The booking process was clear and simple until I encountered a screen informing me that the fare I'd selected was no longer available. I was offered to accept a higher fare which was disconcerting.... See more

Terrible customer experience, the booking suddenly disappeared from Air New Zealand website and they refuse to connect with the airline to check what has happened. Now I cannot do the check in or select seats.

There were some issues the first time I tried to book, where PayPal payment and Aunty Betty didn’t link up - which delayed me being able to book.
Fortunately, by the time I received the ‘refund’, I was still able to rebook the original flights at the same price.

Aunt Betty may be an okay company for booking a ticket but if you want any extras beware. I booked and paid for seat reservations on my international flight from Auckland to London - only to find at check-in that no seats had been reserved for me.
I'm sure the company are okay to deal with if nothing goes wrong but if there are problems it is very difficult to get them resolved.
I won't be using aren't Betty again and I suggest you don't either

When everything goes right... great, you've got yourself a cheap fare. When ANYTHING goes wrong, whether it's your fault or not, you're doomed by the world's worst customer service. I had return flights booked from Sydney to Edinburgh in May 2026 that were cancelled by Qatar airways due to the situation in the middle east. Didn't get notified by Aunt Betty at any point, I had to log in to the Qatar website to find out a week before that they were cancelled. I was then on phone hold for 3 hours before I could speak to someone at Aunt Betty about processing my refund. It's been 10 weeks, no refund received... called Aunt Betty again today, waited on hold for an hour, then was told that it could be up to 12 weeks or beyond for refund. Worst company in the world.

Do not trust you have baggage allowance even if it appears on your invoice and you think you have paid for it. Check your booking. When I queried it they said this booking has no luggage allowance despite having an invoice stating I had 23kgs. When I emailed they offered no soultion and when I called the solution is I need to purchase it and send a reciept and boarding pass to get a refund for the luggage. Not a very good customer experience and will never use them again. So glad I double checked and didn't arrive at the airport and find out I had no allowance.

Extremely disappointed with Aunt Betty.
Ticket number: 157-2129890455
Qatar Airways booking reference: 8AEAMT
Aunt Betty booking reference: ABY34243786
My flight with Qatar Airways was cancelled due to the conflict in the Middle East, and it has now been over 3 months since I requested a refund.
After getting nowhere with Aunt Betty, I contacted Qatar Airways directly and was informed that my ticket was refunded on 26 March 2026. Despite this, I still have not received my money.
Customer service has been frustrating and unhelpful. There is no easy way to speak to a real person, and every time I need assistance, I have to wait at least 2 hours to get a response. When I finally do get through to someone, I receive a different explanation every time and no clear answer about where my refund is or when I will receive it.
Getting a refund for a flight cancelled by the airline should not be this difficult. The lack of communication, transparency, and accountability has been extremely disappointing.
I would not recommend Aunt Betty based on my experience.

I booked Japan's flight tickets ( China Southern)for the month of October 26. Aunt Betty cancelled our flight tickets at very short notice without informing us properly. When we tried to contact them they gave me couple of options. I had choosen one of those options , but still they did not booked my flight tickets. It's already been 4-times contacting them, however end up with no appropriate response from their side. Moreover, you have to wait at least 1hour to contact them. Even to refund my money they are taking around 12weeks which is also very frustating. They put me nowhere at the moment. I would highly discourage pepole not to book tickets from them.

I attempted to book a flight on 16/6/26 and immediately after payment, the website displayed an error. A pending transaction appeared on my bank account. I did not receive any email confirmation or booking reference.
When I finally got through to customer service (after 30mins wait) I was first advised they had no record of the booking, and to contact my bank. I requested escalation but was advised there was no supervisor available. When i contacted my bank, they advised the payment has gone through, I called back and spoke to another Aunt Betty customer service rep (after another long wait), they advised that the booking was cancelled on their end, however I still had not received any email confirmation or communication.
I spoke to 3 different Aunt Betty customer service representatives for 30-60mins, got a different response each time and the issue was still not resolved. They are unprofessional, talk in circles and were not helpful.
I am now escalating with my bank to get my money back (over $2000) that Aunt Betty have taken without booking my flights.
Update 24/9- money was refunded and I have booked elsewhere. I never receive a ABY reservation number.

