the inspection and therefore I did not get an inspection as soon as I needed. I was scheduled for a 9am assessment on a Saturday morning for which the assessor disappointingly arrived over 2 hours late which was totally disrespectful, and when I asked them for the SEAI form to be completed as soon as possible they wanted to charge extra for expediting it which I found very cheeky. I am still waiting for the forms a week later. I would not recommend this assessor to anyone else but no way of warning others.

Two bookings,still no BER
The first booking I had arranged,cancelled the night before the ber was to get started and I requested my 40 euro deposit back and twelve days later I still haven’t received it.I booked a second BER two days later and promised me he’d have it done in four days and 9 days later I’m still waiting on it and all he is concerned about is how snd when he’s getting paid,so I think think the service is very poor and frankly I’m going to go further with this matter,especially regarding non refund of deposit
