I used Arlo for several years. When I started you didn’t have to pay for a subscription. The older cameras would have detection issues constantly which they had no reliable fix for (software updates included). Then they came out with newer cameras, which of course came with a catch 22. Subscription service! I was basically stuck with and paid for a service that wasn’t truly necessary. The next year the price went up drastically and I decided I wasn’t gonna play the bait and switch game anymore. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR GREAT SECURITY CAMERAS WITH THE BS SUBSCRIPTION——-CHECK OUT EUFY SECURITY. THEY’RE SOLD ON AMAZON. FAIR PRICE!

The lady that assisted me was very helpful. She sorted the issue that I had with my doorbell, after changing my WiFi. When our phone call suddenly cut off, she called me back straight away. She was very polite and thorough and didn't rush me. A great job.

I purchased this camera brand new from the Arlo website, and it stopped working within the two-year warranty period. When I contacted support, they initially sent a replacement battery and advised me to reinstall the camera. Unfortunately, the issue was clearly a defective unit, and this did not resolve anything.
It then took over a month to receive another response, citing staffing issues. Eventually, they agreed to send a replacement camera. The replacement unit arrived scratched and clearly refurbished — and it also did not work. I documented multiple failed installation attempts with screenshots.
Support again delayed responding and sent lengthy reinstall instructions. Before I could even complete the steps and reply, my case was closed. Since then, my emails have gone unanswered.
As a customer who owns multiple Arlo cameras, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I expected better warranty support and quality control. Based on this experience, I will be replacing my entire system with another brand.

Can’t download videos. Also keeps going through verification when I’m using same phone. Arlo instructions tried and failed to resolve issue. Still cannot download so no point in subscribing. It’s fine as a door bell but can take minutes to get notified often when the guest has left.

Fact-based Warning for Customers:
I am reporting a critical reliability and service failure. Four of my Arlo cameras failed simultaneously—a clear indication of a systemic defect rather than a random hardware issue.
After extensive communication regarding this total system failure, Arlo's official resolution was to send a single "Certified Refurbished" unit as a replacement for the entire situation.
The flaws in their logic are clear:
Systemic Defect vs. Cheap Patch: When four units crash at once, providing a used/refurbished unit does not address the underlying reliability crisis of the product line.
Refurbished is NOT New: Replacing original equipment with second-hand hardware is a breach of trust for customers who paid for new, professional-grade security.
Resource Waste: The time cost of troubleshooting and re-installing equipment far outweighs the value of a refurbished unit.
If you value the security of your property and the reliability of your hardware, be aware that Arlo's warranty policy prioritizes clearing out refurbished inventory over actual customer security.
Avoid this brand if you require professional-grade reliability.

Cameras easy to set up and work well. Bought different wall mounts off Amazon to give me more options on positioning as the ones supplied with cameras are a bit limited. Great cameras would highly recommend pick up motion well and clear images. Also comes with a light and sound capture and comes with the option of a siren or the ability to talk to intruders.

Would Not recommend.
For the price and extremely unhelpful customer service issues it is not worth it.
I was having issues with the doorbell and camera systems as they were unresponsive to charging, the customer service team told me to run the entire, complex diagnostic reset (that of what you would expect a highly trained engineer to come and do), when this didn’t resolve the issues they stopped responding (this was 4 months ago now) and run me in circles trying to raise new queries.
They have increased the many prices involved in the running of the doorbell/ cloud storage/ cameras to fund their new unwanted and frankly dangerous AI inclusions.
The app is unusable and the system is fickle and hard to reconnect to once the battery dies (if yours is wireless).
If you don’t mind paying too much for a system that only works some of the time (when it works it is good however) then Arlo is for you.

I have tried and tried to cancel my subscription through the website, the app, the chatbot, support help. Every time I get to the option to cancel I get a message "saying arlo not currently available try again later".
There is no email contact! No telephone contact! I did find email to deliveries of orders. Begged for help from Arlo orders department. Got a reply saying " we cannot help this is nothing to do with orders" I persistered and requested my email to be passed to support. Reply same as last time. The structure of this business is designed to stop customers cancelling. The only way I can get there attention is to stop my payments through my bank. Which I have done. Got a message on the app saying " we cannot process your payment please update your payment details" i thoughts are. Arlo look at the CUSTOMER! details I gave you and contact me by emai. Watch this space. Disgusting! Customer Service does not exist. Very very disappointed with the product and the service.
I have received a response from Arlo I supplied my email address as requested in my response. Then here we go again another request for contact information. It is going on and on. The Customer Service just terrible. Just send me a email on the email address I have supplied to two different areas of your business, one refused to help and now you are sending me more links which AGAIN do not work. Over to you Arlo sort this out.

Stick the Protected by Arlo sticker in your front window. You may as well leave your front door open.
Had Gen 1 system and it functioned. Nothing spectacular but worked.
Decided to upgrade to Gen 3 and nothing prepared me for this. Hardware was ok. But the software is a disgrace. Scheduling and automation is confusing as it is unclear what takes precedence, a scheduled command or a geofence command? It seems neither.
Oh and the support centre is only open Mon to Fri 9-5. I'm sorry but I have a job.
No out of hours support when I am actually at home and trying to get the system to work.
Returning for a full refund.

I would give zero stars if I could. My Arlo app has updated. I have lost connection to a hub and cameras I cannot get them back onto the app as apparently they cannot be found. I’m still getting notifications for the missing hub and cameras but there is no way I can access them to see what they are. Customer service is non-existent. This has been going on for a month. The app was working perfectly fine until they did the update. I have tried contacting Arlo on numerous occasions but no luck at all.  I am now left with a useless piece of kit. I would not recommend Arlo as there is no customer service.