I have always tied booking with Aunt Betty because they mostly offered the best rate and are reliable. Also when the airline has changed flight details they have been very helpful with flight details.

Do not use Aunt Betty
We purchased refundable tickets, the airline cancelled our flight, we still couldn’t get a refund after days on hold and being sent back and forth from them to the airline. Very stressful and lost almost $4k

Can you please answer my emails. Due to a medical emergency with my son I had to cancel my flight home. I have tried to contact Aunt Betty multiple times over many platforms and have had no luck in getting through to anyone. An okay agent to book with but you will be abandoned if you have any issues.

Booking with Aunt Betty is risky. They are unethical.
Before paying, it showed included checked luggage, as did the Booking Confirmation and Manage Booking. However the eTicket didn’t.
Contacting Aunt Betty numerous times was time wasting and useless as they stonewalled us. They claimed it was an auto reply error, blamed the airline, and told us to contact the airline.
I sent it to productreview mediation and was contacted by Brad who said luggage would be added. It never happened despite following up. It was a lie!
The airline said AB had messed up the booking. We paid an extra €80 for luggage.
What sort of unethical company doesn’t honour their booking confirmation and then further deceives you? AVOID.

They don’t pick up the phone even in emergencies. When you finally get through, they promise to fix the situation and tell you that they will get back to you in a few days but it’s been 2 weeks and we haven’t heard anything yet. Terrible service. Avoid at all costs!

I booked a Singapore airline return flight to Europe with Aunt Betty and after many years of travelling I now understand to never book flights with an online agency. Its better to go with the airline direct if you want any power over what you purchased. Don't be fooled by the lower flight cost agencies offer because you will have no control if the airline cancels any of the flight legs. After many phone calls and emails I now have to travel 4 days earlier than planned. Otherwise we would have been stuck in Singapore for 26 hours instead of 2 hours.

Process was easy...TBH, best I have ever undertaken! Very easy to follow. Great everyday language. Simple instructions. No 'hidden' imposts e.g. booking and paying for seats and adding luggage like you find on Aunt Betty competitors. The booking experience was fast, no nonsense, and great follow-up with prompt email confirmations etc. I also loved the opportunity to purchase an e-Sim card when I made the booking. I normally use another provider but the price was the same and I trust Aunt Betty who made it easy to just click onto the purchase.

My Email to Marvin (manager at Aunt Betty, based in the Philippines). Btw, I bought a flexible ticket, and when I wanted to change my flight, they thought of anything to avoid the service I paid for.
Brilliant staff you have there working for you.
Firstly, they are lying when they say I yelled at them or was rude. Phone call recording and my wife are there as evidence.
Secondly, they do not want to speak with my wife about my ticket.
Thirdly, every time I spoke to any of your staff, I recorded the phone call, which will be presented to the Australian Ombudsmen, with your name, Jen, clearly stated as the person who failed to deliver what I paid Aunt Betty for.
In our conversation, I gave you permission to speak with my wife and resolve the issue. You promised to follow up on that once I depart for Europe. Apparently, you and Jen are much better at talking than delivering what I have paid your company for. Not only that, I shall provide all this communication evidence to the Australian Ombudsman and to anyone who even considers purchasing tickets from your company. I shall also forward this correspondence to Flight Centre, your parent company, for their records.
I leave it now to you and your company to make the next move. As a last resort, I would be happy to move my return ticket to next year as well. That, for any travelling agency, should not be an issue.
Please do not engage with this company, as they BLOCK YOUR PHONE NUMBER SO THEY DO NOT NEED TO DEAL WITH YOU, TICKET CHANGE OR ANY HELP YOU MIGHT NEED.
