Wonderful experience! So glad we camped and stayed on the ground - lodges and aircraft might've been more comfortable, but they would've diluted the experience.
The team on the ground did very well: the food was very good by any standard and the earth toilets less traumatic than expected. Our driver/guide was knowledgeable and patient. Everyone was friendly and capable. Although we didn't find all our "targets", they can't be magicked, that's a part of birding.
Tips: take plenty small US$ notes for tips - not all services merit $5 or more. We took US$800 but should've had more $1 notes. When the guide suggests plastic bags to protect gear from rain - USE THEM! Take reusable plastic bags and take them home. If you visit the Victoria Falls or go on a boat trip, allow for Zimbabwean national park fees: US$50 per person for Vic Falls and $10 pp for the boat trip. I was lucky to have the cash with me (although Vic Falls fees were added to the hotel bill). Recommend aisle seats on long-haul if you react to Malaron tablets. Don't overeat - there's little opportunity for exercise.

We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Sri Lanka, organised by Lisa at 2by2 Holidays. All the arrangements went to plan and the accommodation and transport was excellent. As she did when she organised our previous holiday, with 2by2, to South America, Lisa listened to what we wanted and tailored the holiday to our requirements. Having decided that we would like to go on our first Safari we contacted Vikki at 2 by 2 Holidays in February 2024. She was extremely helpful and put together a package for a trip in December 2024 within our budget. All of our flights, transfers and accommodation worked really well. We had a fantastic Safari experience followed by a Christmas beach resort holiday. We are very happy with our experience.

We were really impressed with communication from first enquiry onwards as Susan showed great patience in designing a holiday that matched our aspirations. Additional information about visas, jabs and what to expect locally set us up to travel without any concerns.

The local agents in India and Buthan were helpful and it was really nice to be met at airports and transferred to hotels without having to worry about how to get there. Our guides and drivers were prompt, curteous and helpful, but I'd like to make spectial mention of our driver Anil who we had from N. Delhi through to Jiapur, our guide Iqbal who accompanied us in Agra and our guide and driver in Bhutan, the Nymgel brothers, who were great company and went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us.
Our hotels were clean and comfortable, some better than others. The Trident in Udaipur was especially good with it luscious grounds and birdlife. If we had one gripe, the airport hotel in N. Delhi fell below the standard of service we received compared to the other, and would suggest choosing a different one for future clients.

The holiday itself, with all the sights and experiences, was extraordinary, and left us with memories we'll always treasure.

This is our 3rd trip booked through 2by2, and as usual it was extremely well planned, to our exact requirements.
All the arrangements went smoothly and all the hotels they had suggested were perfect for us.
We shall certainly be using them again in the future..

A thoughtfully crafted holiday around India for two couples, very joined-up. We felt supported on the one occasion we had need to contact them during the holiday ( query over a late check-out). We would use them again.

Cannot recommend 2by2 enough! Our Sri Lanka and Maldives honeymoon was everything we dreamed of and more. Amazing communication from start to finish with Kate who was super friendly and answered any questions immediately.

Everything went like clockwork and that was not an easy task when we had 13 flights, 17 hotels and visited 4 countries in South Amercia.

I have been using 2by2 to organise my trips for around 10 years. I trust their ability to efficiently make all the arrangements so that the trip is seamless but mostly value their knowledge and insights on the locations particularly Africa. They are able to listen to your particular requirements and help tailor a perfect trip.

2by2 planned an amazing holiday for us. They listened to what was important to us and booked the most amazing safari package and Cape Town hotel. Both the lodge and hotel were really great, fantastic standard of accommodation and food. We couldn’t be happier. Transfers and trips were also arranged which made everything run smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will certainly be using them again for future adventures.

Absolutely amazing holiday to South Africa. The package 2by2 holidays put together for us was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble even when we wanted to change a few things.
Itinerary was sent to us with every detail we would need from times of pick ups, destinations & names of guides etc.
We also downloaded the App that they recommended which was well worth it with all itinerary details too.
Our trip consisted of visiting:-
Rorkes Drift, Isandlawana, Safari, Boer War site, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. All hotels and lodges were fantastic, everybody so friendly and willing to help as were all the guides who were brilliant.
A first class and very professional service we would definitely use again.
Only one regret…which was our fault!
We wished we had booked for 3 nights instead of 2 nights at the lodges as seemed a little rushed at times. But will remember for next time!

As a couple with significant mobility issues we were nervous about travelling to South Africa. From planning to execution, 2by2 made this a brilliant experience. They recommended the right time to go and found accommodation and activities that met our needs and interests really well; wildlife, history, culture, wine!! The guides they used in South Africa were amazing and supported us through the whole trip. We felt safe and comfortable for the entire 18 days.
