Security doorbell is now just a doorbell...
It was provided by local police following close by burglaries so didn't actually buy it. Installed it, perfect for a while as recordings were saved, but now the trial has ended, I don't have the funds for a subscription, be it £7.99 or 19.99...
Shame local police is probably not aware of this issue since there are a lot of council houses in the neighbourhood without much funds to spare for subscriptions.
So from a security camera doorbell, now a simple doorbell as nothing is recorded and saved (pointless for the police...)
I live on a main road with lots of foot traffic so a 24h recording would be helpful without a subscription in case footage is needed.I'm happy to delete video footage on a daily basis (which I did during the trial),but I will look at cheaper alternatives as this one doesn't fit the intended purpose unless I pay for what I deem an expensive subscription.

I have submitted a formal complaint regarding my Arlo doorbell, and have raised several cases, which suffers from a persistent 15+ second live-view delay that prevents real-time communication.
This device is a security and intercom tool. The delay means I cannot see or speak to visitors before they leave, making the product unfit for its intended purpose.
I have a fully documented support history including troubleshooting and network optimization:
• High-performance fiber connection (500/50 Mbps)
• Manual 2.4GHz channel assignment to eliminate interference
Despite emailing executive contacts, support team and setting a formal 7-day deadline, I received no response.
This is a serious failure to respond to a consumer complaint regarding a security device. I am still open to resolution, including a replacement unit capable of real-time performance or an alternative resolution.
Arlo, please confirm receipt and escalate this immediately. Ignoring this complaint is unacceptable for a product marketed as a reliable home security solution.

Good hardware but subscriptions and the most expensive out there. You can even download footage and have to use your own third party app to do this. Arlo need to look at the rest of the home cctv market and understand what you can and more for less cost. Netgear need to wake up.

I have been having a series of problems with doorbell and camera not working. I have spent a lot if tome on the phone, chatbot but never completely solved the problems. The last try ended with them connecting me with Kamal - who I know is in the US, (he previously told me he could not help me), and asked for my card details. As I am paying £50+ a month, I think my support should be covered by that. Impossible! I am thinking i need to leave them. I want a technician to come and reset my system, but they are not interested.

Arlo is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. 2 months to deal with an issue and still not. resolved.
The use a call centre in Morocco called Diablo, who have very little knowledge and absolutely no decision-making ability. I now assume Arlo the company is 1 guy sitting in the back of his parents' house; this is certainly not a real company. I have contacted Amazon about them and asked them to stop stocking Arlo. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

They overcharged me for my service plan, been chasing them for 2 weeks, I have been on hold for 1 hour x 5 times, eventually spoke with someone this morning who sounded very junior and told me there was no escalation path apart from her!!

I have 3 cameras situated in my unmanned workshop 30 miles away. Live view has stopped and needs a firmware update. I have tried to do this remotely and each time (taking 5mins) it fails to do this. I have to travel 30 miles to reset and update the hub and cameras. Its a joke and very expensive too....
