AVOID - appalling company acting unlawfully
Appalling company acting unlawfully.
Delivered a towel rail on 14 April 2025. It was stored in our spare bedroom in its box until needed by our bathroom fitters. Bathroom fitters unboxed it on 20 June 2025 to find that it was rusty around the valves. Sent images to Bath Deal who said that I am beyond 30 day return policy. I highlighted that I have up to 6 years to return a product with manufacturer error. Again they replied 30 days company policy. I phoned and spoke was told I would be out on to Manager Charmaine. I was actually put on to Lucy who must be the rudest person working in customer services. She agreed that I have rights under the consumer rights act but refused to do anything about it because their policy is 30 days. I warned her that this is unlawful and that their policy does not supercede consumer rights legislation. She just kept speaking over me in a very aggressive and unprofessional way.
I have tried to find company details so I can right a legal letter to their CEO. There are no details available online. Dodgy company, operating unlawfully, rude staff - best avoided!
